Welcome to r/justdependathings, a space for sharing the best of the entitlement some spouses. While mainly attributed to military spouses, we welcome dependa memes from all walks of life!

Met my husband out of boot camp got married he finished his time we moved back home blah blah. Been married 5 years. I’m taking college classes and we had to give speeches. It was a zoom thing. My husband was sitting out frame as an audience member for the assignment. One girl spoke about how she was in the airforce with her husband a lot. At the end people comment and ask questions. My husband didn’t react to any other speech but seemed to find what she was sharing cool. I said my husband really enjoyed your speech because he was in the marine corps. She kinda laughed and I forgot what was said.
Now my social anxiety is like oh god that was probably so corny and dependa of me to work in “my husband was a marine 🤓” 🤦♀️ I just get excited when I meet other people who got married young because of the military. It’s not common where I live anymore and not many people my age relate.
I work for a freight company.
For REAL!
Email from the local VA job website. First thing I thought of was this sub.
I was responding to a woman who was freaking out about being prosecuted for fraudulently claiming her EX-husband’s benefits for 3 years after their divorce.
Apparently this group is pro-Dependa. I was not asked by anyone, and the term is not outdated; as evidenced by the entitled woman thinking her “faithfulness to the service” meant she could steal our tax dollars.
I think the admin might be a Dependa.
Benefits and Backshots for life 🫡🍆💦
The military person referenced is in basic training in between his junior and senior years of high school. She's throwing the first pitch in "his honor." He's still alive, getting his toes wet.
5 wives wore this to a military ball and not one thought, hm maybe not.
