How to beat this week (last october) weekly 5.5 star nightmare challenge?
I've been trying to clear lissandra adventure with ekko for the PnZ region for the past 2 days and it seems impossible even tho I've seen others doing it. My current ekko is 4 stars and the build is oath and 2x stargems. I'm having trouble specifically on the Liss fight which I just get bulldozed by either overwhelm units or buried in ice. Any advice on this?
Hello community. I just opened the weekly vault and in total I got like 20 plus blue wild cards 5 pink ones and one champion wildcard amongst shard and I don't remember how many green wild cards. Since last time I had the impression something was missing I really did pay attention this time. I'm pretty sure this is what I opened. I played a lot to get there... Then , when I go to edit deck and see what I REALLY have... Only one champion one pink few blues... What?? Where did the other stuff go? Is this common? Is it even possible to fix it?? I feel scammed... And it's not a nice feeling.
As you probably know modern path is ridiculous. The new content after Lissandra is extremely fast paced, the enemy summons ~20 worth of stats every turn even on the first fight, if you don't do anything you die on the second attack token even with 40hp.
Of course this is necessary because the player is even stronger. Pretty much all decks can manage it with some constellation nodes and epic relics and if you have the 6th star no content is even challenging. There are even speedrunners that beat everything in less than 90 seconds.
The gameloop in the early adventures is way different of that of the modern ones. Now you have to play the unfair thing faster then the Ai or you lose. Cards that cost 5+ are close to unplayable, cheap units are nothing more than chump blockers, if you don't draw you champion in opening hand your deck is 3 times weaker (or even useless in some cases), items that draw cards are awful because your hand is constantly full and there are only like 3 good plays you can make.
For now it's still pretty playable (even though I miss slower paced challenging adventures) but the power creep is about to get even worse. Every time they print new epic relic or add new constellation the game became easier and if they are to add new final boss, it have to be ridiculously fast paced to match this power level. How long until we see adventure where manaflow Asol is the first battle.
So how do you see the future of the game? Is the power creep this big of a problem really? Will the game still be fun in an year if they don't do something like a hard reset or nerf to everything?
Unable to open any of my prismatics rewards this week! I can click it but it won't open!
I want to build an aatrox deck because hes my favourite champ in league but I don’t know if he is viable to use in lor
After an unfortunate loss against Fiddlesticks with my own fiddlesticks, where the AI and I milled each other like four times at the same time to tie the game, then ending in a loss by one card. I decided to do a Lillia Run, and saw my opportunity to whittle away at him.
I basically have only rare /common relics. None of the good epic ones. What's my best Elise build?
love how the sound echoes cause 4x.
The old fastest time was around 7 hours i think? With the new 4x speed what do you think will be the new fastest time?
So on the advent of the arcane update, I wanted to pontificate on the direction the game is going. I, like many other people, got into this game because it was the best way to interact with the lore of runeterra. I was never into card games. I played like two games of yugioh when I was a child and I never really understood it. Runeterra designed itself in a way that was easier to understand for the average player and made itself feel more personal with cards using first person text (i’ve seen x, you’ve done y). That as well as its irresponsibly generous card acquisition system drew in so many players like myself that were so grateful for this new way to interact with runeterra outside of the moba. Although, as the moba is one of their main moneymakers, one could argue that Runeterra was basically a huge ad for League.
Now we’re here. Path is the new main game mode. We’re not getting any more expansions as we knew them. Champs aren’t being released with the same flavor. All we have to look forward to is new art and mechanics. The monetization has shifted immensely from cosmetics into resources for path. Ultra Rapid Draw is probably never coming back. It’s a different game.
We also just got the interview with snnuy in which eric shen dropped the bombshell bit of info that players who spend 200-1000$ make more money for the game than players who spend 20-200$. I thought about this for a while and came to the following conclusion.
It’s easier to get one person to spend 1000$ than it is to get 10 people to spend 100$.
Lots of mobile and gacha games end up catering to high-paying customers simply because it’s far easier to figure out how to design the game to be more appealing to that smaller, high revenue customer base than it is to even attempt to market to a wider audience. Everyone has decried the decision for new champs to not have voice lines or custom level animations, but the fact is that the people who spend the big money on the game either don’t care about those things or appreciate them from afar although their absence wouldn’t affect their purchase decision. The creation of multiple different purchasable currencies and runes means that a new champion release is an excuse for riot to create bundles that give those high paying players a reason to spend money on the game. That’s why they want to prioritize a higher rate of champ releases than the individual quality of their releases.
The game has essentially become another gacha game. You’re paying the price of another full priced game for essentially the equivalent of some jpegs and krustyland fun bucks.
I say this as someone who has in fact spent probably upwards of a thousand dollars on this game. I still play because the game itself is fun and I still want to believe in the potential of this game to allow me to adequately interact with the lore of runeterra in a meaningful way, but those hopes are fading fast. Now that the MMO has gone back in the oven for another god knows how long and will probably come out bad and league proper is following the same whale hunting patterns, it’s no wonder riot’s player retention is going down the toilet.
I’m highly doubtful that the arcane update will add anything that would significantly change my mind on how I feel about how they’ve been handling the game, but I'm still sticking around to find out.
This was mostly a brain dump, but how does the reddit community feel about this? I don’t think I've said anything too unreasonable.
All this time playing and is the first time I see it
How tf are people surviving until the Fiddle fight? I'm lucky if I can get to Elise, but have never got past here due to her insane flood of spiders on turn one.
Using SFG, CBTS and third relic has varied as I try to find a combo that works.
One more clear with a Runeterra champ and I'm 5/5 but just can't seem to crack it.
For someone just dipping their toes into poc, are the 20 dollar 4 star champion bundles worth it to get a foot in the door?
I feel like it trivializes this game since you always have a safety net at the cost of minor inconvenience.
I was really scared of the last challenge because I never thought I was going to complete it, so I used all of my best champs at the beginning and I had to use 4 star vayne which was awful in my opinion because everyone had formidable, but somehow I managed to beat it.
Thank you to everyone on the community, for being so helpful and maybe without even realizing, helped me accomplish this. Love u guys <3
I have tried to beat her about 7 times now, and it genuinely does not seem possible. I have scoured everywhere and haven't found any actual advice for it. Any tips anyone could give? (Except killing zoe instantly, barely works) Any help is appreciated.
