TL;DR:
Question: "Do you love at least one of these: anime, manga, Japanese visual novels, Vocaloid or VTubers?"
(Sorry that I forgot to add Japanese visual novels, Vocaloid into the title of the post. Please don't be mad at my ignorance. I'm not quite familiar with them.)
Answer is very simple. Yes or no.
Purpose of the poll: to estimate percentage of lovers of the cute Japanese comic/animated culture in Linux community.
Why this poll: just for the sake of curiosity :-))
Result: will be posted right here, on this line. Voting is open for 7 days to sample as many votes as possible.
--------
Hi, fellow Linux aficionados. I've seen many Linux-based users and developers with Japanese comic/animated culture avatars or vid/gif thumbnails (featuring characters from anime, manga, Japanese visual novels, Vocaloid or VTubers) in github, YouTube, distros threads, etc. The deeper I dig into the "hardcore" distros and advanced softwares/science tools/packages, the more lovers of this culture group I see. (No tiny bit of disrespect, though, since they are too smart and well-educated people to be called weebs.)
So, out of curiosity, I will attempt to estimate the percentage of this group in the Linux community. The question is: "Do you love at least one of these: anime, manga, Japanese visual novels, Vocaloid or VTubers?"
The percentage is calculated as the number of "Yes" voters divided by the total number of voters.
I pick this subreddit for 2 reasons. One, Linux sub and most of its distros subs don't allow polling. Two, this is a meme subreddit. Since, meme community is an umbrella group of many pop cultures (including Japanese comic/animated culture), it attracts people from various walks of life. So it could cover the whole population.
Now, lovers of this cute Japanese culture, show us the strength of your sub-community in Linux!
Please don't be Walter White. Also use sudo with caution.
