Hi! I used to drink mostly fizzy drinks but I switched to low carb squash for keto. I’ve started being very thirsty and drinking loads, like 5ish litres a day for a month. Is that normal?
Seen so many people posting about pork crunch as a coating but never tried it as I believed it'd be a plate of disappointment but OMG. Feel like I've had an actual cheat meal. Literally chicken mini fillets dipped in a beaten egg with some pepper and then dipped in ground up pork crunch and fried in butter. Made a spicy dip with some mayo, SF ketchup, a little mustard, tobasco and some smoked paprika. My new comfort meal when that weekend takeaway devil is screaming in my head.
Can anyone confirm the nutritional information on these please? The information on the packet states 20g carbs and 2g sugar but no mention of polyols. Reluctant to nosh this strawberry cheesecake delight!
i am feeling good! have a good concentration level but I am feeling a bit hungry.. but not giving up
Just a heads up- ITS AMAZING! Just fancied something different and wow what a treat for the old taste buds!
Doing keto a few weeks now. Last few days I’ve noticed this kind of sweet taste in my mouth that seems to linger. Anyone else had this? Feels almost like I maybe drank a sweet drink 5 minutes earlier or something. Is this a ketosis signal? My pee strips say I’ve been in ketosis all week. In that middling pink area (not dark dark purple).
Am I right in calculating that if I bought a 50g bag of this powder and used 3g, it would equal to 2.6 carbs? I entered the info into Nutra check but I'm not sure if I've done my calculations correctly!
The below is 1 cup (128g)
I've only been doing keto for a week, but my partner is down half a stone, yet I weigh exactly the same. We're stark contrast of each other atm, and it's confusing and frustraiting.
He is much healthier than me in terms of diet and exercise, I am much more overweight than he is. Could these be reasons? I also switched over from Slimming World, so no or low fat foods to high fat, high protein over night. Could this be doing something?
I am trying to weigh and measure everything I eat, I can't eat as big a portions for breakfast or lunch, and haven't lost a single pound...!
Does it take longer for women to see a change?
feeling low on energy and foggy. but so far so good feel like eating!! more (cubs but had my control)
Doing keto, gluten-free and lactose intolerant isn’t so easy, (especially as I can’t seem to handle oats any more ) so I’m after some ready-made breads. I used to make my own artisan gluten-free vegan loaves especially in the lockdown but I’m chronically unwell and I don’t always have the physical energy to repeat these processes. Especially as I would have to experiment a lot doing low carb, low sugar keto version now.
I’ve tried Be keto bread, which I found a bit bitter. The bagel was better but too high in Cals & carbs for me I think. I’ve currently got my second batch of Dillons original. Although I’ve read in some of the posts that folks aren’t impressed with the seed oils and that they aren’t fully keto. So what’s left on the market? Or is there a gap?
I've bought a Garmin Vivoactive 5, which I'm very happy with. I use Nutra check for monitoring macros and have synced the Garmin with Nutra check. However, it's Nutra check is not pulling through calories I've burned, from Garmin. Does anyone have the same problem? Or anyone able to help advise what I need to do? Thanks in advance
Ok they look worse in the photo but these are seriously the easiest biscuits I’ve ever made! 250g smooth almond butter, 100g sweetener and 1 egg! I added Lindt 90% dark chocolate to mine but they seriously came out so crumbly and delicious. I am the only keto-er in my household but the rest of my family loved them too! Waitrose have discontinued their Livlife bread and Sainsbury's have discontinued their Hi Lo bread. What is going on
As i have tried everything but it does no work so. i want to try keto and also want to be a part of a community where I can share my progress and get ideas from people around not.
Hello looking for suggestions on some nice cereal or muesli to buy which is without any nuts. Have tried the Heylo one and it’s great but £8 a bag is 4x the cereal I used to buy. If you know of any please let me know.
As the titles goes, I have been keto since September. This happened to me in the early days but this caught me off guard today. So glad I work from home.
My question is , does this mean MCT oil is not for me or is there a period of time my body needs to get useto to.
Never trust a fart
Where do you guys find your carb / fat information? I spent ages this morning copying a list off a website, only to compare it to the packaging I had, and it was completely off. And it was also very different from other websites.
How do I know what or who to trust?
All I found is egg foo yung and batterless salt and pepper ribs
Is hot and sour soup keto?
I'm off to the curry house tonight and just wanted people's opinions on what to get as it seems hit and miss online on what to have so I'd rather get actual advice off someone I have seen that butter chicken is ok but I know some places add sugar to it
Hey there,
Who’s tried making things with Almond flour before? I don’t have all the ingredients yet but I’m getting my keto kitchen ingredients together. The intention for this is to try and make those keto wraps I noticed someone posted a YouTube recipe up that only needs just a few ingredients, which is almond flour, an egg, whey protein isolate powder and psyllium husk. Apparently makes convincing wraps at about 2g carbs.
Let me know your go to things. I’m new to keto properly on this the last week and I’m aware of small amounts of carbs adding up across the day whilst trying to stay under 20grams. For instance in the nuts a snack on, soy milk in tea (thought it was lower in carbs than it is was a bit bored of almond milk)
Baby bell cheese strings are handy but some of these get boring after a while. Curators pork scratchings are very good I found out last night.
