A place for organising reddit meetups and social events in London. From our legendary pub crawls, to midweek meetups. Or anything else you can think of.
This is not for promoters or advertisers. It's for events that you are attending. For gigs, pre-drinks at a nearby pub is good. Check any of the other posts, mobile numbers are the best way to find someone.
Newcomers are always welcome. No exceptions. No need to post an introduction, just reply to the thread to say hi, and turn up! Although we do have the rule you need to be 18+, even for non-drinking events.
Guidelines:
1: Post the subject line IN THE FOLLOWING FORMAT:
[DD/MM/YY] Event @ Location
2: Provide as many details as possible, with links to relevant websites in the self-post. Mods may remove vague or unclear posts.
3: You must be going to events you post.
4: Provide your contact details to help others find you as early as possible. On the day at the latest.
5: Give plenty of notice - anything less than a few days is usually a bad idea.
6: Don't post links to WhatsApp Groups (or other chat groups) in the Sub - there are bots that trawl the internet for WhatsApp groups and spam them

Hello, you amazing and beautiful people.
I am automod, and this is the monthly stickied anything goes post.
For main posts on the sub, we only allow posts that are about meetups, where everyone is invited and aren't self-promotion events.
While at the same time, people do want some of those threads! This is the anything goes (well as last as it's still being a nice human!)
So post whatever is not an event over here! Questions, looking for someone to play chess with 1-2-1, whatever you desire.
As a reminder, here's the "What is LSC" post as well. https://www.reddit.com/r/LondonSocialClub/comments/u6f3zo/what_is_londonsocialclub_2022_remix/
My friends are not going out tonight and I was getting bored at home, so I'm heading to Tottenham Court Road now for a beer or two. Anyone in a similar situ that wants to go out last minute for some friendly drinks and chat? I'm a 32M Italian friendly easygoing folk. Let me know! :-)
Hey,
I hope y'all having a nice weekend and perhaps I can make it even better for you. Sadly, I've not managed to get over the flu, so I can't make it to the Idles gig tonight at Ally Pally. My mate has messaged and he can't make it either!
If you're looking for 2x tickets for tonight, please let me know. I'm not bothered about price; I just want to make sure an Idles fan doesn't miss out.
Peace.
I can no longer make it to this night unfortunately so if anyone would like my ticket let me know! It isn't sold out yet but willing to sell it for cheaper than the price on the website. Please hit me up if you're interested!
I'm going to the Fleetwood Bac concert tonight. If anyone else is going happy to meetup. I'll probably get to a nearby pub for 6pm (haven't decided which one yet but maybe the Camden Head. Suggestions welcome!).

Looking to spend an evening a week chatting with friendly redditors? Hammersmith Hang Out is for you.
So what happens at this meetup?
Each week this meet up is held in a pub - we all sit around a table and generally chat about anything we can think of.. that's pretty much all there is to it! There are usually a few who will get dinner from the Thai restaurant at the pub. We get people aged from 18 to in their 60s, but the majority are 24-40. You can turn up at any time, people usually start leaving between 7 and closing, there are nearly always plenty left at closing time (last orders -22:30). Currently we are averaging 15-25 people turning up.
Do you talk about reddit and memes all evening?
No! reddit is hardly ever mentioned, there are no laptops in sight and we've had plenty of people who have not used reddit.
Can I come along?
Of course - that is why it is posted on LSC each week, the meet up is very newbie friendly - we have people new to LSC join us regularly. If you're very very shy don't hesitate to message/text/call me ahead of the pub and let me know, I'll do what I can to get you chatting away with everyone as if you've been every week.
What if I don't want alcohol?
No problem! The pub also serves various soft drinks, fruit juices, tea, coffee and water. We have non-drinkers often.
Since after the above people still asked...
I'm ********* is it OK if I come along?
We have had men, women, transgender, British, foreign (even a northerner or two), gay, straight, drinkers, non-drinkers, smokers, non-smokers, religious and non-religious
In fact, the only people who wouldn't be welcome are those under 18 or anyone who is not able to conduct themselves appropriately in an adult social situation.
Location/Time: Latymers, W6 8BS / People often start turning up from 19:00ish but can be as early as 18:30. I'll get there for 19:00
Pic here to force the preview image
Our tables are reserved, we start on the circular tables close to the entrance and we might spill over onto the table(s) nearby.
The first table will at the front to the right of the door. (also, there will be Reddit on the reserved signs)

Hello everyone
There are some fairly priced tickets for Hamilton on Tuesday at 19:30PM. Few stall seats at £67 per person left and I [F29] would really like to find someone to come with me because I love Hamilton but have never seen it live.
Ideally you also know the music from Hamilton but if not that's cool too. If you like musicals too that would be great.
If you are interested let me know and we can start planning :)
Hi all, We will be at the Kings Head in Tooting for the Liverpool Vs Manchester City game this Sunday [01/12/2024]. I'm looking to get there at around 3.30pm, kick off at 4pm. Let me know if your interested in joining. We have a WhatsApp group so DM me and ill send you a link.
Anyone interested in going to Passyunk in Fitzrovia and catching the Bears - Lions game this evening ? Just moved here from Chicago and looking to watch the Bears. Game is at 5:30pm, planning on getting there around 6pm. Go Bears! 🐻
I'm going to this but yet to book my ticket as it will depend on interest (plenty available so time doesn't seem to be of the essence). Is anyone else going or keen to go? If already going we can meet before/after for a drink, or if standing I can get a standing ticket and go together. Tickets range from about £40 to £76 for standing.

This Sunday is national pie day (not to be confused with the 14th of March, national pi day).
Savoury pies are better than sweet pies, and the best savoury, readily commercially available pies are usually chicken and mushroom. I'll fight anyone on that topic.
Come and join us at the Canonbury Tavern for the pub quiz!
What:
Pub Quiz - Exactly as it sounds! A quizmaster asks the questions and teams write down their answers. Questions cover a range of subjects and the quiz features picture and music rounds. It is all for fun and there is no pressure to memorise the encyclopaedia before coming.
Where:
The Canonbury Tavern https://maps.app.goo.gl/xocQRtc3PDJrQF676?g\_st=ic
Our tables are usually immediately on the left as you enter the pub, but you can ask staff for LSC when you arrive - there is usually someone with a laptop who has a record of bookings.
When:
Every Sunday, the pub quiz starts at 19:00, with the picture sheet being given out around 18:40. Tables are booked under "LSC" from 18:30. Three tables are booked but we will try to make any number work. We recommend arriving around 18:30-18:45 as you'll get to take a greater part in answering the picture sheet questions, but it's also really helpful in working out how many teams we'll have - as well as chatting beforehand!
How much:
£2.50 per person payable to the pub quiz people (Cashless only).
Who:
All are welcome. We typically make three teams with around 18 people.
Do I need to sign up / am I too late?:
Ideally, please leave a comment either on this post or in the WhatsApp group to let us know you're coming - with as much notice as possible - so we know how many teams we will be and roughly how many per team. It's not a huge problem to turn up after it starts, but try to be there on time to avoid missing the fun!
Do I need to be a whizz-kid, intellectual genius, or quizzing-extraordinaire?:
Nope, we do the quiz for fun.
Any Questions:
Write them into a comment and we will answer them - we are kind of into that.
We also have a WhatsApp group chat. Ask around on the day in person to be added.
