So it’s well established that Jimmy Page played on the title track of Al Stewart’s “Love Chronicles.” Al has stated Page was only on that track. (The backing band is much of Fairport Convention, which included Richard Thompson, for this record.)
So listening to “Life and Life Only” I think I’m hearing Jimmy, not Richard Thompson. I just can’t tell.
Anyone know for sure or have any insights? The main solo starts around 4:30.
I guess I'm confused when I see Led Zeppelin performing in 2024. Who all will be performing exactly?
Fun Fact: The most popular foreign bands in Japan (with a huge fandom) are the following - The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Oasis and Blur.
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
Your Time Is Gonna Come
Black Mountain Side
The Battle of Evermore
Going To California
When the Levee Breaks
The Rain Song
The Rover
Houses of the Holy (the song, not the album)
Bron-Yr-Aur
I really love the entire Led Zeppelin III album, but I think their best album is Physical Graffiti. I also enjoy Robert Plant's solo career; it's quite interesting.
What are your favourite LZ songs?
I’ll go first:
The Rain Song - 1973 Madison Square Garden
Immigrant Song - 1972 L.A. Forum
Kashmir - 2007 London O2 Arena
For context, I am a 20yo M who's loved Zeppelin for basically my whole life. Recently saw the biography by Bob Spitz at a local bookstore and kind of impulse-purchased it because of my love of the band.
I did some reading and apparently the book is fairly controversial, and its debated if the book is biased or even accurate at parts.
Was wondering if any who have read the book can give their take on it. Should I still give it a read or is it not worth my time?
Thanks!
Does anyone know where to find midis for stairway or since I've been loving you from the song remains the same/msg that includes the keyboards?
I've looked through alot and they always have a mix of the guitar and vocals as the keyboard notes. I'm having to slowly figure it out note by note but don't have alot of free time.
Are these Official? 🤔
Like the title says, watching the song remains the same for the first time in a while on YouTube TV and dazed and confused is just…wow. Jimmy’s spontaneous train of consciousness playing and the rhythm section of Bonham and Jones are just wow. Edit: BTW, the clarity of the video and audio is absolutely amazing. It’s even better than I remembered from the midnight movie period lol
My Dad took a bunch of LZs album art, added some of his own ideas and found a way to combine it all into one painting. He's been offered hundreds of dollars for this before but has refused. He told me one day he'll pass it down to me. Sorry about the emojis, I tried to post this another time and it got flagged as NSFW and immediately removed. I also figured I could use the emojis sort of like a watermark
Sorry if this has been asked alot but I live in Ireland and I am wondering what is a really good led zeppelin cover band that I could possibly see live in Ireland, either a irish or international cover band thanks

This video's clip of John Paul Jones playing keyboard is driving me insane because I cannot figure out what song it is.
What cover song(s) do you think deserve a mention? I'll go first. Encomium is a good album, but I heard a cover of BIGLY that I will never forget by Brandi Carlisle.
Hey all, in 1972 my mom was about 14 and staying at hotel and went down for breakfast 3/4 of them were having breakfast and got all of their signatures on a napkin. Is that worth something?
What do you guy's think of Tool's version?
I have plenty! When I was a young 20 old year student in the late 2010/s. Stairway to Heaven was my all time favorite. It wasn’t until I was in jail and an Asian celly who had access to a radio and would play a classic rock station every night, had his radio playing. It was night time this particular night and I knew I was only a couple days away from being released.
Anyway, on his radio, I hear this song and listening to it as I was drifting off to sleep, really stuck with me. Idk why. Everyone hearing this got quiet and it was such a quiet but peaceful moment (yes, We were all in our bunks.)The song was Over The Hills and Far Away
