$200 Wes evaluation has made me doubt if I would even accept JHU if I got an admit. I already have an admit from NEU for MS in Biotechnology. I applied to JHU for MS Biotechnology with the concentration of Regenerative and Stem cell technology.

I found this on reddit, and all the comments say that NEU is much better than JHU. Is it a well known fact?
My future goals are to work in the healthcare industry. Maybe even do a PhD later in the future.
Hey guys I applied ed 1 but I dont think I’m gonna get in. I need some support just in case lol
My son is a JHU football recruit, who's likely to commit soon with an admission guarantee in ED2.
The tour we took was given by severely of the injured players, so we got a very unofficial look around the campus earlier this fall. It was only after that tour that we learned about the new student center that's currently under construction and set to open next year.
The articles we've read make the student center sound really cool and that it will add a lot to campus, but I'd really like to hear what thoughts some current students have about the new student center, if you don't mind.
I have submitted my JHU application for the MS in Biotechnology program.
How should I proceed with the "course-by-course evaluation"?
Do they require official transcripts to be sent to JHU for the initial review process as well? I have attached a scanned PDF of my transcripts to the application.
I have already sent the TOEFL scores, so that part is sorted.
Hi I am an online student getting my masters through JHU. My last semester is summer 25 and I didn't know if there was a commencement ceremony for students in the fall or would I have to wait until spring 2026 to walk?
I graduated from GT in 2020 so I couldn't walk which is why I care about the ceremony and celebration
Are the people here ravens fans saying that jhu is in baltimore. just curious
i am a graduate student in the Carey business East Harbour campus. The transloc app sucks, its gives me a pick up time in an hour ! I am trying to use local abuse, I read its free ?
I live on St Paul and 24th, there is a bus station next to me. is this free? do I need to show my ID or how does it work ?
I uploaded my relevant document in the "Additional Questions" section, but there has been no response for over a week.
Do i have to submit my application first?
thanks
If you got accepted, what does your educational history look like and what was your GRE score?
This will actually be my first time at campus, I’m online EP student but will be near Baltimore for other reasons tomorrow.
Do I need anything other than my RSVP to enter? Can I bring my spouse?
Bonus points if anyone knows if the ice rink will be around this year, I saw it mentioned in prior ones but not this event posting.
Tia!
Hi all, I’m exploring options for a Master’s degree in Business Analytics or an MBA that includes courses related to Artificial Intelligence. I’m based in Fairfax, Northern Virginia, and currently considering the Master’s in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence program at Johns Hopkins University’s Carey Business School.
https://carey.jhu.edu/programs/master-science-programs/ms-business-analytics-artificial-intelligence
The tuition fee is $89K, which feels quite steep, especially for a one-year program that’s not an MBA.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences. Thanks in advance!
I have applied to JHU as an ED applicant. I was wondering if the financial aid package for ED applicants get released at the same time with offer (hard to get one but just hoping for the best to get an offer)?
I recently received an admit for an MS in Material Science and Engineering for Spring 2025. I’ve requested a tuition waiver, and the engineering department mentioned they would discuss it next week with the concerned person. This is one of my dream school but I am very confused right now. As an international student, I have the visa process to complete, and with classes starting in the last week of January, I’m concerned about the timing. Should I wait and hope for the waiver decision ? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
Bro it just set in theres no way I am getting accepted... there's the med school at least ig
Has anyone taken a class with Yannick Sire? I don't think he's taught Honors Linear Algebra before, but I can't find much about him and I'm planning on taking Honors Linear Algebra next semester. I'm curious what I should expect, if anyone does have experience with him.
Is EPFL well-known here? Are there many exchange students and graduate researchers from EPFL conducting their studies here?
Currently a first year MS Physics student at an R1 institute. Also working as a grad researcher. if anyone knows any APL internships for grad students do let me know!
hi guys! i self reported my sat score on the common app and then applied ed to jhu. however, i was looking at my application pdf today and i saw that my sat score isn't on it? the other test scores i submitted, like my ap's, are on it but the sat isn't. i know for a fact that i reported it on the common app and chose the consider with testing option! even my jhu portal says that i chose consider with testing.
what does this mean? does this mean they didn't actually receive my sat score? should i email them?
To public health upperclassman, I was wondering what the difference between the courses of sociology of health and illness and introduction to social and behavioral determinants of health.
Wich one of the classes would you say is easier, or more interesting?
What topics do they cover, they sound pretty similar so I wanted to know if there were any big differences.
Would you recommend one over the other? Does one of them have a professor that people really like?
I would like to inquire about the offer time of the major of 24fall from which month to which month, and the offer in May is a supplementary record?
For those who applied ED 1 to JHU, have y'all received an IDOC request to submit additional tax forms and such? Does not receiving a link indicate rejection?

I am a past student trying to transfer my course credits. I have tried reaching out to the professors for the syllabi, but haven't gotten a response yet. And the school had transitioned from blackboard to canvas, so I cannot access my old records.
Any idea how I can find an old copy of a syllabi or a new one (cause I'm all out of options) for these courses? To save myself time and thousands of dollars!!
Hi,
I just get admitted to Johns Hopskins University to student AI as Graduate Student.
Could you guys tell me when will I receive newly admitted student package in my mailbox?
Thanks,
Hey everyone.
I heard of this Mastars of Arts i Public Health Biology. Any thoughts about it?
I have considering going for this for the masters and I need some comments from anyone listed in it about the program and how good is it, acceptance difficlty, and the professors in general.
Where the best parties @? What classes do I avoid? Where do I avoid? Best place to eat? Gym free? How bad is grade deflation? Should I live on campus all 4 years or nah? Where to get pre-med internships and shadowing? Are campus labs any good or should I go out of campus? Where to go for medical emergencies? Parking space or ride bike? Anything else that matters in quality of life?
I've taken all of my notes for this class using Goodnotes on my iPad, but when I went to study today for the exam in 2 days, they were gone! I've tried contacting Goodnotes support, but they just said that they'll "get back to me." I've tried checking in my icloud, but they aren't there either :*(. Does ANYONE have notes from opti 1 that I could borrow? I'm so stressed out from this
I’ll be staying directly next to UMMC and using the shuttle from Peabody to get to JHH, it’s a 9 min walk. Is it gonna be safe for me to walk? If not what would be a better alternative? Thank you
I'm currently an admitted student set to begin my master's at JHU in the spring. I'm looking to move sometime around Easter so I can skip the cold weather (I'm a full blooded Floridian). I was wondering which roads around campus are safe and have cool cafes or amenities within a mile via walking. Are there communities that I should flat out avoid due to pest or crime issues? I read up on an r/jhu post from around 4 months ago but didn't quite find the answers I was looking for.
Ideally, I'll find a single bedroom apartment or studio within 20-30 minutes walking to the Homewood campus - closer is always better. I can't afford much past $1600/mo in rent - utilities are already budgeted assuming I'm not forced into variable unit prices for water/sewage and electricity. Moreover, I don't want to live someplace with serious pest issues (rats and such, I can deal with a roach from time to time). I feel like most of these criteria can be met using common sense, but please share housing experiences if you feel inclined to do so.
I've been looking for spaces using the campus affiliated housing site and found apartments that I love, but I have no context. I like apartments on streets like Calvert St, St. Paul St, Howard St, and Fox St to name a few. I can use street view and explore, but I don't exactly get a sense of the vibes. That being said, I'm not completely against finding roommates but I'd prefer having my own space.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hey guys I am looking for an apartment in January 2025 near the homewood campus walking distance or at least near the transit. My budget would be near $800 - $900 not more than that (maybe little more would be fine don't know?) But please let me know.
