Hi,
A lot ot people care about performance. KiwiBrowser uses the old Chrome 112 engine form April 2024 with lots of security holes. Edit: coyhardt73 wrote it's 124 included, not 112!
The current Chrome version has a 2 times improvement of the performance.
What you need is a browser based on the current version of chrome. E.g. Google Chrome, Brave....

Hi it's possible to convert kiwi-browser to webview.apk!
That is, to provide webview implementation for other apps!
2 mode: embed or bridge
embed : build on top of the source code of kiwi-browser
bridge : compile kiwi-browser as kiwi-webview.apk and share codes through android's plugin api createPackageContext.
currently I only manage to invoke kiwi-webview.apk in single-process mode. and the extension function is somewhat broken..
Kiwi is New Zealanders' nickname, so Kiwi browser made by NZ?
Hi guys, I installed Kiwi Browser on the android tablet (Redmi Pad Pro) everything worked fine for 2 hours, but after a while all my extensions that I had installed in Kiwi disappeared, they no longer appear in the list of extensiosns and some sites no longer display images, and yet I have not done anything special to create this problem! Do you know what could be causing this ? Thanks Guys
This is an issue that I started observing recently. It's when I have several tabs open. I click on the tabs icon in the toolbar and nothing happens! When you hit that icon, you're supposed to see a list of your open tabs. Restarting the browser fixes this. Have you observed this too?
When I clear the cache of the Kiwi browser, all icons of all websites on the home page are greyed out for a short time and then regain their colour.
Today, the latter did not happen. No matter what I tried: everything remained grey.
In the end, I reset the whole phone to factory settings, a lot of work of course.
But now that did not help either: everything remains grey.
How can I fix this?
It seems https://logos.kiwibrowser.com is down causing the favorite site bubbles on the homepage to not load site icons.
Edit: The site is working again.
A question. You are on Kiwi (or another chromium browser) and any web page is open. You turn off your phone, turn it on again, reopen the browser and it reloads the same page. How to do so that this does not happen and after turning it back on it reopens only the home page of the browser? is there a specific option somewhere?
I feel terrible. Kiwi was my favorite browser, and I've used it for a long time. It started with OpenAI sites, and then I noticed a bunch of other sites stopped working. I've been using Firefox for a few hours now, and haven't encountered any bugs or glitches yet. Extensions are working as expected. If you're looking for a new browser, try Firefox QUETTA Yandex.
Google will most likely sell Chrome. The future of web browsing looks grim.
Heres a helpful video i found on how to install the kiwi browser:
Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Some images don't show on some sitesz when they used to, and still do on Chrome. I don't have the block intrusive ads enabled, and I have uBlock disabled. Cleared all browsing data too.
I recently had to clear my cache for Reddit and ever since then, it hasn't recognised my saved credentials for reddit.com. It's still in the kiwi list from the menu but doesn't offer it when I want to log in.
I tried deleting it but it doesn't offer to remember/save it, either.
Feeling a little down cause this is my favorite browser and other ones don't even come close. If I switch to the desktop webpage it works fine. But mobile chatGPT page shows an error. https://i.imgur.com/LZCs26o.jpeg
Been using kiwi version 112.0.5xxxxx for a while now. Unfortunately the April release has a bug that was never fixed. For example something on Facebook marketplace you could not see the messages in the left column bc it was cut off.
What I enjoy about Kiwi and I'm looking for in an alternative due to websites complainig about this browser not meeting security standards is:
What browsers offer these 3 options? I have yet to find one unfortunately. FF. Chrome, Bravo. Mull nothing
Unable to open any website. Tried disabling ad blocker too, but didn't make any difference.
Any way to fix it?
I use an extension to monitor page changes it checks once every 30 minutes but after one or two checks it starts to give timeout failed the load page errors.
I suspect the kiwi browser is disabling data usage or something similar while inactive.
Why on earth this freaking browser anytime you have to click allow on a popup ( for example when its asking for camera permission, or audio, etc ) it just freezes and you can't click on anything. You can close browser, clear cache, data uninstall install anything and darn thing just does the same. 2 different phones same issue. I love the darn browser because of the extensions etc but this kind of behavior is pushing me towards moving to Lemur an inch closer every day. Pisses me off, any ideas what might be causing it?
Any way to get links i click on thru Kiwi to open the app i have set as defaults for those types of link.
For instance with Kiwi set to default browser, when i come across a YouTube link, say on reddit or even on Kiwi itself, it opens a browser tab or new page to view the video/content whereas on Chrome, same link, opens up my default YouTube apk (i use ReVanced, not OG YouTube) that I have set permissions for to open those specific linka to that app.
There HAS to be a way to change that considering its always the default to forward assigned links to their corresponding application, right? What am I missing here?
I want the videos or songs keep playing and I don't want pages suddenly reload, making videos stop playing. Any script that still works right now or extension? I don't like to run in "desktop page" mode
Basically the title, some specif pages will load for the first time to keep in a loop of reloading ad infinitum (exception of one episode where it stopped). Example of page:https://www.correiobraziliense.com.br/mundo/2024/11/6980526-jovens-tiram-foto-com-cabeca-decapitada-pensando-ser-enfeite-de-halloween.html
This has become frequent last week and I don't have the sane issue in chrome for example while testing the same links
Hello guys
I accidentally closed my tabs(400+)
Can anyone help me with suggestions on how to retrieve those....🙇♂️🙇♂️🙇♂️
Even though there arent many updates, its still working perfectly fine and its still super fast. I personally cant really find a reason to complain idk
When I noticed that there has been almost half a year without an update for Kiwi, I was curious. Does anyone know why development has stopped and what are the plans for the future?
