Hello! I’ve been searching for a long time but have yet to find any live recordings of Booker playing “African Gumbo” or “Lah Tee Tah” from the Lost Paramount Tapes, would anyone be able to help ?

Whoa. Just Found This.

Thought about JCB, and had a wild hair to search for him here. Won't bore anyone w the details, but he kind of saved my life in 2012. I tripped over him while free associating through YouTube, where I saw God perform Papa Was a Rascal. Reading about him inspired me to get clean, because had he lived, he would be the undisputed godfather of NOLA piano.

And his pain. So deeply relatable. Damn, I wish he had lived, but I guess he was too rare and sensitive for this world.
