I haven't listened to it yet but I heard it's not as *metal* as their next albums
I'm starting to get into Judas priest and for me this album is a decent 8 but I dont know how it compares to Painkiller and Invincible Shield
I know people either love or hate the Nostradamus album (I personally love it), but the title track is so good. I feel like it's a classic, archetypal Priest song-lyrics about a character (e.g. Exciter, Sinner, Grinder, Tyrant, and so many more); the guitar work is all over their history-I hear riffs and chords that remind me of stuff on Firepower, riffs evocative of Sad Wings and Stained Class material, and even SfV and Turbo; and the vocal stylings do the same. Anyone else agree with this or am I hearing what I want to hear? \m/
The band has released several videos of their invincible shield tour and they really sound great. I was wondering if they planned on releasing it anytime soon because I haven’t heard anything. I heard some people say that the band might not want to release anything without Glenn Tipton involved, which I understand, but this is the current incarnation of the band and deserves to be documented
I went through the show to see Sabaton last night, but really liked Judas priest's set. Does anyone know the titles of all the songs they played so I can make a playlist?
I attended the Judas Priest show in Irving, TX at the Toyota Music Factory on 10/26 (last night). As soon as I got to my car, realized I had lost my driver’s license and likely at the venue itself. Everything else I had on me had been accounted for, just my license missing. Ran back to the venue and they would not let me in to search or have anyone do a thorough search as everything had already been “closed up” for the night and the cleaning crew already got started. All per the employee I spoke to. She told me to come back the next day. So today, I called with no answer. I drove over there at 10 AM, was able to get to an employee outside who called someone inside the venue to look into it with no turn up. Was then told to come back tomorrow since the “admin” would be there. Seems I’m out of luck and not sure where to turn. I don’t want to speak badly on the employees as losing the license is my fault but I don’t feel like I’m being helped at all here or taken seriously. It’d be nice to know if someone who attended the show found it and was planning on mailing it so I’m creating this post in hopes to get into contact with someone who knows or could help in any way. My name is Abigail and I’m a young female if that helps narrow it down without giving out too much at this point. Priest was a fantastic show and I’d hate for my own slip up to completely overshadow the experience.
Edit: if it helps to know, I was section 101 towards the front, facing the stage on the right hand side. If anyone happens to remember me at all, I had longer dark hair, white, 5’3”, early 20s, female. If anyone has any advice on how to boost this, I’m more than happy to hear!
I had never listened to much Priest before, but I blindly bought Stained Class a few years back after reading on the internet that it's a metal classic.
And wow the opening track is great! Powerful vocals, great guitar work, great drumming, etc.
My favorite part is that first guitar solo. I love how it lazily shrieks for a bit, then absolutely shreds.
But pretty much everything about the track is 10/10 and it gets me pumped every time I hear it.
Is anyone else mildly disappointed by the setlist on this leg of the tour? I feel like they haven't really dug deep with any songs on the set. It was awesome how many deep cuts they added on the Firepower tour with Take These Chains, Out in the Cold and Killing Machine. Would love to hear them throw in Solar Angels or Stained Class just to change it up.
They've played Riding on the Wind, Saints in Hell, Love Bites and Rapid Fire a ton lately. As much as I love them, we've heard a lot of them consistently the past 3 tours.
I would have thought they would have changed the set on the 2nd leg of the IS tour with a few different variations like they did for Firepower. Thoughts?
I attended the concert yesterday. The show was cool and energetic, and the performance was solid. However, I felt terrible for Rob because the sound crew really messed up the audio. I was sitting pretty close to the stage (Section 105, front seats, about 20 yards away), but I could barely hear any of the words being sung. But I am sure that he was trying his best to deliver the best he could. Huge disappointment.
I wonder if something is wrong with my ears, or am I not the only one who thinks like this?
So the scorpions will be playing in Hannover with Judas priest, i dont know how many songs judas priest is going to play or or if all members will be present.Judas priest was mentioned to be a special guest. I am not a big scorpions fan. Should i still attend the concert just for judas priest?
