Mailboxes smashed overnight

If you live in the Rosedale area you might want to check your mailbox.

And if you're on Salford street or surrounds and you're number 98 have a look down from the shops for your mailbox. Looks like someone had a bit of fun at others expense. SMDH

Research Participants Needed - Views towards using AI for Mental Health Support

Kia ora!

I am a Master of Health Psychology student at the Victoria University of Wellington. For my thesis, I am doing research on the opportunities and challenges that AI tools may bring into mental healthcare. As part of my recruitment strategy I am using social media and NZ-based forums to reach young adults from all over Aotearoa, which includes those from the Invercargill and Southland regions.

If you are between 18-35 years old and live in New Zealand, I would love for you to fill out the survey below about your views on using Generative AI tools to support your mental wellbeing, and whether this is something you have tried doing (using things like ChatGPT, CoPilot, Claude, etc). For instance, this could be for seeking information, creating personalised wellbeing plans, entertainment, or getting personal advice. This is completely anonymous, and should take 5-10 minutes to complete. As a thank you for your time, you can go in the draw to win one of fifteen $50 Prezzee vouchers.

Survey Link: https://vuw.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6ssrakwHXu8JG50

Please note that this research is NOT endorsing using AI tools as a replacement to in-person therapy or human connection. If you are struggling with your mental wellbeing please reach out to a professional or trusted person 🩵 I have also linked support resources in the information sheet.

Let me know if you have any questions, otherwise ngā mihi nui, and take care!

This research has been approved by the Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington Human Ethics Committee (HE000158).

[Moderators, I have sent through documentation for proof of research ethics approval. Also please remove if not allowed]

Invercargill dentists?

Just moved here a few months ago and I'm due for an annual check up and hygienist appointment. I've tried booking with every dentist in invercargill but everyone's books are closed. A few places told me to try lumino Gore, but I've called them multiple times with no answer and tried contacting them through their website with no reply. What do people down here do when they need a check up?? Take a whole day off to go to Queenstown?

AUDI/VW mechanical experts southland

Good day everyone.

Im trying to research the waters of Southland in regards to availability of expert mechanical automotive services of european vehicles such as VW/AUDI group, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and other mostly premium european manufacturers.

Does anyone have experiences with particular mechanic service centre to be reccommended for demanding and sophisticated jobs done precisely by enthusiasts who exactly know what theyre doing - jobs related to engine- EGR, DPF, chains, decarb etc, transmission rinse, fluid change, air suspension repairs etc etc.

OR even you might know of someone who has knowledge where to access such services ? (southland or even otago)

Me coming from overseas used to get car jobs done on every corner, feeling not certain with contemporary european cars specially down here (hoping im wrong),

question about accessing a 100% reliable service is a point holding me from purchasing a standard european vehicle 2nd hand, as as an owner, i dont want to be struggling to find proper crucial maintenance help.

Maybe someone here knows people being into european cars - who know where to get good care for their flagships...

Thank you for any ideas in advance

How far is Ascot Park Hotel from the city centre? If I were to stay at the hotel how easy would it be to buy food supplies and take them back to said hotel on foot?

Thank you in advance to all the helpful reeditors.
