I bought a 2014 Yamaha VXR to replace my old 2 stroke this year and want to double check everything for winterizing it. Fill the gas tank up and stabilize it, run antifreeze through while running the jetski, fog the cylinders, and then remove the battery and put it on a tender. Then in spring I'll change the oil and replace the spark plugs. Is there anything I'm missing or should change?
Hi, I am looking at used jet skis and trying to figure out when each manufacturer went to “maintenance free” superchargers or away from the regularly scheduled super chargers rebuilds every 100 to 200 hours? Any help?
Please explain to me how to polish a jet ski from start to finish. What products and tools will I need. Thank you very much.
I have a 2023 Yamaha FX SVHO, and I’m ready to get it put up for winter. I have about 3/4 tank full of fuel.
How exactly should I go about winterizing it? Any fuel stabilizer recriminations? Should I hook the battery up to a trickle charger?
First jet ski so I appreciate the help!
Location is Dallas
Thank you in advance!
My stx 12f only goes to 5500 rpm. The compression test has all the cylinders at 150-175 and number 3 spark plug looks brand new like it never fired. Could the compression numbers be the issue?
I bought an aftermarket impellar due to budget reason and it didn't come the impellar boot. Ive done a bit of research and found that it is mainly to keep the marine greese so it doesn't rust. I bought the captain impellar and I'm not sure if I was to buy a normal OEM Sea-Doo boot whether it would fit into it.
The old impellar I had the actual boot screwed into the impellar itself.
Would I be right to use it for this weekend till I can source a boot for it?
Thanks guys
Hey everyone newbie here. I was left a Yamaha fx cruiser sho in a will so asking questions about the ski is out of the question. I have the manual but it doesn’t explain the key fob that well.
Here is my question.
The green unlock light is lit on the dash. does it go off when unlocked or since it’s lit does that mean it’s unlocked. Unfortunately I didn’t get the key fob to try this out. But it’s on order as well as the programmer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Herzlichen Dank schon mal.
Hi, can someone help me and tell me how I can flush the Virage 800 or where the flush connection is? I can't find anything. It has two drain outlets about 17.5 mm in diameter and an outlet above the machine for when driving without a thread.
Maybe someone can help, that would be great. Thank you very much in advance.
2003 Yamaha xlt800. I bought it already converted to premix, but did not know that at the time. I see some people running 32:1 and 40:1. Which ratio should I use?
What are possible problems that can happen with 787 on long distance?
What is the most range you would go on a 96 or 97 SPX? (Someone could tow me bu it would be an inconvenience).
I have put one of those cheap 50-cc engines on a bike so im familiar with engines. I've gone 12 mile trips when people recommend only doing 4 miles or so but youtubers go on 25 mile rides. (I realize this is not a great reference. I just wanted to include that I have experience fixing 2-strokes on the side of the road with simple repairs suck as spark plug change, while on those long rides.)
I've seen videos of people going on 180 mile trips on skis with later 4 stroke models.
I found these gloves after realizing I needed something closer to divers wear for the cold temperatures when I go riding to checkout jetskis. I have been using them for over 4 years and realized the other day when I dropped one in the water that they also float, so I didn't lose the one I dropped. They are extremely comfortable, easy to put on and take off, they help prevent blisters with aggressive grips, and they help you keep a good grip when holding onto the ski. Here is a link to where you can buy your set today, believe me you won't regret it, I love mine! Be sure to check the size chart for the best fit.

Hi everyone, I was looking to buy a 90hp jetski to keep on my boat. Does anybody have a model recommendation? I had my eye on a Sea-doo Spark (2 seats), but I've read there's better alternatives. What do you think it's the best one for me to buy?
