Hey everyone,
I've been in a bit of a Kdrama rut lately—nothing seems to hold my interest! For the past six months, I’ve started countless dramas but left most of them unfinished. I’m hoping you can recommend something that aligns with my preferences to help me find my next binge-worthy show! 🙏
What I’m Looking For:
Examples of What I’ve Loved:
Other Favorites:
Watch History: I’ve listed the dramas I’ve seen above, but I’m open to recommendations for both Kdramas and Cdramas that fit my vibe.
Thanks so much in advance for any suggestions! 😊
Hi, I really enjoy kidnapping as a plot trope in kdramas. Most of the time it's the FL who is kidnapped, with the ML going to save the day, so I want to see the trope reversals where FL saves ML. If they are kidnapped together that would be really fun too. I also like the idea of him having to figure out an escape by himself. I also would like people to at least realise he's missing and get worried.
Flower of Evil is a good example of >!the trope reversal since the FL saves ML!<. Big Mouth is a good example of >!the ML having to figure it out himself!<.
Bad and Crazy is a good example of >!the ML and FL being together during the experience and it's super fun watching them figure out how to escape!<. There doesn't have to be any romance though.
Here is my MDL list. I have watched a lot! If you see one on my not interested or dropped list that fits the requirements please mention it anyway, as I drop dramas all the time for no good reason as well as put them on the Not Interested list.
Also I have severe trauma from bullying so I can't watch shows that portray it with no reservations like The Glory or >!D.P..!<.
Weak Hero Class 1 was very hard for me to watch despite how good it was and I had to drop it before the finale due to the difficult scenes. I watched a less severe depiction but still heartbreaking drama after my sister agreed to watch it with me on my fourth attempt: >!True Beauty!<.
I don't enjoy bullying stuff especially when it's really severe. I usually end up dropping the drama if that happens! HOWEVER, still mention the drama, but please tell me if it has this topic in so I know and I'll judge for myself if it's okay for me. I only mention this because I know kidnapping comes up in hazing and bullying a lot.
Thank you!
I have not been watching Kdramas for too long, only have completed 18. Just figured out on episode 12 of HDL: my absolute favorites are where the female lead is taught by another to truly accept and feel their emotions. Have watched:
- It's Okay to Not Be Okay (I loved the chase between the leads, after >!it felt like she securely got him though I lost a bit of interest!<)
- Hotel Del Luna (Halfway through right now, love every minute so far, very good pacing and fashion. Genuinely cannot predict what will happen and I am sort of scared for that.. >!I like how FL is still very selfish and shallow in a lot of ways even as the plot progresses and at the same time her heart is softening for ML, it's endearing and doesn't feel like a sudden flip switch. You can really feel how eroding it all is to her, rather than her just being a totally different person overnight!<)
- Alchemy of Souls (Ignoring season two, this is my second favorite Kdrama, for the angst!>! She fought against fully allowing her feelings so hard. I know a lot of people dislike this for the world building plot holes but that was never my adoration for this drama, I just liked how tragic it all felt. !<)
- Doom At Your Service (Though it was the ML, I'd prefer FL for this plot. Anyway it broke my heart and is one of my favorite's for making me reconsider how I view life, love the philosphy of it)
Please tell me where to find more of this vibe, I do not care about any other details beyond just the focus being the FL thawing out her frozen, distrusting, doubtfully distance and cold avoidant attachment style heart.
https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/celesticixalchemei/completed drama list. Though those 4 are the only I can think of that are relevant to what I have been looking for from my first kdrama without even knowing it til now. My first Kdrama was True Beauty, which is my first favorite Kdrama, which like almost fits on the list? But she more so learns to be comfortable with accepting herself rather than her emotions, it's just near the vibe
As said in the title, k-dramas that are similar to those I have watched in the past. I am a vivid enjoyer of Korean Titles that hold a combination or singular genre of fantasy, action, romance. When it comes to dramas my favourite things to see within them are character developments, I love to see characters grow/wither and change my perspective about them. In conclusion, im looking for something that has what I described if you feel that you cannot recommend something from the list.
K-dramas Previously Watched:
sh**ting stars - a kdrama that was significantly different to what I had watched before but very quickly became a favourite of mine. It was a nice change from fantasy but still had a bit of action and very much romance despite lacking in fantasy and having more of a real world concept. Its an underrated drama that I find very little spoken about and I have a hard time finding negatives for it.
business proposal - a kdrama I watched after sh**ting stars with the hope that it would be somewhat similar to it, in a sense it was. I enjoyed it a lot despite the abrupt and for me, weird ending and some cringeworthy scenes (iykyk). I overall had fun and a few giggles with the kdrama.
the uncanny counter (s1 & s2) - woo! also one of my top kdramas that explored a different kind fantasy/supernatural concept and had a fresh feeling of little to no romance but a lot of family concept, I quickly fell in love with this drama since the first episode and had a whale of a time when the season 2 came out that introduced even more new things and characters. its a kdrama that if allowed to I would want to go on for many a more seasons.
the king: eternal monarch - the first and only kdrama I saw of the famous Lee Minho, but as expected I enjoyed it a ton. The concept of being from two different worlds where the past became modern in one and modern was...well- modern was new and interesting, also confusing at first but you could tell me a simple instruction and i'll sit there for 15 minutes going "what?"...im saying that im stupid basically lol. Also it had horses..if you want me to love you just show me an animal and ill be coming to your door everyday.
Doona! - a new kdrama, it was...okay at the least. Had similar concept to sh**ting stars with one of the leads being famous and the other not so famous. It had a good story but felt so rushed and I mean can I blame them? it didn't even have the standard of 16 episodes...
Doom at your service - No why did it have to make me cry every episode? not because it was bad but because it was so GOOD! A kdrama of a romance built on tragedies and fate is the best way I can describe this kdrama, from character development to story it was truly a spectacle to watch.
Tale of The Nine Tailed - the day my Lee Dong Wook obsession started LOL, loved this kdrama and although I hadn't watched Goblin I could tell it has a somewhat similar concept to it, maybe im wrong and thats on me lol. Still, the story was amazing and had a few plot twists that had me going "what!?".
My Demon - Probably the most popular kdrama of 2023 and was talked about constantly. The drama felt really good at the beginning, was smooth sailing then became a little boring but picked back up in the last few episodes. Two of the characters in particular annoyed me, especially when I had a feeling that the male lead saw her more as a sibling or daughter then as a potential lover and never reciprocated the same feelings and the same felt for the second male lead, to me they both felt more as a family then of anything more and it just felt weird and offput me.
the bride of habaek - my first ever kdrama, not amazing but not down right bad. It didn't feel necessarily too unique and didn't hold much special to it. Its not something I would rewatch but for a first drama it gave me a feel at least to the world I was stepping into.
Please recommend dramas from sites that are available in the UK! I have access to Netflix but I dont have any subscription for other sites so other then Netflix, non-subscription sites are preffered.
I am looking for dramas with lots of corporate and / or family drama. Makjang, revenge, corporate schemes… all the delicious drama.
No noona relationships or historical dramas please.
Dramas similar to what I’m looking for that I’ve seen:
Whisper, Life, and Graceful Family: I’m looking for something like these with the lies and arguing and betrayals over ownership and control of a company.
And/or
Eve, Money Flower and Show Window The Queens House: Getting revenge by destroying their company, family, and life elements are also perfect.
All dramas I’ve watched: Born Again, Business Proposal, Crash Landing On You, Doom at Your Service, Fated To Love You, Goblin, Greatest Love, Healer, Her Private Life, King The Land, My Demon, My Liberation Notes, Perfect Marriage Revenge, Prison Playbook, Shooting Stars, Squid Game, Stranger 1 & 2, Vincenzo and Secretary Kim
Thank you in advance for any recommendations!
So guys I have been watching k dramas for a good long time now and I can definitely say that I am fan of sweet lovey dovey moments, fantastic story, a lot I mean a lot of comedy and a fun romance also I am also interested in the story .I don't care if it's supernatural or fantasy Also I don't want to get too emotional or too sad MUCH also I don't wanna feel bad for characters much . I just want to get entertained that's all . Also I don't want a dramas to clique and straightforward.
Can u guys recommend me these types of shows, I don't care about which platform it's from . I pls do recommend the dramas which have good name I mean popular . I think most of the times underrated dramas are not that good
I really love no gain no love I can say that after lovely runner this was the only drama that got me engaged .
The k dramas everyone liked but I couldn't watch it . So pls don't suggest them
Love next door : ik it is famous but I couldn't get through it
Alchemy of souls : I will try again but not now Cloy : I will try it later just not now Queen of tears.
And the k dramas I watched and liked are
No gain no love Business proposal Sweet home King eternal monarch Goblin 18 again Happiness Mr queen Korean odssey Home town cha cha cha King the land Signal Killer paradox. It's ok not to be okay Vincenzo Lovely runner All of us are dead Geoungsoung creature Missing the other side.
I'm looking for romantic K-dramas where the female lead is clingy, bold, and dominant, steering the relationship. I'm especially interested in recommendations that break away from typical K-drama clichés.
Here are some examples I've enjoyed:
The FL was not only bold and clingy, but also actively guided the relationship. I really appreciated the age gap dynamic, along with the stunning cinematography and incredible soundtracks.
I loved how Doona took charge of their realtionship, Even after being rejected, she stuck by him , boldly initiating their first kiss.
I liked how in both dramas they were comfortable being direct. and the FL visuals in both series got me hooked.
Here are the dramas i watched and rated : https://m.imdb.com/user/ur187143417/ratings/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk
I was catching up on Dear Hyeri and I just can't take it anymore so I have decided to drop it at ep10. I wanted to watch something good because I got a break after a long time.
Please suggest me some light dramas, I can handle emotions but it should not be entirely melo, like stretching across many episodes. I just need my com with the rom and melo and for people to communicate and heal. I don't mind if the plot is not focused mainly on romance. Ones I think that is in this category are Run On (It has emotions and they heal from it rather than glossing over the toxic stuff), judge from hell, happiness, her private life, CLOY, Go Back Couple etc.

I've been watching a LOT of Cdramas recently, more than KDramas, and the ones I liked the most recently had this characteristic, it all started after I watched the Kdrama Descendants of the Sun, after I went looking for similar dramas I found several Cdramas like that, I simply fell in love <3, I just wanted to know if there is more kdramas like this that isn't Descendants of the Sun and Crash Landing? It can me Cdramas too, since I am watching a lot of them recently.
I know I've watched most of the best-known dramas in this genre, but I refuse to believe that there aren't more dramas as good as this that I haven't watched yet, please, I need to watch something where the male lead has one of these professions or similar to this, that has action, drama, romance but also some scenes that make me laugh to relax.
Preferably if you can recommend me dramas with at least some of the characteristics I mention, I'll be extremely happy: She falls first, he falls harder, ML saving FL more than once in the drama (I love when this happen); Scenes where ML or FL gets hurt; Cold male lead who softens over time; Good secondary couple; Some bromance between the male lead and a close friend of him; Scenes of rescue; Some natural disaster happening at some point of the drama.
All the K/Cdramas I watched below that fit these recommendations and the ones I liked the most:
• Descendants of The Sun - A masterpiece, it's in my top 5.
• Crash Landing On You - I love it too
• Arsenal Military Academy - I LOVED this one
• Bright Eyes in the Dark - I liked a lot this one too, but the last 10 eps ruined a little the drama for me, could be better.
• A Date With The Future - It's just PERFECT, one of my favourites of this list, the male lead, the female lead, their chemistry, oh so many things.
• Fireworks of my Heart - I liked this one but it's not my favourite one of the list, there was better dramas.
• Love like the galaxy - I think it fits the category too since the male lead is some kind of general/have a high position in the army, I really loved this one too.
• You are my hero - I loved this one too.
• My dear guardian - A good one too.
My full watchlist of Kdramas (and also Cdramas too): Leeh's Drama List - MyDramaList
I recently watched Hometown cha cha cha and really loved it. I'm looking for recommendations of similar dramas which have a great lead pair with awesome chemistry. I really loved the slow burn chemistry between the leads from EP 1. I do not like a ML who is domineering and the chaebol type. Also the plot should be light hearted and with lots of romance and cute moments.
I have watched It's ok to not be ok, Dr Slump, Lovely Runner and have loved them all. Here is my MDL list - https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/13270830
Anything with 9/10 rating means I loved them. 8 is good but less than 8 is just average.
Currently suffering from anxiety and low self esteem so I would love a highly rated drama that will inspire me to continue persevering
Examples of KDrama(s) that I have watched that inspires me:
My Mister: Talks about the joys and struggles of life. Very wholesome.
Death's Game: That we should cherish life

Would appreciate any other recommendations. Thank you.
I’m looking for a drama where the ml is rich/successful but wasn’t born with a silver spoon. Basically his path to success had to be filled with hardships. If he was born into a wealthy family than he should have not received any help from them (he was disowned etc)
I don’t mind if it has little to no romance. Any genre is acceptable, but more serious tone is preferred
I like Melancholia. The personality of the ml and his chemistry with the fl.
I did not like Vincenzo. The tone is too upbeat/comedic for my liking.
Refer to my dramalist
So who has a completely stress free, non confrontational drama to recommend me? I'm watching 'What comes after love' right now and it's so stressful I have paused more than watched. I need something soo mellow, like Touch your heart or Gaus electronics. Really in a weird place where I can't take any adversity. Please help!
Hello, I’d like recommendations of dramas with no romance or poor romance(there are some kinds that I still like that will list at the end) and with female lead or major if possible. The few and (complete list) of dramas that I watched are: 1.the penthouse 2.my name 3.the glory 3. juvenile justice (j drama: alice in borderland) 5.all of us are dead 6.squid game 7.miss night and day The three dramas with romance that I liked are : 1.mary my husband 2.true beauty 2.it's okay to not be okay. I like the comedy, revenge and dark theme of these 3. No drama dropped
Edit: Can everyone give me their top 3 romance drama as well please. Or their MDL, I am starving for new Kdrama. I am close to pulling to plug and watching Twinkling Watermelon, which I am saving for a Kdrama slump.
I am looking for:

Thank you to everyone who posted on my last thread, I have already tried most of the suggestions, I got into some and others I watched 1-2 episode of until I decided I would watch them later. I like to have one binge worthy show going at all times and 1-2 other shows I watch. So some shows have been relegated to watch at a different point.
I'm fairly new to KDrama and I finished 2521 the other day, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It reminded me a lot of Reply 1988, my favourite series so far.
It was really wholesome, and ended on a quite poignant, bitter-sweet note, which I'm not usually a fan of, but it was well done in this show imo.
I've noticed something about KDramas that draws you into the characters and lets you be part of their friend group, feeling their emotions, which I haven't experienced with western shows, or even anime, and I'm really enjoying that aspect.
Looking for more wholesome romance shows that have 2521 and R88 vibes, any recommendations? (Here's my list)
Thanks in advance!
I watched CLOY not expecting much as I usually only watch A24/thriller movies so this was my first k-drama but i was absolutely HOOKED and got so emotionally invested that I ended up crying during most of the last episodes and it really stuck with me up until now. The only thing that had bothered me is that in the beginning i didn’t find Yoon Se-Ri likeable the first few episodes but that changed as she went through some character developement and her backstory got revealed.
After that I watched the first 4 episodes of The Kings Affection but lost interest. I like the main character but I just don’t sympathize with her love interest and the rest of the characters, maybe I quit too early though. Same thing with It’s okay to not be okay and Descendants of the sun. I just don’t find the characters as funny and charming and the chemistry doesn’t compare.
I would love to watch another K-Drama that actually makes me feel something for the characters so let me know if i judged the previously mentioned dramas too early and please give me recommendations :) Preferrably something on Netflix that gets you hooked after one or two episodes max. Thanks!
edit: just in case so noone gets mad, I tried to pick the best ones to watch so far so I’m in no way saying that these aren’t amazing dramas! My standards were just incredibly high because of how cute I thought Yon Se-Ri and captain Ri were together. I’ll give all 3 another try.
I've tried watching a few k-dramas before, but nothing has had my eyes glued to the TV like, 'Her Private Life". It was soo good 😭. I loved the enemies to lovers/fake relationship/boss and employee tropes that it had.
The thing is I haven't found a single k-drama that I have liked since. Let me tell you I've tried😭. Would anyone have any recommendations? It doesn't have to be exactly like 'Her Private Life' or have the same tropes. Also I realized that I can't do high school or teen love anymore. I'd prefer the characters to be older. I need something that will give me butterflies 😭😭
Edit:
The list of shows I've tried watching since but haven't been able to get into are:
Love alarm hate to love you Run on Come and hug me
Didn't finish none of them.
I just finished rewatching taxi driver, and I'm looking for satisfying revenge dramas with little to no romance. If the series has romance that's ok as long as I can skip it.
Series that I have watched and enjoyed:
- Taxi Driver - my favorite revenge drama because of how satisfying the revenge is. I especially enjoy that the revenge is quick, I don't have to wait thru 20 episodes of the victim being tortured just for the last episode to have revenge.
- The Glory - my second favorite revenge drama. I loved everything about it.
- Marriage My Husband - really good and satisfying, i skipped most of the romance but that's ok cause I didn't lose any context for the major plot line
- Perfect Marriage Revenge - same notes as MMH, loved it and skipped the romance parts. I liked MMH over PMR but they're both really good
- Mine - can you tell I like chaebol stories? Not high on my list of favorites, but I still enjoyed it. Especially the lesbian character. I really loved her character development and storyline.
- Queenmaker - this one reminded me of the glory and mine, i really love seeing revenge against chaebols
- celebrity - i love series that have a strong female cast. one of my favorite kdramas. I watched it 4 times already
- little women - same notes as above. it isn;t one of my favorites though because the 3 sisters were very frustrating to watch in the first half of the kdrama
honorary mention: extracurricular. the main female character was very annoying so that's why it isn't one of my favorites. but i did enjoy the show/plot.
Series I started but stopped watching because i didn't enjoy it:
- my name - too slow, and for some reason I didn't connect with the characters. Maybe because I wasn't a big fan of the acting...
- vincenzo - i watched about half of this kdrama. I didn't like the romance between vincenzo and the main female lawyer. it felt forced for some reason? I also couldn't really connect with the characters so i wasn't a big fan of this drama. I wasn't able to finish it, but i tried
- penthouse - I'm 2 episodes in, which doesnt seem like a lot but those episodes are almost 1.5 hours each. The reason I stopped this drama was because it was too hard to watch the rich people win all the time. Is this one of those kdramas where the bad guys always win until like the last episode? I stopped watching it cuz it was too depressing seeing the bad guys win all the time. Let me know if I should revisit. Maybe i stopped prematurely.
- itaewon class - got halfway thru but i couldn't finish it because the main female character (i think her name is yiseo?) was irritating me so much. I did not like her at all and it was difficult for me to skip her scenes so i just stopped watching all together
Hi everyone! i'm looking for some romance kdramas with deep emotional connection and love between the leads. their relationship should convey an intense, mutual love, where the two leads would go to any lengths to stay together or protect each other. like that kinda love where you cant live without the other person.
i also want to see a separation between the two lovers (at some point), but not due to a trivial issue, which leads them to pine for each other with genuine pain and longing. The story should show how empty and incomplete their lives feel without each other, making their reunion meaningful and very emotional (if there is a reunion)
here are a few shows that shows this matches my idea well and i REALLY enjoyed (in order of my rankings)
here are some of my dislikes:
heres my mdl list https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/eaten09
thank you guys!!! also, im not someone who's too good at conveying my emotions and my wants. please let me know if there's anything that's unclear about this post, and i would love to clarify!!
Hello! I just finished Hotel del Luna today and need a palate cleanser. I kinda went into it blind so I didn't know I would be crying from start to finish. Now, I have the post-kdrama blues.
So basically, I'm looking for something that is not much of a tearjerker and has a good plot and story writing. It may or may not have romance in it. The important thing is that I get to rest my heart from the feels (if you get what I mean). Also, it’s a plus if the lead is good-looking 😂
For reference, after I watched Lovely Runner, my palate cleanser was Night Has Come. And after Hierarchy, my palate cleanser was The Killing Vote.
Here's my MDL profile for other shows I've seen.
Thanks in advance! 🫶🏻
Hi everyone! I’m looking for some intriguing dramas that resonate with my top favorites. Here are my favorite dramas and why I love them:
I’m open to all kinds of genres, so feel free to suggest anything. I’m especially interested in dramas with a similar vibe to those mentioned, where the twists surprise me, acting is top-notch and there’s a strong exchange of dialogue.
Here's what I've watched for so far:
Flower of Evil, Mouse, Beyond Evil, My Name, Moon Embracing The Sun, Dong Yi, Mr. Sunshine, Six Flying Dragons, My Country, Queen Maker, The Worst of Evil, Death's Game
Thanks in advance for your recommendations!
Edit: From the recommendations, I've also watched: Healer, Misaeng, It's Okay, That's Love Because Its My First Life, Crash landing on You, My Dearest, Moving, Glory, My Mister, Signal, While You Were Sleeping, My Love From the Star, World of the Married, Skycastle, Alchemy of Souls, Revenant, Lovely Runner, Extraordinary You, Vigilante, The Good Bad Mother, Save Me, Mouse, Big Mouth, Reborn Rich, The Light in Your Eyes, Mr. Queen, It's Okay to Not Be Okay, The Golden Spoon, 100 Days My Prince, New Country, Tomorrow.
Now that I listed them down, I feel like I've already watched pretty much everything. But if you recommend anything else I haven't watched yet, please let me know. Thank you so much!
Hello; I am looking for dramas where the female lead is shy and reserved while the male lead is more outgoing and fun to be around and is more likely to take first steps. I'm not a big fan of the mysterious ML and haven't stumbd upon that many dramas with this type of dynamic.
This is what I have watched so far:
Thank you in advance.
I’d love to hear which dramas you’ve enjoyed that have had emotionally mature FLs who are very no-nonsense and independent but can still be vulnerable and silly. I’ve found that I have a particular distaste for female characters that are supposed to be cute but instead come off as whiny and bratty, which unfortunately seems to be somewhat commonplace in K-dramas. Probably a big reason I don’t watch many high school dramas, though that setting doesn’t necessarily preclude a mature, or at least enjoyable, FL. There was an earlier poster who had a similar request but didn’t want romance recs. I’m open to any genre.
Examples of dramas with mature FLs that I’ve loved are:
Crash Landing On You
Love to Hate You
Queen of Tears
Flower of Evil
Shooting Stars
Business Proposal
A Time Called You
Here’s my full watch history:
A Time Called You
Bad and Crazy
Beyond Evil
Blind
Business Proposal
Crash Landing on You
Destined With You
Extraordinary Attorney Woo
Fight For My Way
Flower of Evil
Goblin
Healer
Hotel Del Luna
I Am Not A Robot
It’s Okay to Not Be Okay
Itaewon Class
King Eternal Monarch
King’s Affection
Lawless Lawyer
Love Next Door
Love To Hate You
Lovely Runner
Moon Lovers
Mr. Queen
Queen of Tears
See You In My 19th Life
Shooting Stars
The K2
Tomorrow
Vincenzo
Weightlifting Fairy Kim Book Joo
What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim
Thanks!
Any recommendations? 🥹 Something that is realistic and romantic. Plus! With happy ending because I don’t want spending my time finishing 16 eps only to get hurt like in Scarlet Heart and A Time Called You :) as a traumatized viewer.
I just finished the series One Spring Night and wow!! I think it’s one of those dramas that I did not skip any scene! It was very calming and REALISTIC! Characters were simple and VERYYYYY ROMANTIC 🥹🥹 No CEOs, no large sum of money involved, no sickness or rare diseases 😆
Thinking of Something in the Rain but I saw the comments already from other threads. So discouraging 😹
So far, I haven’t watched any kdrama of the same genre. I have seen dramas about time travel (Lovely Runner, ATCY, 18 again) and magical theme (Goblin, Legend of the Blue Sea), and with the CEOs (CLOY, Queen of Tears). Also, more are medical kdrama (Hospital Playlist, Dr. Romantic) so I am looking forward to a realistic romantic genre as of this moment.
PS. Loving Jung Hae In more from Love Next Door to OSN.
I’m partial to the historical dramas, but also a good love story so I’m open to more modern ones too. I think I’m looking for a good drama with some mystery or twists and turns and depth like UTQU was for me. I’d like to see a historical drama with a strong FL. Love story is optional. I don’t want to see another show where FL spends the majority of the show disguised as a man such as KA and CTK for now- I need a break from a disguise storyline. I like a strong villain too- the Queen Dowager in UTQU was absolutely evil which made it such an amazing triumph for the FL when she was defeated. Same with the evil twin sister in TTFIL - she was so terrible it made it better when the good guys won in the end. I love a happy ending.

So, I kinda have a problem. I need to choose my 160 drama to watch and I want it to be fluffy and nice and I am just not sure what to watch.
What I look for:
* At least half of the series happens in university or later in life.
* 100% happy ending.
* Some angst is fine if the whole series is positive overall.
* Some toxicity is fine if the toxic guy is villain or shown in humorous light (like Secretary Kim).
* FML should be independent and strong.
* Big plus for strong friendship.
* Big plus for supportive parents.
* Plot shouldn't be "stupid", but I am fine with some loose ends.
* Should happen in modern times. (Fantasy elements are fine)
* Ideal if it was shot after 2020.
* Leads and drama shouldn't tolerate cheating.
On the other hand, I don't care about "chemistry" and "actors play". Also absolutely fine if it's full of cliches. Also open to Chinese and Japanese and Thai dramas.

I think I know about most dramas with rating over 8 so I really need some hidden gems. Good examples of shows I totally enjoyed despite low rating are A Good Day to Be a Dog and Lovestruck in the City.
Hi, I recently watched Welcome to Samdal ri and loved the friendship of the group. I am looking for similar shows that show great friendship along with comedy and romance.
Shows similar to what I want:
Welcome to Samdal-ri: loved the friendship and how the whole town came together to help the FL.
Hometown cha cha cha: loved the small town community and ML.
Business proposal: loved the friendship and couples.
Twinkling Watermelon: I liked the whole band activity and fun they had as a group.
Mainly the series where the whole show is not only about main leads but also explore support leads story as well. And it should have happy ending.
What I don't want is too much negativity and trauma or as people say Ktrauma. I am fine with the level of sadness shown in Welcome to Samdal ri but the show should be overall fun.
Here's my MDL.
Hi there! I’m looking for a romance K-drama where the main characters are in their 30s—it can also be a slice of life. I’m new to K-dramas, so I haven’t watched too many yet. Here’s what I’ve seen over the past three months:
I enjoyed the last four series on this list the most, so I’d love any similar recommendations! Thank you!
