Can I install LibreCMC on x86? Any plans on releasing a generic build for x86 like OpenWrt do? There are many nice options for building a custom router on x86 hardware that does not require blobs. For example a libreboot/coreboot laptop or any of the many boards supported by coreboot, combined with networking gear that has FOSS drivers.
Hello everyone, i want to update my TP-Link TL-WR741ND to librecmc. U can see it in supported Hardware list. But when i hit the link to download i see https://librecmc.org/404.html
Anyone knows they dropped the support for this router? Both emails of devs is dead too, no response.
I was trying to build it by myself using the Build Documentation but i dont know how to fix this errors (images link)
I bought a Linksys WRT1900AC v1 specifically for using it with LibreCMC. Currently I am using it with OpenWrt, but I want to switch to LibreCMC. Unfortunately I am unable to find any kind of information on a compatible Wi-Fi card with a free firmware that works with this device. I have scoured the Internet to no avail. Can anybody point me in the right direction?
I just read OpenWRT has "proprietary bits" and only need basic, secure home routing. Is Libre the best "free" option?
The latest version of LibreCMC doesn't have this FSF approved router: https://www.fsf.org/blogs/sysadmin/librewrt-what-we-use-for-wifi-at-the-fsf
This is really sad. Support should be added back! It seems LibreCMC followed upstream by purging it: https://git.openwrt.org/?p=openwrt/openwrt.git;a=commitdiff;h=4e4ee4649553ab536225060a27fc320bf54e458c
Discussion: What changes did LibreCMC make after forking OpenWRT?
Specifically for developers trying to port OpenWRT-based applications to LibreCMC

The FAQ states:
**What is libreCMC based upon?**libreCMC GNU/linux-libre is a fork of the popular LEDE Project, but we use a linux-libre kernel and strip out some non-free components that are otherwise included in LEDE.

Besides changing to Linux-Libre, what other changes were made, if any?
Does anyone know if there's a way to resize partitions on LibreCMC? Currently I have relatively large `/tmp` with more that 10 Mb of free space, while `/overlay` has only few kilobytes.
What I want to achieve is to use custom host file which is about 1 Mb. Can't replace the original `/etc/hots` because there's not enough space. I can store in the `/tmp`, but that's inconvenient since it's wipe on reboots.
Or maybe you can think of a better solution?
I can't find Any LibreCMC Compatible Router in my country. Turris Omnia is Expensive and Can't import it in my country as Import Duty is too High. Same goes for ordering from Minifree.
Are there any DIY WiFi Router Projects which runs LibreCMC as Firmware.
Possibly on pi or other SBC?

edit: More (and well explained) information in a form of videos (and what not) will only encourage more people to free their routers. If they do a search and they see no results, they might as well think that the project is dead or something.

edit2: Would be great for the tutorial to show as well a way to flash the firmware through an external programmer.
