Anyone know what the male choir is saying in the intro of Sign of the Cross? Sounds like they're saying "What a douche". Maybe the band snuck a jab at Steve into the record lol
It didn’t pan out, but years later they eventually recorded the album entirely themselves, but each song paid tribute to one of the bands who was going to be on it. “White Christmas” is done in Iron Maiden’s style; you can really hear it!
When I think of some of iron maidens best songs, I often think of their epics: Rime of the ancient mariner, phantom of the opera etc. Does hallowed fall into the category of an epic? Just something I was curious what people thought about it
What’s your favourite album cover? Mine is Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. I remember being a kid on my dad’s computer and seeing his records/cds, being so captivated by this album cover and never knowing why. Still feel the same. Awesome cover
This song is nothing short of perfection. We see Bruce at some of his best vocal work yet. Not only is it unique from other Maiden tracks but it hits the heart more than any of them. Not to mention the guitar work is amazing. Iron Maiden has many great songs, but this one would have to be the best in my opinion. I would say this song and even album is underrated.
This album is also nothing short of amazing from the start. It is not only the most emotional Iron Maiden, but Bruce Dickinson's vocals shine in this album even more than in The Number Of The Beast, which is widely regarded as their best album. This album has everything from the incredible emotional ballad "Wasting Love" that will move you to chills to "Be Quick Or Be Dead," which will have you ready to jump out of bed and fight. The guitar work by Dave Murray and Janick Gers is also some of the best in Maiden History. Most notable in "Fear Of The Dark," in my opinion. Nicko McBrain on drums and Steve Harris on Bass were also great. One of the best albums in Heavy Metal history! It's also the best Maiden album in my opinon.
I’m looking for Iron Maiden songs that are more personal and introspective. I really love Wasted Years, do they have any other songs like that? Songs that are less about history or abstract concepts and more about a personal journey?
As the title say do yall think Nicko will returned for album even after he retired
Made in CAD
Personally I think it would be cool if they reused something like they had in the early days, like a debut album version eddie blowing smoke behind the drum kit
Lets be honest here, this is Iron Maidens two best albums the critique is unjustified
With the recent news that Nicko is stepping away, I've been on a Maiden kick again after some time away. Funnily enough, this has given me a newfound appreciation for Clive Burr; not to say that I didn't love his playing already, but man... he's got this sense of swing that's sorely missed from the albums after NOTB. I'm currently obsessed with "Twilight Zone." What are your favorite Clive tracks?
What is Bruce wearing??
