So this my first time buying K-pop merch online and I found a few posts saying that choice music was a good one so I tried ordering from there. But it didn’t allow me to add more than 5 items to my cart ( for reference I was buying posters on my laptop). So after a while I got fed up and looked it up and apparently it had something to do with the popup after you add your item into the cart not working. I ensured I enabled popup and tried again. When this didn’t work I switched from chrome to edge same thing.But the crazy part is that this nct dream poster I wanted that was sold out on chrome yes THE SAME EXACT POSTER added to my cart easily! But at the end of the day same problem even on my phone on chrome ( after I added a bunch of random stuff more than 5 to see that it works). At this point idk what to do? Is there some other solution or should I give up on choice music?

I, though I don’t feel entirely comfortable disclosing my age, am a minor. Though I’m close to being an adult in a matter of a few years. I want to audition for JYPE, but I’m not entirely sure if I should truly go through with it.

I saw that I can still submit for global auditions when doing a quick web search.

I have a decent amount of choir experience and though I’ve never had formal lessons, have been singing all my life. According to many people (even people I don’t know), I sing well.

HOWEVER, I can’t dance. Sure, I can do hip movements and I can move elegantly enough I could suit a more flowy sort of dance. And I’m good with more sharp, pointed leg movements. But frankly, looking at the dancing styles of JYPE artists what I’m good at wouldn’t fit in. I’m awful at footwork and only recently starting to get a nice sense of rhythm.

JYPE is the only company I’d feel comfortable auditioning with, but is the company that prizes dancing the most. And even if I’m an impressive singer and have been told quite often I am pretty and should go into modeling (specifically that I look like a doll), if I can’t dance I don’t know if they’d take me.

I also happen to be black, and though I know rudimentary phrases, can read a little bit of Hangul, can introduce myself, and have decent pronunciation, I don’t know Korean. I’ve always been more interested in Spanish and French, at some point even Japanese, not Korean.

I just want to know what my chances of actually being accepted are, especially because there’s so many people who will be auditioning who are professionally trained in many aspects.

I just don’t want to set myself up for failure/get my hopes up if I don’t have a high chance of becoming a trainee, and want to ask for some advice here.

For those who have been to concerts there before, how is parking availability and pricing? Are there any nearby lots you’d recommend, or should I go with the parking I can buy on ticket selling platform? Any tips for getting in and out efficiently would be greatly appreciated!

The song is probably 15+ years old. The music video/song is about the girl missing someone and waiting for a phone call. She dresses up, puts on wigs, and draws on herself like a doll. There’s a scene of her all dolled up and in the woods. She takes off her outfit and makeup and starts crying. There’s fish tank that breaks at the end of the music video and a goldfish is flopping around. That’s all I got.

I need to register facepass for a ticket I bought on global interpark. So I click on "mobile ticket" (on the desktop site) and it gives me a QR code, I scan the code which takes me to a website on my phone but it forces a redirect to open the Korean interpark app. There is no global interpark app, and there seems to be no other way to access the facepass registration at all...

Has anyone either solved this, or been to an event recently as a global user where facepass was "required" and gotten in without it? ie, the facepass is only available to Korean users, maybe it's just not communicated properly on the event info page?

Edit: with the help of a friend I finally got it, the process just doesn't work as it should 🙃 with the app downloaded on my phone from the QR code I got from the desktop site, I then had to go onto the mobile site, bring up my mobile ticket and click register facepass from that, which took me to the Korean interpark app and nothing happened, then closed the Korean app, tried clicking on the same thing again on the mobile site, and then finally, it worked. Another fun journey with k-pop ticketing 👍🏻

for a school project, i plan on writing an essay and doing a presentation about the rise of chinese idols in kpop or the influence of kpop in china. not a kpop fan but am interested in this topic! i know a bit of kpop but not very in depth.

i do know that the rise of chinese idols mainly began with hangeng of super junior and victoria of f(x), and im aware of ex and current chinese members (luhan, tao, lay, jackson, yuqi, etc). and due to the influence of produce 101 in korea, china has created its own version (produce, chuang, idol producer, ywy). also running man named as keep running.

i would like ANY insight onto any chinese-related aspect of kpop, if it’s something not found on wikipedia that would be even better! it can range from the members, their respective groups, shows, influence, idols experience, specific things they’ve done, etc, it can literally be ANYTHING. thanks everyone!

I haven't been properly listening to Kpop for a good while now, ever since 2020-ish, and I would really appreciate a couple song recs (alternatively, am looking to discover some great girl group vocalists too, so any recs in that regard would also help)! As guidelines of sorts, I've checked out a couple recent releases, and I really liked:

• For Jpop, I really like Nogizaka46's songs.

I'll try my best to reply to any recs (unlike some of my previous attempts, for which I must apologize) and I really would appreciate any recommendations, be it girl groups or boy groups, and vocalists alike. I heard this song a while ago and with the lyrics and group being Korean I can not find it again to save my life. The group are a mix of a female singer and I think 2 other males, one of them kind of raps a bit, he's a bigger guy. They're performing in some kind of night market with fairy lights out doors. I think the song or title might relate to something to do with a market and the lyrics involve shopping.

They all have extraordinary debuts with counting from 3M and even 5M-7M streams on Spotify and even debut pretty high or straight to no.1 on other charts like iTunes,Billboard Global and excl. Us and other billboard charts but what I've noticed is that they don't last long on them.

They tend to leave Spotify charts after around 2-3 months and even after less than 2-3 months on Billboard Global and excl. US which counts streams from all platforms not just Spotify so even if they wouldn't dominate Spotify,they would still be able to dominate other platforms(ex. YT Music)

Even Whiplash by aespa lasts longer on Billboard charts than most of bp's solo music even though they aren't more popular than the bp members.

I love stray kids, and I was watching the megaverse music video fairly recently, and I realized— they are just terrifying this security guard with the worst day of his life, and he’s scared s**tless. Now I don’t know if there’s some lore I’m missing here, but even if there is some shadowy secret evil organization behind the sound monster or something, it still just seems really crazy violent and perhaps unjustifiably evil (obviously talking about skz’ music video characters, if I even have to say that) to make this random security guard fear for his life as he’s pounded through concrete floor levels with supernatural strength. As all this was going through my mind I realized I can’t think of many music videos where the artist is seen as the villain? antagonist? to the closer POV subject of the video, as we see stray kids as these terrifyingly powerful people through the eyes of this guard.

Do you know of any others I should watch? I don’t really mean something like guerrilla by ateez, as their actions are from their anarchist protests against an oppressive regime, nor do I mean something like run by bts (the 2015 one) where their actions that get them arrested are from their rebel streaks of youth getting them arrested for spray painting and stuff (besides tae’s character >!killing his abusive father to protect his sister and act in self defense!< in the lore, a completely justifiable action in the eyes of many, and not portraying him in a bad light).

I don’t really even want examples of the artist getting arrested (in the mv ofc) for whatever random crimes they commit, or just basic bad boy/bad girl rebellious “I’m different and cool” stuff, but I’m really curious about any more videos where they really feel like the villain, the actual bad guys, and are shown that way like in megaverse. Does anyone have any examples I can check out?

Edit: while I’m really enjoying all these answers, both the great music videos and seeing all the various criminal activities, I feel like it may be starting to get a little loose with adding anything with a murder or crime or even cops chasing them or something. I really wanna feel that pang of like “oh dang, these are not good people at all i would be actually fully terrified of them if i was in their vicinity” like megaverse, haegum, railway, lotto, ice on my teeth (especially if they expanded it beyond such a sexy flexy bop with such a slutty music video [/pos] and like, made it a rated r show. Like, I’d be absolutely petrified to meet seonghwa in that vid, if only I weren’t too busy dropping it low to the song). Again, there’s a ton of replies that are really great songs and music videos with a lot of crime and fighting, but i just gotta scratch that itch of a bit of fear at what this person is possibly capable of.

i recently bought a wayv pc set on instagram and the seller seemed safe enough as they had an array of proofs. my only downside is that their wtt/wts posts were a little dated. i reached out to the seller and they said that the full set is still available for purchase. i sent the money thru paypal f&f per their request. that was 12/24/24, it is currently 2/3/25. i'm trying to have patience but i'm getting antsy. i did ask early along after sending the money and the seller said that they're returning home after the holidays and will send it out. i feel like it is long past the grace period but i can't help but feel like i'll sound hasty or rude if i question them a second time. they're located in canada and i am from the usa. they have not given me any updates on whether or not they have sent it out and i did not purchase tracked shipping (bc ever other experience has been fine until now??) even if they didn't update me on whether they sent it out, it should have arrived by now if there were not mailing trouble?
