I'm a single male moving to Lawton, OK. I see people saying far east and far west of the town are the only safe places in Lawton. I know where far east is since lots of LTs live there. But how far is far west? Is anywhere near NW 82nd street & NW Rogers lane safe? And how does it compare to the area beyond NE Flower Mound Rd (far east) in terms of safety? And I've gathered inforamtion/reputation about the apartments in far east, but has anyone heard anything good from Copperstone Point, Oak Hill Apartments, or Crossland Square? I see many reviews about Oak Hill, but not the other two.

I'll be in town only for five months, so I don't really care about nightlife or anything of that nature. I just want to make sure I won't be mugged on my way to work.

Hi there, I dont know if anyone in this area shares my interest, I'm a 24 y/o guy who moved back here from Las Vegas and I've been really bored here since and looking to seek some community and do something fun. Vegas had an AcroYoga group and we don't have one on Facebook. I live in Cyril and don't have a vehicle, I was thinking maybe we could meet up at the park sometime, maybe even gather a group of other likeminded people and the Lawton area and start something! I'm sure there's lots of other people in the area interested in yoga, acrobatics, fitness and Acroyoga that might want to start something like this too. If you're interested comment below, I've played with lots of different groups of AcroYogis over the years and can show everyone basic L-Basing and the Throne Pose and a bunch of others. I’ve been a mechanic for a long time now, but don’t have access to a shop here. I have all of my tools, but nowhere to use them. There is a landlord from okc offering a veterans move in special on zillow. Trullia. And even Craigslist. Offering a month free. In lawton. What you get after putting almost a thousand down. Is a house with 0 ac. A landlord who refuses to fix sewage/ broken toilet, back up for a week. Then refuses to repair the broken line for a month until the sewage backed up and the city threatened a fine. Only to have an unlicensed plumber bury the sewage. Our house hasn't been under 93 degrees unless it's at night. It states in out lease the company is supposed to provide window units. But we have had to purchase a portable one out of our pocket. And the house is still unbearably hot. They are posing as a legitimate rental company. Only to find out the real company has never heard of them. Please don't fall for this scam like we did.
