Hellenic Black Metal
I've seen contradictory things about them and don't know for sure.
I know they signed sketchy artists like Angelcorpse and Revenge, but I’ve also seen they had Dark Funeral, Behemoth and Rotting Christ.
Randomly clicked a full-length they put out knowing nothing about them for background music & now I'm curious. Is the runic use another Pagan example, or..? His youtube is @ vindur_art . Uses the unicode life and death runes in descriptions but context always matters. Nazis don't own that shit. Lyrics are all about grief and melancholy. Nothing about racism or fascism.
Used copilot to translate from here. Only pasting summaries for each for anyone who doesn't speak Swedish (I don't):
1.The lyrics convey a sense of melancholy and farewells, capturing a moment of parting and the emotional weight that comes with it.
2.The lyrics weave a narrative of eternal rest and the hope for reunion with a loved one in the afterlife, contrasted with the solitude and sorrow of the present. The imagery of resting in the grave, waiting for celestial events, and the anticipation of rising again evoke a powerful sense of melancholy and spiritual yearning.
3.The lyrics paint a vivid and emotional picture of a funeral or memorial scene, reflecting on the passage of life and the finality of death. They express a deep sense of sorrow and the solemn act of honoring the deceased. The imagery of snow, ravens, and the fallen veil conveys a haunting yet beautiful atmosphere.
4.The lyrics evoke a somber and evocative imagery of an underwater grave, untouched by fire or ink, where the dead rest in silence. The mention of the rudderless boat and the memorial grove of bones adds to the melancholic and ethereal atmosphere. It's a reflection on death and the peaceful rest that follows, far removed from the world's noise and chaos.
7.The lyrics depict a tender, intimate moment between a caregiver and a person at the end of their life. There's a sense of peace and acceptance intertwined with the sadness of parting. The narrator reflects on the journey of life, the memories, and the ultimate release into the afterlife, all while grappling with their own emotions and sense of helplessness. It's a beautiful, albeit somber, meditation on life, death, and the hope for a better place beyond.

Vocals are a tad bit too loud for my taste but I really like the vocal style here. (Never been a fan of the whole Popeye vocals. I like when they're saturated like they are here sounds more like harsh wind with a bit of reverb on top.) 2nd song is nice.
But I can just not fuck with 'em if they're sketch. This one just seems to have a lot of depth going on and the lyrics seem fine. I'm beyond sick of corny halloween themes. The cosplay aesthetic is so dumb to me in this genre. I like stuff about nature, personal stuff, or totally fictional themes. Anyways. That's all. Peace.
I mainly just wanna know
What transgressions we got lay it on me
Couldn‘t find anything sketch on their past bands, also they are not signed to any label. Any help is appreciated! Thanks a lot!
I had a bit of a look online can’t particularly find anything sketch or of concern. Metal archives haven’t got their themes of music up there yet
I know that this might be a little obvious, but i have no idea. and The message kind of makes sense for black metal? Didnt make a huge research when it comes to their lyrics, but i feel that they might be a little weird.
Can somebody give me a run down on this guy. On one hand he has collaborated with straight up Nazi’s (Goatmoon, a guy from Aktion T4, Antichrist Kramer) but he has also realeased splits with Man is the Bastard/Bastard Noise. Is he just an edgelord who likes flirting with fascists or is he out and out fascist himself?
Curious to know if either of these are sketch. Can't really find much on them. Thanks
Really dig them so far, but I want to make sure I'm not supporting artists who promote white supremacy or fascism of any kind. I don't understand the language, but I know that white supremacists and fascists have historically and notoriously clung to and appropriated Norse culture and neo-Paganism. Any insight is appreciated. Thank you for your help!
Curious if anyone else has any insights on this band. Was excited to see them come out with a new album after 16 years but they recently announced they'd be playing a festival called Metal Threat. From looking at the headliners and doing a bit of Googling on the fest's history, it is extremely yikes.
At the minimum, it seems like they don't mind sharing a stage with Nazis, but can't figure out if it goes any deeper than that.
Didn't find anything sketchy but I found a video of niklas from Shining promoting a show of theirs which I find kinda concerning
I didn‘t find anything sketchy about either of them but you never know
Found these guys through “Similar Artists” on Apple Music. So far all I know is they have members who were in Mavorim who are signed by sketchy label Purity Through Fire. Anything more I should worry about through these guys and should I worry about the latter connection??
Hello, hi. Found this band and really like their riffs n bass but it's worrisome given they use an iron cross.
Ofc that doesn't necessarily mean anything, looking at motörhead and a lot of SHARP oi bands, but still could mean they are sketch
This time I researched it first but I found nothing
They were recently dropped from Roadburn because of sketchy allegations. Roadburn themselves wrote a comment on their Facebook (linked post) something that I interpret as it being mere allegations from Roadburns point of view.
One commenter translated some of their lyrics (they are in dutch), which indeed looks sketch. The lyrics are not published by the band anywhere online though, which makes it hard to fact check. The band has not released a statement themselves on the matter either.
Does anyone have any insight?
Question is in the title. Nothign directly offensive that I've seen but def some spidey sense tingling from both...
I'm a Bathory fan and I'm shocked to hear that. I tried looking for it online and couldn't find it. What has he said exactly?
Been listening to this group for years, the band members has been anonymous and they commonly use hebrew letters and phrases so I haven't had any bad feelings.
However, today I noticed that someone recently updated one of the members past bands on Metal Archives with the worst shit bands I've seen.
Is this edit correct or is someone trying to sabotage?
Something about? It's a dungeon synth project from Kazakhstan.
French atmospheric / melodic black metal. First research said they're okay but I want to be sure.
