I know that you can record gameplay with the Windows + Alt + R keye, but my computer shows
"Sorry, this PC doesn't meet the hardware requirement for recording clips. For more info, go to Game Bar Settings."
And from there, there isn't much I can find. So if there's a free app that you can use for gameplay, I'd appresciate it. I wanna record the cutscenes in SWTOR so that I don't have to grind the gameplay and just watch my best playthrough for each class whenever.
YouTube was pushing one of my long form content out. I was getting a lot of interaction and then YouTube would just stop pushing it Even though it was performing good.
Hey i just wanted to ask for some advice, it's gonna be a while but i have some gameboy advance games and i got visual boy advance emulator for it but the screen for it it's extremely tiny and when i capture it on my obs it's noticeably stretched out so i wanted some advice on how to fix that, if i should just change the aspect ratio for my recording to make it look bigger or if there are any alternatives.
Hey, everybody. I recently got a new camera to record gaming videos with face cam, however I’m having trouble on whether I should record my facecam and gameplay together on OBS using a capture card connected to my ps5.I heard that using a capture card causes delay on your ps5 which I don’t really want. Should I just record my face cam and audio on OBS and record my gameplay on my ps5 separately. Any tips/ advice would be greatly appreciated.
Roblox... The bane of my existence. It looks like Roboblox channels blow tf up, or just any video of Roblox. I do not understand it, but I am willing to at least give it a try. Would a game like that be helpful to bring in views? I do understand if I don't pick it as a niche, the chances are slim people will subscribe and stick around, but I figured that Roblox watchers have overlap with variety channels if they like the person enough.
Any other games that could help a channel likely be seen?
I'm not trying to sell out; I do like to try new games, even just once, and idk maybe I will like them and play more than once. I'm also not planning on exclusively playing games that might give me a better shot at being found, I just want to mix them in here and there.
The answer is probably no there's no game but eh, thought I would ask. I am getting better at editing and have taken a long break to reflect on how I want to go about it, and my personality is probs hit or miss, but I see no harm in giving a different game a try and seeing if it hits or misses.
So to summarize my odd title I am doing a lets play channel with me and two of my friends, we all love the idea and with me even if it only gets 5 views I see a success, our group stuff is great but I would like to do things solo but my personality creates a lot of barriers to achieve that. I stumble over my words a lot and am generally a more reserved person so creating a semi entertaining voice to playing a game is challenging but it's a hobby I keep gravitating toward no matter how "bad" I consider myself to be. Any advice to get over these personal gaps?
Title.
Right now I've got For You, Recent Videos and Playlists for my favorite series. Am I missing something? Should I have my recent shorts on their too? Is this too much? Should I cut something?
Hi everyone! Wanted to ask, have anyone tried to use Midjourney or another AI for the creation of thumbnails? Was it a successful experience in terms of quality and CTR? Curious because I see that some people do it, and for gaming it may be a good use in theory

Hi everyone !
I've been recording let's plays for a long time. Took me at first quite some effort to figure out the right settings but everything has been fine since. However I renewed my stuff to some higher quality equipment, yet I can't figure out how to get the same (or better) image quality for my recordings.
Software : OBS
Previous setup (the one that is looking fine) :
14' HP laptop (8go ram, i5 1235U, GPU intel Iris Xe)
Capture card : Avermedia Live gamer Ultra GC553
Use : I've been recording gameplay from my ps4, ps5, switch, xbox, and my other computer. Stream on twitch, recording at the same time.
OBS settings for recording : 1920*1080p, 60fps, mp4, Quicksynch H.264 (CBR 35000 kbps, TU4, profil high, normal latency and 3 B images)
It's not perfect but it's quite good, and enough for a small youtuber like me.
But I was looking for something better.
I got myself a new computer and a new capture card, and I wanted to use them as a replacement for my previous setup.
New setup :
desktop gaming computer (ryzen 5 5500, 32go RAM, RTX 4060)
Capture card : the last Avermedia (Live Gamer Ultra HDMI 2.1 GC553-G2)
Use : same as before, I'm willing to record console gameplay and also computer gameplay (I was planning to create a loop with a second screen)
But somehow I can't figure out how to set up OBS to get the right quality.
I've tried plenty of things, the quality is still below what I had before. I tried it recording Trackmania on ps5, and it's always blurry. I also noticed that even tho I'm recording in 60fps, I think it's actually 50 (on Premiere Pro, the 5 and 6th frames are exactly the same).
I've been recording without using my computer for any other software so it should be fully available.
An example of the settings I tried :
Nvidia NVENC H.264
40.000 kbps / Max 60.000 kpbs (I've tried everything from 25K to 75K), p5 preset, high quality setting, multipass : quarter resolution), profil high, 3 B frames.
I've tried 2 B frames, p4 preset, multipass 2 full resolution, and many variations. I tried it also with VBR, and I tried loseless. TBH I tried like 30 settings and couldn't get anything as good as before.
The quality is not good. I lack a few frames, but mostly it's slightly blurry and every piece of text on screen is highly pixelated, when it was crisp before.
Any idea about what is going on ?
Thanks for reading me everyone.
What's up y'all! I recently pivoted my YouTube channel to be (mainly) League of Legends content, done in the style of TheRussianBadger (animated A-roll, Gameplay funny moments B-roll) because League doesn't have a lot of High-Quality content in the niche and the format helps with retention and therefore growth. My only problem is, none of the dudes from my content group actually play League nor are they willing to currently. So that leaves me on my own and I need some funny people to make these videos with. Already managed to make one with a couple people and it proved that these will pop off with the right group.
If you're interested, DM me a link to your channel for reference!

I want to be able to start uploading on my youtube channel. I want to do mostly gaming but all i have is a phone and my playstation. I already stream on twitch but its twitch so it barely works. Is there anything free i can get, some tips on how to do it, or just any ideas for content that works with my phone and playstation. Thank you in advance!
So all! So, lately, I've been laying out plans for future series I'm going to work on. I have nearly a dozen folders on my computer, each dedicated to a future series. The problem is though that some of them are for games that have been through the remake rumor mill on a surprisingly frequent basis lately that it's all but guaranteed they're going to get one.
What would the plan be in these instances? Just bite the bullet and make the videos, knowing that a remake could be announced either during the series or shortly after it's finished, or delay it to cover the most up-to-date version of the game? My particularly style of let's play is supposed to be a deeply informative one that shows off every aspect of a game, if that helps.
Hello everyone, I’m new here. I’ve been doing YouTube for over 4 years and have always played games that my community and I personally enjoy. It started with me just playing what I love to zero viewers, which transitioned into playing games that both my community and I enjoy. Now I have a smaller community that I live-stream with and play games. I’ll edit up the streams for gameplays if it’s a story game or a challenge or first time play through and sometimes I’ll make videos offline. The main goal is to involve “chat” and have fun no matter what game is played, but recently I’ve been sort of losing hope in finding a tribe of people who support a positive community and an open minded variety creator. Random, but I like hearing good news from awesome folks in my community and hearing about them level up in life. I’m open to anyone’s thoughts and suggestions. Do you guys think I’m wasting time? Should I retire the YouTube?
Thanks for reading this too.
Currently my options are Fifine AM8 and Maono PD200X. Honestly i'm not sure about pantograph but IMO it would be nice. Which one should i choose between AM8 and Maono for streaming/video recording etc.?
Sorry for grammar eng isn't my native lang
I’m 23 F. I like horror games and stupid games. But I’ll try literally any game once (excluding price) I’m inept at most tech stuff. But I would love to have more gaming friends! Boy girl both neither. Gay straight or anywhere in between. Dem. Rep. Idc. Message me or comment if your interested! I wanna make videos with more friends!
I searched a bit but I haven't yet found a free program that has auto captions for voices and turns them into subtitles. I would like recommendations, if there is a good option!
Hey guys. I just found out that when you receive 3 Strikes your channel is not only deleted, but you are also not allowed to have another channel for your entire life. It doesn't matter if you change your name or gmail, if someone finds out that you are the same person from the channel that was deleted by strikes, they will also delete your new channels.
My question is, is there a way to circumvent this rule and be able to create another channel?
For example, what happens if the one who creates the new channel is my brother, and I only put the voice in the videos? Would that still qualify as my channel and not my brother's?
Or, for example, what happens if I create a company (for example, a video game site) and I want to create a channel for that site. Youtube would still think it's my channel and delete it, or would it count as another new channel?
I’m curious what capture card works best with each console and if there is anything that could do it all. Thank you!

I'm coming to the end of my current long term project on my streams and am interested in adding some collabs into my rotations before my next long term streaming project.
I am looking for fellow VTubers who would be interested in making appearances on my streams/would want me to appear on theirs. I currently broadcast 2pm GMT Wednesday and Friday, and 5pm GMT Sunday. Ideally I want someone who can work within these times, but I am open to be flexible. Also note that these hours (particularly the weekday hours) are subject to change in the future as I'm trying to find a new job, and this may mean a shift in my active hours. Know that my live streams tend to go for a minimum of 3 hours (with a short break part way through), so you should be comfortable with this length of time
Ideally I want a creator who also streams regularly (once a week minimum is ideal), and has been actively VTubing for at least 3 months. I stream to YouTube and have somewhere in the region of 925 subscribers at time of writing. I do not have any preference on if you primarily create content for YouTube or Twitch.
Games I am happy to play:
Switch
PC
If you think you'd be interested, please let me know the best way to contact you. I have message requests on Reddit switched off (due to unwanted solicitation and angry DMs from people who've been banned). I am happy to contact you via Discord, Instagram, or Reddit chat.
am wondering what current games are good to lets play for my first go
I was recently wanting to start going really into YouTube and play a lot of older games on the 360 and PS2 but also would like something that could be used for a Series X. Knowing nothing about capture cards is there one I could buy for this use?
It's that time of the week again! This is your chance to request feedback on your most recent videos, thumbnails, channel art, works in progress, etc.

If I LP New Vegas will I get a strike for the songs that play on the radio?
Hi guys! I just want to write a post on this to share my experience on what I did to fight off a copyright claim for in-game music. I did see a couple of posts here and on other sites and some videos on YouTube on the issue, but for me personally, the information was either outdated (from over four years ago) or not clear enough.
Before I go into the details, let me first say I do not encourage using copyrighted music without permission, but when the use is justified (in my case, it was fair use for gameplay), I believe one is entitled to use the music in their videos.
I was doing a let’s play of Back to the Future: The Game. In one of the earlier episodes, I received a copyright claim from AdRev for a tone that lasted eight seconds. There was no dialogue over it, so I opted for muting that section of the game’s audio in editing and the video was no longer flagged for the copyright claim.
I haven’t had any problems since then until I got to the very last part of the game. My last video of the let’s play series received another copyright claim from AdRev for a 3-minute section of the video that featured the copyrighted music in the background. There was in-game dialogue over the music. At times, I was talking over the music and/or the dialogue. I was honestly baffled as to how they managed to identify the piece of music over all these, but I digress.
This time, because there was dialogue playing in the game, I could not mute the game audio (it was the ending too!). There were a couple of options offered by YouTube:
i) trim out the segment;
ii) replace the song;
iii) mute the song; AND
iv) dispute the copyright claim.
Trimming out the segment was not an option because, again, there was dialogue playing. I did try out the “mute song” option (mute song only, specifically), but it seemed to take forever (I stopped waiting around the one-hour mark) and from what I saw in other videos, YouTube does not always do a good job with that.
The only option left for me was disputing the claim. There were several reasons I could choose from for disputing the claim:
i) original content;
ii) license;
iii) copyright exception such as fair use; AND
iv) public domain.
The one that made the most sense to me was “copyright exception such as fair use” because I had “significantly transformed the content claimed in my video”.
After selecting that option, I was taken to the next page where I was asked to specify the type of fair use and why my use was an example of fair use. For the type of fair use, there was one specifically for gameplay. For the reasons, I basically responded to prompt questions that YouTube had and said:
i) my content was gameplay with commentary;
ii) I had transformed the original content; AND
iii) my video was in no way a substitute for the original content.
Then I submitted the dispute. YouTube said the claimant had 30 days to review the dispute. Forever the impatient one, I looked up what I could do in the meantime. I stumbled across a page on TunePocket on how to remove YouTube copyright claims (https://www.tunepocket.com/resolve-youtube-copyright-claims/?srsltid=AfmBOop6fuVTdVvnqnn49A8JR9A6ycm65F38QSXRb_n_5MbUaHZW2mkq).
While the content on the webpage is not tailored for gamers, it does say one can email AdRev (now part of FUGA) at cid@adrev.net to resolve a YouTube copyright claim.
I then emailed AdRev at the aforementioned email address, giving them a link to my video, explaining my situation and asking them VERY POLITELY what their justifications were for claiming the piece of music in my video. I got a reply from a FUGA representative later that day. The rep told me to email them again once I had changed the video privacy settings to public or unlisted for them to review the video (at the time, it was on private because the video was scheduled to be published later) and said fair use for gameplay would apply if the copyrighted music was not the subject of my commentary, that is, I was not reviewing or commenting on the music itself.
After my video had been published a few hours after that, I emailed the FUGA representative again, telling them the video had been made public and assuring them I was not talking about the piece of music in any way. I got a reply from the rep in less than six hours and was told that, lo and behold, they had released my claim!
So, this is my experience of how I fought off the copyright claim for in-game music for my let's play series. Sorry for the long post, but I just want to be as detailed as possible. Hope this helps, fellow letsplayers!
They're trying to copyright claim "Hostage Situation" from the soundtrack of "Spider Man" from 2000. I am not posting the song on its own, its part of the gameplay and I will not be bullied like this. I have already started a dispute and even given concrete evidence that they do not even own the song, nor is the composer they're claiming on behalf of even the OG composer, Tommy Tallarico. I'm scared the dispute will not go in my favour despite providing evidence and that I may lose my channel and all the time and effort I put into it.
Apologies if this has already been posted. Maybe I'm being a bit dense here but trying to figure out how audio capture works with capture cards. I'm not the most technically minded.
I currently stream directly from my Xbox series X to twitch but looking to get a pc set up and a capture card. Watched a bunch of videos on it but I'm not sure how capturing mic audio works? I have a wireless headset atm which doesn't have an audio jack (connects to my Xbox via a Bluetooth dongle).
So can anyone explain to me how it works, would I need a second steaming / podcast type mic or could I capture the audio from my headset?
