Human Gardens/Peking Duck

Questions Has anyone ever had the Peking Duck from Hunan Gardens? If so, was it good? How big was it? Anywhere else in the area to buy one?

Actual decent used car

Hey- I'm car shopping for my eldest daughter. She's heavily pregnant and wants something SUV-esque or similar so she feels safe.

Budget is up to $6k.

Everything I find on FB is a scam or similar. I don't even. think Craigslist exists any.ore in a capacity that is relevant.

Where should I be looking?

Gluten Free Sourdough?

Anyone know where I can find some good gluten free sour dough bread? Wondering if any of the local bakeries or shops may sell some? Thanks!

Any good tailor recommendations?

I recently acquired a lot of Yeezy X Gap clothing and if you know what those are you know they’re famously oversized and/or awkward fitting, although extremely comfortable. I’d like to get some of these pieces tailored but I’ve never been to a tailor. Any recommendations on some of the better tailors around Kalamazoo?

CopperBay Property Management

Seems like the majority or the single-family residences that are available are managed by this company. Anyone have any experience renting through this property management company?

My wife and I are moving out there at year end and plan to rent for a year before buying

Best Salad in Town

I am the worst at finding good places for carryout. I am not the salad-eater in the house, and would love to find the best one in town. Protein preference is grilled chicken or seafood, and I need to be able to get it dairy-free. My SO is lactose intolerant.

Thanks in advance.

*Edit to add "grilled".

Titanium jewelry

Kind folks of kzoo. Are there any piercers that sell a good variety of titanium piercing jewelry? I don't get out much but would like to change my earrings. I don't want to order from online as you never know what the quality is.

Martial Arts for Young Kids

Looking for a martial arts school in Kzoo that takes young kids (3-4 and up). Got a little boy with a ton of energy who likes to punch and kick stuff, and would love to help him channel it! Any recommendations?

Vet experiences

What are people's experiences with the Kalamazoo Animal Hospital? I got a new cat and I need to take her in for first appointment.

I went there once with my previous cat about 5 years ago and didn't have the best experience. Like, no one was at the reception desk when I got there among a few other things. I just want to see if anything has changed. It's near me, so it's convenient.

Bronson Run Spray Paint Vandalized Streets

They SPRAY PAINTED the streets, and the streets remain fucked up by their dumb-as-shit vandalization for the event that benefited their MEDICAL BUSINESS. I think they should fix the damage they did to my neighborhood. What do YOU think?

If anyone is looking for a cat in the Westnedge hill area...

Just pulled the body of a white and gray cat out of one the northbound lanes between Montrose and Edgemoor. I don't know the gender but it was a full grown cat that was mostly white with some gray spots...I saw them in the road and had to go back because they reminded me so much of one of my own cats...they're wrapped in a red T-shirt in the leaves on the sidewalk between Montrose and Edgemoor...RIP sweet baby

Edit: I hate to add this but I feel like I need to...it was slightly gruesome, not as bad as it can be but...pretty bad

Voting info re: 9th circuit court Judge Paul Bridenstine: No jail time for Western Michigan University police officer sentenced for child sex trafficking

I understand he is the incumbent and is running unopposed, but good to be aware of these things. The Judge (currently on the ballot) sentenced a WMU police officer to 2 days jail time and 5 years probation after being caught in a child sex sting.

Related to: https://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/2022/10/former-wmu-police-officer-caught-in-sex-sting-sentenced-to-probation.html
