For folks to discuss about Livonia, MI.
First settled by pioneers from New England and New York, an act by the Legislature of the Territory of Michigan established the borders of Livonia Township on March 17, 1835. The settlers brought with them the name "Livonia", a name that had already been given to Livonia, New York, Livonia, Pennsylvania and a region of the Baltic Sea named Livonia in present day Estonia and Latvia, from which many early settlers came.

I moved out out the Detroit area about 6 years ago and happened to be passing Tonys on my way to Warren and noticed they are temporarly closed. The owner was decent enough but kinda strange. And what was the deal with half a pizza place and the other half chinese food?
What genius decided on forcing everyone in Livonia to store two huge garbage cans (31 inches at their narrowest)?
Seriously what were they thinking?
Moved here recently and would love to meet some people around my age 20-30. I'm not very social or outgoing so no idea where to even start, plus broke! Any suggestions would be great!
Ok, Is it just me or does anyone else notice the schoolcraft college sign off the side of 275 south, right before 7 mile exit gets hit constantly? I swear that thing doesn’t make it more than 2 weeks after being fixed before it gets hit again
I lived up in the burton/grand blanc area for many years and with Amazon prime, I had no issues with delivery days or times. It was always on time. Since I moved to Livonia about 2 moths ago, not a single order has arrived on time. Always 2-3 days late. Even with prime? Is this just an issue everyone here has?
Hey. I’m a 16 year old boy looking to meet new people my age.

My name is Adam Hobbs and I am a graduate student at the University of California, Riverside conducting research for my dissertation about how individuals experience housing markets and develop political attitudes. My research involves in-depth interviews of both homeowners and non-homeowners living in different housing markets across the United States. I am currently recruiting individuals to interview as a part of this project. Interviews would take approximately 45-60 minutes and would be conducted via Zoom. All responses will be kept confidential, even in the event this research is accepted for publication.
As mentioned, this project seeks to understand how people experience housing markets and develop political attitudes. My research starts from the assumption that experiences of housing markets vary from city to city. As such, I am trying to talk to people from all over the US. If you choose to participate, you will be asked questions about your past, present, and future living situation (e.g., are you homeowner/renter/other?), about navigating housing markets, about the broader community in which you live, and about your personal political opinions. By answering these questions, you will help us better understand the importance of housing markets to individuals’ daily lives and how experiences of housing markets might translate into political preferences.
This is an unfunded dissertation project. As such, there is no financial compensation for your participation. However, your participation will provide invaluable knowledge that will further public understanding. If you are willing to participate, please respond to this invitation letter via the direct messaging feature or via the email address provided below. If you would like more information before making your decision, please let me know.
Thank you,

Alright Livonians, please let me know if we got the cool I Voted stickers in our city! Each city clerk had to order them and I'm hoping ours did. I especially want the werewolf one. I usually vote in person on election day but if they're available with early voting, I might take care of it this week.
Hello!
Does anyone know of any public parks/trails that have black walnut trees? I'm looking to make my own ink with them.
He been there for like 6 months maybe more just wondering if anyone is gonna call on him cause he's sleeping at the bus stop like it's he's home
Let's be friends in Pokémon GO! My Trainer Code is 847714638711!
My girls and I are in town and looking for trouble to get in. We're in our late 30s, looking for good drinks and a chill crowd.
I’m moving back to MI and to Livonia specifically in a few weeks. I have a couple questions —
I’m looking for someone to cut my hair in androgynous style, just need someone near Livonia.
What is the LGBTQ community like in and around Livonia? I am a senior citizen non-binary lesbian (don’t criticize my self definition) I’m just hoping to find some community closer than Ann Arbor or Ferndale/Royal Oak.
Thanks
Anyone have a recommendation for a civil engineer? I have a leaky basement. Hope someone can take a walk around the outside of the house and make some suggestions on wether or not i need an exterior french drain.
Also open to suggestins for happy exterior french drain customers. Please any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
I have Spectrum and it's been running like garbage all day.
I’m getting a little desperate. I need to find a space that is at least 1000 sq ft. and indoors to hold an all day event, preferable in the Livonia/Plymouth area, for $500 or less. Most traditional event spaces aren’t within our budget, especially because the event has to occur on a Saturday. I thought I had a hotel conference room lined up, but it’s been like pulling teeth to communicate with them, and I’m starting to get concerned by the lack of professionalism. Libraries are out because it’s a private event, and all the park lodges won’t work because they shut down at 5pm in the winter. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Livonia/Plymouth is ideal, but I can be flexible. Thank you in advance!
hi, I will be moving to livonia soon and I need to find an apartment.

Hello! I am temporarily relocating to Livonia to work for the Michigan Democrats, I need a place September 15- mid November. I'm looking for a furnished room to rent, hopefully around $500/month. I am a 38 year old woman, very responsible and friendly:) I'll be working weekends and long hours so you'll hardly see me! If anyone has any connections lmk! Thank you!
We just moved to Livonia and we want to renovate the basement and put a bathroom down there. We had a plumber come by to quote and he said that our house is at significant risk of sewage backflow if we get a heavy rain. We've had heavy rain this summer but it was before our move in date. We haven't seen any signs of flooding in the basement. Was he just blowing smoke and trying to get us to spend?
Hey! Looking for mechanic recommendations in Livonia or close by. I have a Kia soul 2018 that is giving me some weird noise when turning right. Thanks again for the help!
Hey Livonia Reddit. I noticed that there isn’t a solid way to find rooms for rent or to advertise rooms for rent in Detroit.
I’ve created a subreddit called r/Detroitroommates to help connect people in Detroit with rooms for rent and roommates.
My last roommate and I actually met on the Detroit Reddit and lived together for a year. Best roommate I’ve had! I hope others can find the same success through this new Reddit.
Please share/post on there if you can!
I was recently in an accident where I was charged with failure to stop within assured distance (rear ending), and I was wondering whether or not it was worth it to get a lawyer for the infraction. I have a completely clean record and I’m still considered a new driver so is it worth it to pay the 200 dollar flat fee on top of the ticket price for defense or should I just go to court alone? I’m hoping for a point deduction if possible but I’m not sure how the courts work in Livonia.
20- Livonia. Seeking a cuddle buddy around my age for cozy nights in
I've been feeling quite lonely since moving to my new place. I don't have any friends around here yet, and adjusting to everything has been a bit challenging. I recently relocated to the Michigan, and everything still feels so new and unfamiliar. I enjoy hanging out, especially with relaxed, cozy nights and cuddles. I love spending time with interesting people and would love to find someone who shares these interests. Whether it's exploring the city, having deep conversations, or just hanging out, I'm looking forward to meeting new people.

The spree is coming up! Are suggestions on the best place to see the fireworks? I see people camping out on farmington road all day to see them.
