Best karaoke speaker?

Looking to buy a karaoke speaker with two microphones 🎤

Any recommendations for something that doesn’t cost heaps but is still good quality?

Would love it to connect to the tv so we can see lyrics.

Thanks!

Karaoke DJs how do you manage your queues? What rules do you enforce to keep things fair?

Asking for a DJ friend who currently has a permanent rotation (sign up once when you get there and you’re set for the evening) that she uses to keep track of everyone. At a certain point in the evening, she will start the list over (regardless of how far down we are) and then integrate 2 new singers between every repeat singer. This works for some, but lately we’ve had a lot of stacking (bob sings with Betty then Betty turns around and sings a song with Ted, etc) and a lot of people/regulars who claim they’re being skipped. This has led to a couple of our more outspoken regulars to reduce the poor DJ to tears in their berating of it.

My friend just wants to make karaoke fair and fun for everyone where those who sign up get a turn and those who get there at the start and sit there for the full 3-3.5 hours through the whole thing get a chance to have another turn.

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated on how we could tweak the sign up/rules to keep everything fair.

Thank you in advance!!!

Karaoke choice

I’m going to a bachelorette party where we will all be dressed as a Jim Carrey character, I will be The Riddler. If The Riddler were to sing karaoke, what song would he sing?

Been listening to these all day. I want to make him famous somehow, but I have no social media clout. He has been doing this since we were in highschool over 20 years ago.

Is competitive karaoke an actual thing?

Or is it just something done in movies, TV, and other entertainment and occasionally at a local non-specialist venue like a general bar and bowling alley (which I personally seen)?

What makes a karaoke lounge (esp Japanes style ones) worth visiting over local bars, bowling alleys, and restaurants with karaoke systems?

There's a local karaoke lounge that copies a typical one in Japan where I live, about 11 minute drive from my home. I frequently bowl so a good share of my karaoke time is done at the alley. Usually I meet with friends at restaurants that have karaoke nights. And right beside my house, there is a bar with a karaoke machine and TV in place with some stereo speakers that takes less than 3 minutes to relax walk to. When I'm in the mood to sing but am not going bowling or meeting with friends, thats my default location. So I ask what does a karaoke lounge offer over other places that commonly have their own machines in place? Why I ask this is because in Japan despite the ubiquity of karaoke, people still meet up at karaoke lounges and other specialized places even though athe high school you go to has a system in place and you can go to your run-of-the-mill bar and so many other general public establishments have them. Even in South Korea and Hong Kong lounges have enough customers to be profitable to hae their own sectionin phone books. So is it worth the half hour drive back and forte to visit a lounge for to get my empty orchestra fix? To drive there after bowling practise or take friends there after a meal rather than using the alley's and restaurant's setup systems? Any particular reason not to just to sprint to the bar within a few seconds? Is it worth the above $30 rental charge over buying a bottle of cheap booze for $8.99 next door?
