Hi there I’m 27, non-binary, male presenting. I’ll dance with anyone :)
I have always been super into salsa, swing, tango, all the really beautiful couples dances. The lack of lessons in the area has driven me to try and look for someone else also willing to invest some time in trying to get better at these.
I was thinking we could find a room at the Y and just go over some lessons online. Anyone else??
Working near Jackson for the next few months and will need to purchase some workwear along the way as my clothing wears out fast in the field. Anywhere I can buy workwear in/near Jackson-preferably secondhand for cost friendliness?
Doing some field work out in Jackson for a few months coming soon and will need to get some workwear along the way as my clothing wears out fast in the field. Anyone know of somwhere that sells second hand workwear?
I will be interviewing at a hospital in your city in the coming weeks. The interview should finish by 3:15 and is 20 min from the airport. I have a flight out at 4:30. Is that cutting it too close? Is TSA usually long? I have to return a rental car too 😬
I think I already know the answer🫠 but feel better just asking anyway. Thanks
Looking for reviews on private schools in Jackson and the surrounding areas. Needs to be K-12 so kids stay at the same school.
Hey. I will be moving to Jackson, MS, after grad school ! I landed a pretty solid job and now I’m on the hunt for a nice place to rent.
I’m looking for houses or apartments in Jackson or nearby areas, with a budget of $1300–$1700/month (might stretch a bit if it’s worth it). Any recommendations for good neighborhoods or specific places to check out? Bonus points if it’s safe and has a good vibe!
Appreciate any tips or suggestions—thanks in advance!
What are your favorite places in the Jackson metro area for thrifting? Looking mainly for home decor, kinck knacks, cool stuff in general etc
I used to live in Dallas and left like Lyft was more popular/safer. What are y’all’s experiences/opinions of Lyft and Uber in Jackson?
I’m staying downtown, for reference. Would love a place I could walk to…
I’ve recently bought a pair of fire irons that I was told came from this foundry. They do have the name Harper on them. Any history in the company is greatly appreciated!!!
What homebrewing resources are there? I searched and only found a store that closed in 2020. Is there anything?
I'm driving through MS right now, I'm on I-20 West and I feel like these roads are going to damage my car. What's going on?
Taking out the 🚮 tomorrow 💙🤍
I am very familiar with Strawberry Park and it looks like they have sufficient lighting for walking/jogging at night. Madison is a pretty safe area too and the park is right up against suburban homes, not any places for an attacker or such to hide.
Does anyone enjoy going to Strawberry Park at night? Would you recommend it? I am craving a jog outside after work today. Thanks!
25 male , I’ll be visiting Jackson MS for 2 weeks in a work trip. What is there to do? Any good restaurants?
Are there any black owned businesses in Rankin County??
What the question said. Lol
Hi people of Jackson! I moved here not too long ago and have been looking for a place in/near Jackson that has pho! Any spots that you know of? I crave it like once a week and have yet to have it since moving so I’m willing to drive outside of Jackson if I have to. It doesn’t seem like there are any options with a quick google search so I figured someone on here might know a spot.
My friend wants to recreate this photoshoot for her birthday. Does anyone know where I could find spiral staircases anywhere near Jackson?
In search of a bar for the younger crowd
Also how is the speak easy bar ?
With Daylight Savings Time having happened and me working a 8:30 to 4:30 schedule, and me spending the whole day at my desk in the office, I was wondering if there are any places besides Winners Circle Park in Flowood or Ridgeland that are brightly lit at night and safe to jog around. I hate going from the office straight to the gym, I’m still in an enclosed space and staring at an electronic screen after having spent 8 hours having just done that. I work in Flowood near the Amerigo there and my place is just north of Northpark Mall so a number of parks on the way home, just need to know which ones are safe to be at night. Thanks!
Just wanted to share this here since Jackson is kinda one of the closest 'large' cities.
I created /r/NatchezMS sub for anyone who is into Natchez or Adams County stuffs. The old /r/natchez sub has been dead for a year and is set to restricted so no one can even comment or post there + the only single mod hasnt had any activity on reddit for a 1.5 years.
Feel free to join/sub!
Hey everyone, I’ve posted on here before and got plenty of comments about a run club meeting in the fondren area on Thursdays. If anyone is apart of the group or has more info it’d be greatly appreciated!
