Has anyone played the Inuyasha game, “Secret of the cursed mask”. It’s one of my favorite JRPG’s. One of the reasons I’m so impressed by it is, even if you arnt a fan of the series/manga, it does such an amazing job of introducing the characters and plot that you can go in completely blind and still enjoy it.
The biggest problem I have with it is the, “Wild areas” basically feel like walking in tall grass of a Pokémon game. Meaning you can encounter a fight, finish it, walk 5 steps, and encounter another fight. Which could be annoying. Other than that? The characters, the voice acting, the gameplay, the world building are top tier.
Like previously stated, when it comes to JRPG’s? I personally think it’s the best. With it maybe tied with Persona 4 Golden.
What are your thoughts?
Obviously we couldn't have Moneca Stori back unfortunately, though I think Luci Christian would of have done a good job. Kagome is kinda like Chidori from Full Metal Panic
Thoughts? Other actors?
Many people attribute Inuyasha running after Kikyo every chance he gets to him being a undecided two timing bastard but after rewatching episode 47-48, the one where Kikyo stumbles on Inuyasha after the giant red soul catcher steal her souls, i started to think that maybe there's something a little deeper in this whole situation. In this episode (and really most of them that feature the two discussing their relationship) Inuyasha acts so unreasonably and lost that it's almost hard to watch. He has so much pain in his voice when he says that he's the only one who can save her from Naraku and is acting so desperate that even Kikyo is kinda of shocked. He doesn't seem to be able to grasp the fact that the woman he's seeing is just a cheap imitation of hers that has no future and probably would only live long enough to see Naraku's defeat. Later on he's saying crazy things like he would die if Kikyo asked him to and that the whole Naraku plot was his fault and that he let her die, which is not true by any stretch of the imagination. That might make sense if she died because he lost a Battle or something but he feeling guilty because of some trap no one could've seen coming is just crazy, his mind is all over the place. The realization that the love he shared with Kikyo was real and she never had any plans to betray him sent him into a guilt ridden downward emotional spiral. In this episode Inuyasha's trauma and survivors guilt are in full display and he feels as lost and disoriented as ever. To make matters worse his friends not only don't seem to be able to help him through this they don't even seem able to grasp what the real problem might be, brushing it off as him being a indecided jerk, but I think in this case they might have let him down by not taking a minute to consider another reason for the way he acts in the whole situation, which is understandable given that they're just a bunch of teenagers and not trained psychologists. We the audience and the cast all like Kagome a lot and the POV we get from her in the episode is kinda of heart wrenching, which worsens the case against Inuyasha as we're conditioned to automatically stand against anything that would harm her, even if it is Inuyasha. I know some people might jot this whole text down as me making excuses for a immature jerk who's not being considerate of the feelings of a girl who's very dedicated to him and to who he should be just as dedicated to, which might have a element of this in the situation, but I think it might not be so simple and clear cut as one might think and if this aspect of the love triangle was better explored it wouldn't have felt so stale and repetitive as it did.
everyone has either guessed that I’m sailor moon or started screaming CHRISSY WAKE UP at me LOL
I'm trying to find this character, but my memory fails me. The man with a really creepy but handsome scarred face, with a soul cannon that can shoot powerful beams replacing his left arm. He also takes care of like children and they look up to him. (i think it's around vol 36-42, and i think he is one of narakus incarnations or atleast involved, i can't remember exactly) I read this years ago in the manga, but can't find the characters name lol.
Anybody knows?
The bottom text will come off as cheesy but hey, it’s just for a bit of fun.
I remember back in 2012 when I was 12 years old, going into my pre-teen years, getting into anime and to like extend my horizons with it outside of Pokémon and what not.
One time, I remember watching a clip from I believe it was the second Inuyasha movie and it was the scene where Kagome and Sango were bathing, my pre-teen self was no surprise blown away and I saw more of her bathing scenes which had me in utter awe, especially the one from Episode 3.
And a bit of a deep cut for Inuyasha fans and fans of Rumiko Takahashi, I even saw the bathing scene of the 1985 Fire Tripper OVA (the prototype to Inuyasha) which was stunning to see.
So, my taste for both real and fictional women definitely developed thanks to that and other animes that I would eventually venture into, LOL.
But of course, when I eventually got around to watching the anime properly back in April 2021 (the day of my 21st birthday,) I’ve come to appreciate the more serious aspects of the series but still maintain that playful crush on Kagome for nostalgia sake.
Healed about 2 years now.
Obviously there not finished yet 🤣 but this pair is for myself sence they have flaws
I really love my new Shikon jewel tattoo and wanted to share it. I like idea of getting another one in the future. Do you have any Inu tattoos that you would like to show off?
(Also, the daffodils are just a personal choice lol)
I would give an example but tbh I can’t really think of any opinions that are unpopular 😭 but I’m curious what other unpopular or “controversial” people think to see if I disagree or not
When kaō said inuyasha lost the woman he loved the most in the world (I mean Kikyo), (he meant loved on purpose loved in the past) he was in love with her in the past, he does love her but it is no longer romantic love and he is not in love with her, he loves and is in love with Kagome. Love doesn't have to be only romantic love, there is a difference between "I love you" (present-tense "love) and I loved you" (past-tense "loved") And he meant he was in love with her and loved her in their past together, before he met Kagome
Of course it's meant to make him feel guilty, but he meant that the woman he loved the most in the world in the past. dead and some people don't know the difference between loved and love, for example - he loved her once in the past but now he loves someone else
When I'm on social media and come across most popular/well liked anime protagonists lists and discussions The Little Demon Dog is hardly ever mentioned and mostly people think about Inuyasha more as the anime as a whole than specifically about it's titular character. Sesshomaru seems to be way more popular as a character because of his character design (arguably the best in the whole show) and his too cool for school atitude that's more appealing for most people than the well meaning neurotic hot headed nature of Inuyasha. I for one think that the focus of the show in relationships and organic character growth instead of fighting and getting stronger to become the best at something despite being my favorite aspect of the show and what makes it stand out from most other shonen animes in my opinion, might take away from the appeal Inuyasha could have as a more traditional shonen protagonist making his good deeds though out the show go a bit unappreciated. Despite his flaws and reluctantancy at the beginning he's always willing to put himself in harm's way to protect others without never backing down even when the odds are stacked against him and he's always willing to talk things out with his enemies to try to solve conflicts in a peaceful way, even showing concern for the life and well being of his ops most of the time. For all his Hot headness Inuyasha is very forgiving and problem solving oriented when it comes to fighting.
Title says it all. I think it looks really cool and I was wondering if that outfit / animal somehow has a deeper meaning or underlying symbol to it as Naraku is otherwise 99% of the time associated with the spider, so I was wondering what the deal (if any) is with the baboon outfit or if the author just picked it cause it looked cool...which it does.
He's so mysterious, intimidating, and ominous but then later he just becomes an eldritch sexy man :(
Tried something a bit different to what I'm used to, what do u guys think?
My girlfriend had the idea of organizing the manga by the colors and not by the chronological numbers. While I think it looks beautiful it kinda seems like blasphemy 😅
What do you think?
Volumes 17 & 18 are on the way!
