Kamloops is a city in the interior of British Columbia Canada. Kamloops is home to roughly 100,000 people and is where the Thompson rivers meet.
Over 86,000 people in Kamloops and there isn't a reddit for it, well now there is.
This Reddit is just a baby, let the mod know if there is anything you would like to see here.

I was with my dad the other day picking up a christmas tree. Once we got back to his place we were taking out the tree and one of his neighbors (he lives in a gated community in aberdeen) let his dog out. The dog started to chase after a car and looked like it was going to be hit. My dad and I started whistling at it trying to get it's attention. The dog turned to look at us and ran towards me. I just thought it would jump up on me and wag it's tail like every other dog I've ever interacted with but to my surprise, I lunged at me and bit me on the leg about 3 times and ended up biting my boot 4-5 times. The dog tore my jeans and ended up giving me a contusion. Luckily for me, my father is a retired physician so I was able to get proper medical attention and advice right on the scene.
The question I have is, what sort of action should I take? I'm not sure what I'm allowed to do or what I should do in this situation. I'm not even sure who would take care of issues like this.
Any advice would be appreciated.
I see a few shops offer custom built PC services in Kamloops. For decades I used a-power.com based in Richmond, while living in Greater Vancouver.
I want a PC Workstation for personal, typical office use: spreadsheets, etc. No interest in gaming or photo-editing. Who would you recommend?
Any reputable sellers of refurbished laptops in town?
I work nights on the north shore and every Saturday/Sunday I see people on the bus heading to downtown with Ski’s and Snowboards. Is there a shuttle that takes you to Harper Mountain? This is only my second winter in Kamloops and after looking up their prices I’d definitely be interested. TIA!

I'm struggling a bit with christmas gifts this year. Gift cards usually go well. What are some great businesses that are owned and operated locally that have gift cards?
We're going to be in Kamloops over Xmas. Are there any restaurants open Christmas day?
Does anywhere in town sell individual electronic parts?
I need a handful of capacitors and don't feel like waiting a week.
I found this place, but I'm not sure what they have on hand.
My friend really likes trying different teas and stuff and I was just wondering if there's a place that just sells different kinds? I know there's grocery stores and stuff but I was wanting something different!!
EDIT: Car has been found ditched on Holt Street. Haven't seen vehicle yet but police say it seems in reasonably good condition aside from broken window and ignition. All items inside have been stolen though.
I was parked at the little pull out at Km 7 of the Tranquille gravel road last night. Since the weather has been pretty mild I decided to camp down at the creek last night. When I hiked up to my car this morning I found it gone. Someone had smashed the window and hotwired it. My vehicle is a green 1998 Toyota Rav 4.
Also, oddly, when I had just arrived to find my car missing, a black SUV pulled up with two occupants. They seemed very suspicious. When I started looking towards the car and they noticed me, the passenger said "GO GO GO" and they took off down the road heading North. I wasn't able to get a plate number but I think it was a 2010s Chevrolet Equinox, or a similar looking make and model. It had a black sticker with white text on the bottom right of the rear window. The passenger had curly hair and a yellow-beige skeezy gangster style baseball cap on, you know the kind I'm talking about.
Any help or tips would be super appreciated.
Looking for someone who can make a clean, modern site that works well and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
If you’ve worked with anyone local who did a great job, let me know! Would rather keep it local if I can.
Appreciate it!
Does anybody know of any winter shuttles to Harper? Thanks!
Hello everyone. I am looking for a place to rent in Kamloops. I have a general idea about Kamloops neighbourhoods from reading all the posts here, but of course not everything. I am considering a rental here on Victoria St W. From some of the posts I understand Victoria St W can be sketchy with a lot of homeless people but not sure if this location has that issue. Please kindly let me know. Thanks a lot.
As the title suggests, I am wondering how much an hour you need to make as a single person to live in Kamloops. Personally I have an vehicle payment and insurance which is (in Manitoba) about $700-750/month with gas and personal stuff monthly is about an extra $150 without Internet.
Prices I'm looking for are average pet (cat) friendly rental cost, what the average utilities might cost for a rental if it is not included, internet cost, car insurance, or anything else that might be useful to know like how much tax is taken off paychecks. Thank you in advance
Oh another thing I'm wondering is if anyone has suggestions of where to work Healthcare wise. I have a 6-year background in long term care as a certified healthcare aid in Manitoba. I will be able to get the BC care aide no problem. I know working in healthcare can be pretty cutthroat so I would like to hear experiences or suggestions of where to work or not to work. Thanks again!
Can anyone recommend? Had a terrible experience with my last sitter. We didn’t align as far as training and discipline go, she was very old school and I prefer positive reinforcement etc.
Any help would be appreciated:)
Want a custom pc but don't know how to build, prebuilts not up to your standard or are to expensive for the performance you get, looking for some desk eye candy. Hit me up!
I've built lots of PCs for myself and family. Looking to expand my hobby into a small side hustle.
You pay parts and shipping and a small $200 fee for my time and knowledge. You then receive a custom PC built to your needs with an activated version of windows 11 home or pro.
Shoot me a message with what you're looking for and we can discuss options.
Build fee of $200 will rise as this service gets more popular. Turnaround time when parts arrive is typically an evening, maybe 2 as I do have a full time job also.

I see the holiday train will be here next week.
Are there any local activities put on before hand in the Sandman Parking lot? In Port moody they used to setup hot chocolate and Santa photos and stuff before hand.
I haven't found anything listed for the Kamloops event? Do a lot of people show up for the train?
