I’m thinking about getting out of the cleaning business. It’s always been a side hustle, and my day job demands are increasing after a promotion. I’ve got a DMK 200w pulse laser, and an SFX 1500w cw unit. I think it would be easiest to have you pick them up verses shipping. I live in Charlotte,NC. PM if interested. I’ll make you a great deal.
I'm getting a 2000 Watt continuous wave laser welder cleaner, and wanted to buy a good set of glasses I can wear over my prescription glasses. In doing my research, I found a number of choices, and was hoping somebody could clear. a few things. All the glasses I looked at. had an optical density of at least. 6 or 7 (OD+6) for a 1064-1070nm wavelength. Aside from lens material, it seems the difference seems to is in their visual light transmission. The glasses with higher VTL are almost clear or light blue as apposed to dark green.
2 questions:
Does the lens color or VTL matter so long as the glasses have an OD of at least +6 for 1064nm light?
And, is there a functional difference between glasses specified for YaG lasers and Fiber lasers so long as the OD for 1064Nm is the same?
Hi. I'm looking for a valuable channels, which shows how this business looks like.
I'm considering getting into the laser cleaning business and I'd like to get some different perspectives on it. I want to know what I should pay attention to, what kind of problems I might face, and what equipment I should buy. All the videos I've found so far are short clips demonstrating the laser cleaning process, but I'd like to learn more. What are the differences between the various characteristics of laser sources. Etc.

Hi everyone !!
I do electronics repair, and I’m wondering if anyone here has any experience using 10-30w pulse laser to clean off dirt and oxidation ?
Can it be done safely?
Hey guys,
After looking into this for a long time now, im just gonna do it. I want to expand my business into laser cleaning. I want to start out with a 300w (or 500? Is it worth the extra money when starting out) pulse laser. Where did you get yours from? I dont really have a 100k+ budget to buy a laser here in europe, so china it is.
I know most lasers from china run the same components, so the company itself is the most important part to me. How was their service and are you satisfied with the laser?
Then theres the other stuff you"ll need:
•Air compressor and generator (only if no air pressure and power is available on site) are not that special.
•which laser barriers do you use and recommend? When working inside, do you also use something above you like a tent?
•any portable welding fume extractor with a hose to the laser gun will work?
•goggles and papr respirator?
What other stuff do you use and bring with you? I have not done any laser safety course yet. Before starting out I will do that offcourse.
I have a 1500w CW, and I wear the glasses and usually wear a mask. I won’t hit any reflective metal like chrome or stainless steel but I would like to hear if anyone else had any tips or anything because I don’t really want to go blind at 19.
