I’m on my third rewatch of the series, and I always think about how Naraku’s major flaw in his plan was making Sesshomaru his enemy. It was such an unnecessary route to take in his plan that ultimately led to his downfall. Sesshomaru is like the only character in the anime who is powerful enough to find no purpose in acquiring the sacred jewel. If Naraku had avoided making him an enemy, he would’ve likely won.
Hi everyone, I'm not feeling good, and I'm having an artist block. I don't know what to draw specifically. If you have any idea on something for me to draw, that would be nice.
Hello,
I am a writer and I am working on a fanfiction, but I am stumped on if Inuyasha uses a futon Specifically in episode 17 while they are in the mansion. We see Miroku use a futon, but never see Inuyasha use one. So does he or does he always sleep sitting upright?
I gotta say, I’m glad they made it but damn. Feels rushed as hell. Villain of the week format.
I read around a bit, they made 25 episodes out of maybe 100 chapters?
I grew up on this. Every time the show would end on them in the mountain then start all over. I knew about the final act but only now am I watching it.
Like Hitomiko just appears out of nowhere and she’s gone the same episode. There’s almost no build up for magatsuhi and naraku. One episode he’s already talking to him and got each others trust. You’d think they’d start with naraku hearing faint whispers at first and go from there. There was more but I’m on episode 21 now and can’t remember it all. Oh, the original user of meido zangetsuha, also appears one episode and is gone same day lol just like that…. But I imagine the manga might’ve expanded a bit
Honestly this just makes me want to pick up the manga. Which I think is great.
I've read a fic called Auburn Strands and Red Threads by Juri_DP, a Inuyasha and Bleach crossover with Orihime x Inuyasha.
Cute and really good fic, which got me craving for more fics of Inuyasha being paired with someone else in a crossover.
Do you guys know any fics??
saw rumiko on her official twitter retweeted this but no idea what it is

Its not Evil spirits
I've started reading the Spanish manga that is now being printed in Argentina again, and in chapter 1 it shows Kagome in Tokyo in the year 1996. However, the english version I found online says it's 1997. Any ideas why?
If it was 1996, then she was born in 1981, meaning my sister is exactly the same age as Kagome... 😮
They also mirrored the English version to adapt it to western reading style... the edition printed here in Spanish has the original, right-to-left reading style which is really neat. I'm of course purchasing the 30 volumes as they come out, and reviewing it alongside the anime to compare them in detail. Of course the anime has much higher level of comic relief, which I personally find very entertaining. (It's not that I agree with Kagome's abuse of the osuwari spell, which I know it's a delicate subject around here).
So I'm doing a project on the first volume of Inuyasha and comparing the localization differences between the English edition and the Japanese one. I have a few points already (like onomatapia and such) but sadly I can't access find a digital version of the Japanese anywhere and my partner has the physical copy right now.
Does anyone know any more major or really just interesting differences between the two in terms of dialogue differences or any things they might have changed in the art? Maybe words they exchanged for others with different meanings? No stress if not :)
After any characters from Inuyasha? Just curious
ALSO if no one hasn’t, if you could what name would you choose and why?
OAN: HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2024!
At least once I've seen criticism that sometimes his companions are too side-lined in battles, but also, he's literally a half-demon?
I mean, think about it.
If Inuyasha gets disemboweled, he can heal from that. Sure, it will suck for him, but it will take a lot for him to actually stay down. Meanwhile, if Kagome, Miroku or Sango suffered grievous injuries, they'd probably not survive. Meanwhile Shippo, the only full demon, is just a little child, and fox yokai aren't that powerful to begin with.
So, in normal situations, yes, it does kind of suck that it's the MC that gets all the glory for no reason, but it's kind of logical than Inuyasha would take the heat whenever possible.
What do you guys think, though?
My magnum opus....
While she’s also known for Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2, but they’re more like a build up that reached her highest peak despite not being on par with it, but I do wanna your take of how Inuyasha became so popular. I think one of Rumiko’s success is how she mostly reflects a deep appreciation for storytelling traditions, and her most notable series felt like (to me at the least) a Japanese take of the western-style narrative structures by simply taking them into another setting, especially from literature.
That welcomed new fans, including those who weren’t too familiar with anime and manga until later cause its storytelling feels universal as a gaping bridge between East and West, and I think Rumiko was - most likely unintentionally - really good at synthesizing possible inspirations that she might not thought of while making them into something that feels both unique and universally appealing.
As an example, I would argue that Inuyasha shares some common grounds with C.S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia, particularly in the way it bridges two distinct worlds (modern Japan and the fantasy feudal era). I think it evokes much of the parallels with the books, especially in its dual-world setup.
The feudal era of Japan acts as a portal to a realm that is packed with fantasy, danger, and moral dilemmas, much like Narnia that is to the Pevensie kids, and the only obvious difference that it’s a fictional country in a fictional world, inspired by the medieval era, fairy tales, Greek Mythology, the landscapes of Ireland, and Abrahamic religions. Rumiko’s use of Kagome as an ordinary modern girl who becomes a central figure in a fantasy world of an actual era at the same country mirrors the way Lewis’ characters are thrust into roles that tests their role and character.
As for anything else, the good versus evil trope and the internal growth of characters might resonate with Inuyasha like when some grapple with their own inner struggles.
And rin was supposed to be their first child until they had some of their own. That’s it, that’s the post. DYIN ON DIS HILL
UPDATE: I just used to watch inuyasha with my friends from the 5/6th grade and decided to re watch since I always wondered what happened.. when I left off years ago they were still fighting with the band of seven.. re watching everything from start to finish at a older age just blew me away.. so on this thanksgiving eve I just had an opinion.. and I’m grateful for the Reddit community ✨🤝✨
Like she did that last time during the fights with Goshinki and Sesshomaru and it worked like a charm so why didn’t she try it again? Like not even think about trying it? Seems like a giant plot hole to me 🤷♀️
It’s from episode 109 in the recap. Even the wiki doesn’t mention it 🥲 If somebody knows how it’s called, please let me know!
Why does it feel like Inuyasha is such an underrated anime?!! Like, I feel like the fanbase is so specific to people who are nostalgic about it and it’s so hard to find people who love it as much as we all do lol. It’s even hard to locate merch and what not. I just don’t understand why it’s so underrated?!?
Currently doing a rewatch for the millionth time and couldn’t stop laughing at Inuyasha’s reaction! I hope you guys are spending this time with those you love (if you celebrate).
This also reminds me of a post someone did a few days ago from the final act where Kagome called Sesshomaru her older brother and I was dyingggg from the looks they gave her.
Any other cute family scenes between Inuyasha and Sesshomaru?
Hello everyone, Brand new to anime/Manga world of things and started with Inuyasha. Binged the whole series on Netflix and was left wanting more to the ending...?
I have read that picking up on the Manga after might be to different? And then the 4 movies on youtube?? Plus the yashahime series of the kids?
Is there something I can watch next that completes the Naraku defeated/circle that happened?
Idk if he does get defeated, just hoping so! Lol
Thanks in advance!
Photo of my small collector beginnings ✨️
That sometimes inuyasah just says “fuck the tessaiga” and decideds to throw fucking Hay makers instead
(Just finished the series on Netflix, are the movies worth a watch?)
Pardon my shitty drawing, going through an art block, smh😓😓
