I’m hoping to plant 2 next year, zone 8A, wondering if anyone else has tried.
A kumquat tree is easy to grow and can produce a lot of fruit. The question is, what do you do with it? Last winter, I posted a video explaining how to process kumquats to make a tasty bitter or kumquat cello. When we left off, I had put a gallon jar of potential goodness in the closet to soak. In this video, I explain how to strain, filter, dilute, sweeten and bottle the deliciousness.
The skin was so thin. I had not seen one in a grocery store and have not seen one since. Are many of them grown?
What time of the year are they in season? Do I need to go to a local farmer's market?
I have made new subreddit called kumquatunion message me to join
Dear Reddit, I'm having an enormously difficult couple of days attempting to make my mind up over the pot of kumquat's I bought. They're alright - but I feel like I'm eating all of the most useless parts of an orange. They're all pips and peel. Nonetheless I will persist with them. -Babababa2

I bought a carton and I don't know what to do with them all.
