/r/livetronica is dedicated to electronic music performed using live instrumentation and/or analog synthesizers in a traditional band setting. This includes artists like Pendulum, The Disco Biscuits, Sound Tribe Sector 9, Big Gigantic, Conspirator, etc. Playing electronic music live adds an entirely new dimension to the music, and this is the best place on Reddit to share that.
Not exactly a rule but here's the preferred submission structure:
Artist Name - Song Name (Origin, Genre, Year) and maybe some extra text afterwards if it warrants additional information.
Please use the sidebar to search the song you are thinking about submitting to be sure it has not been previously submitted. Reposts will be removed. Thanks for reading the sidebar, and enjoy.

Hi there, If you’re into Bonobo, Parra for Cuva or Ben Böhmer, this could be something for you. I recently released an electronic LIVE SET on YouTube, filmed in front of a beautiful lake in Germany called Bergheider See. It would truly mean a lot if you would give it a try and give me Feedback. Thank you ☺️🫶
A little beat i put together using hardware and ableton. More on my YouTube channel
Hi there,
I'm currently playing around a lot with my live portable electro setup which consists of a Roland MC-707 + Launchpad Pro + a powerbank + a portable speaker (~5cm x 5cm x 20cm)
This setup is small enough that I can throw everything in a bag pack and go play at parties.
However I'm hitting the limits of the speaker I'm carrying around : the Tribit StormBox
Requirements :
Do you guys have any recommendation ?
Hi there,
I'm looking for the gear to go DAW-less while keeping a similar workflow than I have spent the last months designing. In essence :
This workflow can then be repeated indefinitely to perform hours long sets.
3. is the tricky part though. Seems to me multiple stereo outputs and routing capabilities will be required to make it work.
I'd like to have a single machine capable of that whole wrofklow.
Any idea ?

Hi everyone!
I hope this kind of post is allowed here. I'm doing a little project where I go to different subreddits of music genres and I ask the members what the best album of that genre is. After this, I listen to the album that got the most upvotes after 24 hours and write my thoughts about it (I will write this as a comment under this one, so if you want to read it, make sure to check back in 2-3 days. This won't be a professional review btw. I don't know anything about music theory so it's just gonna be the thoughts of a random guy). The list I'm following is Wikipedia's list of the most popular music genres in a randomized order. I'm planning to listen to one album per day and this time the genre is Livetronica. So please recommend me an album in the comments. It could be the best one in your opinion, your personal favourite, or the album that best represents this genre according to you, but please, only submit one album. If you submit more than one in your comment, it won't count (If you really want to submit more, do it in separate comments). LPs are preferred, but EPs and mixtapes are also acceptable, even compilations and live albums if they're not too long. I know absolutely nothing about this genre so I'm going in blind.
This is the 108th day of me doing this. If you want to see what the previous days were, check out my post history.
Thanks to anyone who recommends an album.
TL;DR: I listen to a new genre every day, so recommend me one album and I'll listen to the most upvoted one and write my thoughts about it later.
Hi there,
I'm into electronic music performance and I am looking for ideas of gear to complete my live DAW setup. I play mainly techno but I do bit of everything. My ideal of live performance is Giolì & Assia.
My criteria are :
Current setup:
What I'm trying to do is a hybrid setup that would make it possible for me to play "anything" on the spot, whether it's a live techno impro, a lo-fi track or a cover of an existing song like Giolì & Assia incorporate inside of their sets. Everything should be improvised, nothing prerecorded, no backtrack, the only exception being for the loaded samples but i'm going for "generic" ones usable in all contexts.
I think of it like a framework. It has a lot do to with the Ableton "template" i'm setting up but also with finding the right hardware controlers-and-other-things.
I'm open to any idea. Here are some of my thoughts :
Looking forward to read you
