This is the official community of LingoDeer on reddit, a great language app for learning Japanese, Korean, Chinese and more languages from scratch!

How am I supposed to learn Korean if THE SECOND LESSON is vip only.
When I use it on PC I have to pay, but on mobile I can do it for free.
I finally finished Lingodeer Japanese 1
I've only been using lingodeer for about 3 days and have only done the first section, and so far it seems every sentence they have me practice is strictly in a very formal tone such as "저것은 미국의 사과입니다" (that is an American apple over there) and from my understanding 입니다 is the most formal way of saying "is/am"? Not sure i haven't been learning very long, though it does talk about less formal versions of the words in the learning tips, will it teach me the ways to say these things less formally, or is the whole course in that formal tone?
The timer continuously resets.
Its very misleading and disingenuous with that false advertising to create a false sense of urgency.
They don't even need to have this function if they just added an end date for the promotion.
It seems there haven't been any updates recently and certain languages haven't changed in a long time.
do they teach that in the app
Now lingodeer billed 80$ which is way too much.
I already emailed them but I don't think that they will answer within a week.
Anybody else that have been in same situation, did you got a refund.
I don't mind whether the answer is in A1-C1 or in HSK, I'd just like an idea of the level the app will bring me to if I purchase it before committing.
I saw a few posts on this but they were all 6+ years old, and I assume there have been changes since (?)
Any guidance on this is appreciated :)
Why you choose lingodeer? I am interested in Greek, Spanish and Russian? Do you you think they will add more material in Greek? How effective is the Review? How do you compare Lingodeer with Babbel?
Is good for Russian?
It would be so much more useful if I could type in the answers for all the questions instead of having to choose from the word bank, I feel like I am actually practicing real skills when doing this because when I type in real life, I'm not going to be typing from a word bank
It costs €129.99 now on Black Friday 2024. Do you think the back to school offer will be cheaper than that?
Does the LingoDeer subscription include LingoDeer Plus as well?
So I’ve been able to use the LingoDeer app to it’s full extent without paying any money for a very long time. Is this a glitch? When I go on the website it doesn’t let me access more lessons but the app lets me go on forever. Am I just super lucky? My friend has the app and it forced him to stop after a few Russian lessons. (I am doing Spanish 2)

Still fairly new to this app, does vocab/grammar from previous lessons ever come up again? Besides the testing out?
Is there a quick way to import to anki?
Hello, everyone! We’re excited to share that our team has just updated the community icon and banner to give our subreddit a fresh new look. Do you like them?
We’d love to hear what you think—feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below!
Thank you for being part of the LingoDeer community!
Just a quick shoutout to LingoDeer because their support team actually listens to feedback, unlike other language learning apps where an actual support person may never even reply to your question (like duolingo)
As for me, personally, I’d like to learn the Nordic languages (Norwegian, Finnish, etc) and the regional languages of Spain (Catalan, Galician & Basque). Please Lingodeer, add them next! 🥺
What about you?
I have discovered the app recently and I really like it. I really want to know what will come next. I am not that much interested in new language but I really would like to see some languages to be updated. Many languages like malay, thaï, arabic, polish etc. don't have a B1 level course. Do you know if lingodeer team will add these ? I also think it would be a good idea to add a "fluent" course to more languages. Why not add a B2 course ? It will be great !
Also, I have some questions about lingodeer Plus : will there be new languages ? I read Somewhere that the app didn't have updates since a pretty long time, is that true ? I think Plus is a good idea but it needs more languages and maybe more content in each language.
I always confuse ㅇ and ㄴ! Like this 병원, always confuses me. Any tips to help me master them?
Is lingodeer effective in learning the following languages? Is the lingodeer organized into courses suitable for learning the following languages? Hindi,Thai,Indonesian
Thai is the language that I really want to learn And Indonesian and hindi is 2nd.
Hey, I'm curious--what's the first word (besides "hello" and "goodbye") you learned on Lingodeer? I'm learning Japanese, and the first word that really stuck with me is ocha because I'm a huge fan of it! What about you guys? I'd love to hear about your experiences!
I'm just curious about this;) In my case, I used to learn Indonesian for my summer trip.
It’s great that they added Greek and Ukrainian, as well as Thai and Hindi. But does anyone know what the next languages will be? I’d love to know.
(I don’t think this is a fault of the app, I just thought it was funny)
Hellooo
I'm in the beginning phase of starting a research study and wanted to reach out to see if anyone would be willing to participate. The study would investigate the relationship between working memory capacity and success in app-based language learning. I would need 40 participants so I'm hoping it would be possible to find some people who are interested on here. Please comment if interested <3
I have used Lingodeer for several years, and all that time I was hoping they would add a course in Indonesian, one of my favorite languages. And now it's here!
