I can't find it :(
thank you
Yo, anyone know why I am physically not able to update to v6.0, like i click the button on the menu and it just doesnt update, I don't want to lose all my settings and that
Title pretty much
Hey so I've been trying to figure out charting and all that shabang, but problem is that I cannot for the life of me figure out how to create a slam, making a lazer will only make like a long one, it never creates a slam no matter how short it is as shown in the image, is there a hotkey I'm missing? The dude I'm watching's tutorial just kinda clicks and it appears so I am super confused what's happening.
Disclaimer: Crossposted on r/rhythmgames. Oh, and THIS REVIEW IS NOT GOING TO GO OVER THE DEFAULT SWITCHES AND BUTTONS. I’ll explain that a bit later. Also, do keep in note that I am not a pro. I’ve recently have been able to get golden wings on 7th dan, and am pushing to 16s now.
There aren’t that many english videos out for this controller. With that being said, there are videos out for this controller, so I’ll post them all here:
https://youtu.be/8wRCOytAj38?si=-Z3LfqB3cGzRL41c (Gameplay, switches and springs unknown, review pinned in comments)
https://youtu.be/hftVSxaGIIM?si=PuBfYTPblaQujNM6 (Gameplay, switches and springs unknown, review pinned in comments)
https://youtu.be/n4kDILyuGxo?si=uIoO8d-wmqoz67mP (Review, buttons are ISTMALL buttons, switches and springs unknown, had issues with buttons sticking and was able to get it fixed by sending it in for repair)
https://youtu.be/R5cxQe1sw1Y?si=612-Slg08ZyM7sm5 (Gameplay, buttons are ISTMALL, switches and springs unknown)
https://youtu.be/6_YnuzS_g2U?si=B87JqFwpkMhKxcn- (Gameplay, buttons are ISTMALL, springs are switched from 60g to 30g, Zippy switches but unknown grams, review in description)
https://youtu.be/RUGSXk4pTOA?si=Py00CYeBUHs92sYY (Gameplay, switches and springs unknown)
https://youtu.be/fIbBUMr0X1A?si=rmh-raibR-yzrw7U (Gameplay, buttons are Sanwa, switches and springs unknown)
Now then, the elephant in the room. I configured my ISTMALL controller to have Sanwa buttons with 40g springs, as well as the Omron V-10-1A4. This could be replicated, but do note that it will take longer for the controller to arrive. This also isn’t the default setting for the ISTMALL controller on Ebay, as well as the fast shipping option available on ISTMALL's website. Finally, the case that I have is going to be different than the ones that are being shipped out right now, as they have swapped the case finish from a glossy finish to a matte one.
Ordered: 10/14/23
Shipped: 10/26/23

To change modes of the controller, here are the button combinations (Note: Hold them as you’re plugging in the controller):
Controller Mode (For Konaste): Start + BT-A
Keyboard Mode: Start + BT-C
Keyboard + Mouse for Knobs Mode: Start + BT-D
Quick Pros and Cons (If you don’t want to read too much):
+ CALT encoder (supposedly) more durable than Copal encoders
+ Cheaper Sanwa buttons upgrade
+ Skinning is free
+ Uses one cable for everything (USB-B cable)
+ Can choose between black and white case
= The controller is moderately sized.
= Sanwa's are supposedly the new type, making it so that you would have to buy the old Sanwa lamp header to fit other switches.
- CALT encoder is super sensitive (explained later)
- The knobs have ridges instead of grooves
- No LED in the controller for the cheapest model
- Made to order, meaning that it may take a while to get your con after ordering
- Some QC issues, but easily handled by the warranty.
- QC issues lead to some cons having their button LEDs stay active after the button is let go
- There are some cases of buttons not registering or misfiring (Fixable through cleaning the buttons and reseating the wiring on the switches)
- Controller doesn’t flash when mode change is successful (Minor nitpick)
I’ll go over the cons first, as I feel like there are a couple of big ones that we need to discuss before moving onto the (small) pro.
Firstly, the knobs are SUPER SENSITIVE. This means that if the game doesn’t have a way to factor in deadzones, it will accidentally misfire in the opposite direction if your hand just so happens to graze in the opposite direction. After testing it out with both USC and Konaste, I can confirm that both have some form of deadzones for the knobs, so that’s good.
Second, with the knobs, I feel like the base knobs are too rigid for people to get used to. The sharp edges does help in controlling the knob, but it’s not how the arcade machine feels. I had to swap it out with Speedy's DIY knobs for it to feel better, but that is an extra cost that I had to put in.
Also, the lowest default grams for the springs for Sanwas or the ISTMALL buttons aren’t 20g, they’re 40g. To get it to 20g, you would need to spend more money either through ISTMALL or Blue Spring Express, and swap them out yourself.
Finally, there isn’t an extra button. This matters for USC, because that means you cannot play on controller mode, you can only play on keyboard and mouse, while also needing another keyboard/keypad next to you to exit a song.
There really isn’t a pro, but if I had to try and choose one, it would be the price. To compare, I’ll go into detail on the cheapest arcade style SDVX controllers you can get from both Gamo2 and Yuancon, then go into detail on how much it would have costed if I had gotten the extras that I added.
Gamo2 has the FAUCETWO+ VW Skin, with Chinese buttons and 60g springs, Honeywell switches at 15g, all for $262.50 when shipping to the United States.
Yuancon has the SDVX Lite 3, with Chinese buttons and 50g springs, Gateron MS-2 switches at 25g, all for $207 when shipping to the United States.
ISTMALL has this Sabolcon, with ISTMALL buttons and 30g springs, Zippy VMN-06N switches at 60g, all for $262 when shipping to the United States.
The ISTMALL is around the same price as the FAUCETWO+, but the Honeywell switches wouldn’t last longer than the Zippy switches, with the Honeywell switches having an advertised 2 million presses and the Zippy switches being advertised at 10 million presses. Also, the ISTMALL springs and switches combined would be closer to arcade spec grams, which is a combined 90g, compared to both the FAUCETWO+ and the SDVX LITE 3 at 75g.
However, where it falls short is the pricing of the options to make them more like the arcades:
With the inclusion of the Omron V-10-1A4 switches, Sanwa buttons, and 20g springs, the FAUCETWO+ goes to $389.50.
The SDVX Lite 3, with Sanwa OBSA-LHS1F-LN switches, Sanwa buttons, and 20g springs, goes to $352.
Finally, the ISTMALL controller with Omron V-10-1A4 switches, Sanwa buttons, and 20g springs becomes $353.
All in all, do I recommend getting the ISTMALL Sabolcon? No. The only reason why you would buy this controller would be because you want the cheapest but decent controller NOW, and are looking to upgrade it down the line.
To be honest, the FAUCETWO+ and the SDVX Lite 3 are better options for people who are looking to spend their money on it without the need to go in and change out things. Especially the FAUCETWO+, as that controller was “recently” updated to have a new, better knob design, as well as more options and the ability to play off of 1 cable instead of plugging in 2. If you have the money to spend, and are looking for options around the $400 mark, I recommend getting the FAUCETWO+, or the Yuancon SDVX 12 models with the OBSA-LHS1F switches or the V-10-1A4 switches.
For now? I guess I’ll cry and weep that the Korean company wasn’t good enough, update the guide I uploaded on r/kshootmania, and prepare for another review next year…
(To be honest, I bought this controller just because it was from a Korean company, and also because there wasn’t much about this controller, so I wanted to find out what this controller was about.)
Ive been playing for a week and im having trouble with lasers being too sensitive especially when a chart wants to me to go back and forth slowly. I overshoot even though im not turning the knob that much. I have the sensitivity set to 3.95 and with the knobs tighten but it's still too sensitive
After yesterday's incident, I skimmed through this subreddit, and a particular individual's scoreposts attracted my attention.
While I'm 99% sure that those also are stolen scores, I don't have a cold, hard evidence yet. I believe that I'll be able to find a definite evidence if I try hard enough, but I won't do it for now.
I also believe (without certainty) that the culprit from the yesterday's incident and the suspect for this case both are humans and not bots. It baffles me that some people would yank scoreposts from others and pretend to be their own to inflate their ego with nothing.
Now, when I look at another person's insane score, instead of congratulating them, I will have to be always suspicious and find evidences of cheat/steal/innocence. This sucks.
If you still want(ed) to steal scores, note that:
If you're an innocent player and this post scared you, sorry for inconvenience :/
I don't know if anyone tried this before, but if you have a hotswap keyboard this might be a good alternative to buying a custom pocket voltex. Aside from obviously not having knobs, this is pratically identical to playing on a mini con.
kinda want something new but finished
I just got a launchkey mini mk4 and it has pads and knobs so I wanted to try to play unnamed svdx clone but I cant find any software to convert midi to gamepad input. Does anyone know how to do this?
Buying my first controller because iv always been interested in rythem games, i was top 500 in osu standard
Im just curious is kshoot like osu where the community can make songs into maps?
Also any tips starting out in getting a sdvx12 for my first controller is it just plug and play or?
Any advice would be nice :))
ps hardstyle dj in Brisbane Australia i go by the name mania if you’re around the area dm me come to a event!
Hey, so i want to start charrting for ksm and usc but when i try to open the editor the window is frozen and i can't move it, after 5 seconds it just closes, how do i fix this?
I've been playing this game on pc with keyboards for 2 months now, and as a broke person who lives in out of nowhere there is not really any way for me to get a proper controller. So keyboard it is.
The problem with my keyboard binding is I just got used to 1 binding setup (with the usual eruicm as buttons and 2389 as lasers), but anything above level 17 is literally impossible without double binding. As someone who got used to single binding setup I don't get the double binding at all. My brain doesn't function, even if I tries to get used to it only 17+ levels require my fingers to actually move over the keyboard, so it's even more pain to learn from basics.
How did you fellow keyboard players have gotten used to a double binding? As person who's been playing rhythm games for almost 8 years I well understand that I just have to play more, but those advanced mechanics locked behind level 18s doesn't make me feel like I'm actually learning to play on 2 bindings :I
why does lvl speed become slower, when i tap “1” button during the game? (sdvx unnamed clone)
Hi. I really want to start to play this game. And I saw that nemsys controller are really cheap. But I couldn't find alot of information on Google about if this work in USC/K Shoot mania. Dose the game work with the nemsys controller?
BT-D light wont turn on unless tapped really hard and usually wont stay on, when it does it is usually dimmer then the other lights. Got the controller new about 2 weeks ago. Should I contact support or is this something I could fix on my own?
Hello, I'm trying to set up a Yuancon SDVX Lite 3 Controllers on a Mac. When using Mode 1 (keyboard/mouse mode), the BT buttons work fine (I can type on them), but the knobs do not control mouse movement at all.
When I try to switch to Mode 3 and set inputs to be Controller, the controller doesn't register any input at all, whether buttons or knobs.
Any idea for what might be happening here? The lights work fine (when I turn the knobs, the LEDs still react)
Fucking finally and somehow, some fucking how I managed it within only a measly 15 tries, lol! XD
Even though I've been playing since October of 2014 I am still shaking right now even after a solid hour of it happening and posting this as of now, hopefully I don't have a heart attack when I go for humanoid by the same artist (HIMEHINA), also I called it about 3 months back that it'd be this artist that I get my first PUC on and jokingly back then I said "wouldn't it be hilarious if I PUC'd Mr. virtualizer instead of humanoid?". Looks like I predicted the fucking future or something. lol! XD
Just did a fresh install of windows and after re-downloading SDVX clone nothing happens at all when i click the exe. The cursor spins for a second and then nothing. Nothing in the log shows anything has actually happened. Any help would be much appreciated
Hello, I am an entirely new player to Sound Voltex series (there's no SDVX cabs available here) and I found out that USC works well as an alternative on PC. I've downloaded the game but is there possible to change the scroll speed just like other VSRGs as well?
looking to sell a pretty much brand new faucetwo, used to play a bit but now i could really use the money as a university student
pm offers and maybe we can work something out :)
Ive tried doing everything and i cant open usc-game.exe help
I installed the official SDVX to test if it is worth buying it but everytime i open the game i get black screen and then it crashes with this error 😔
Hey all,
I'm looking to offload my Yuancon controller and want to ask the community if anyone might be interested.
I would play occasionally, but it's pretty lightly used.
Comment if you're interested and I'll DM you.
I was gifted this controller and I was trying to use it on my PC, I have it plugged into a 3.0 port and after about 2 minutes, what I could assume is a Bluetooth mode is consistently trying to pair when there aren’t even batteries in the thing. Not sure how to get it to stop, I am trying to use it on USC but it also doesn’t recognize the knobs either. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
Pls NSG Songs in KSM (NOV 06, ADV 10, EXH 15 & MXM 17) PLS
I don’t know what happened, but my favorites folder got messed up, and it’s full of random songs now. It also has fewer songs in it than it had before. Is there anyway to fix this? Does anybody know what could have happened? I had a shitload of songs in there, could having too many be the problem?
