[NUC] NUC11PA 在设备管理器中显示错误“UCM-UCSI ACPI 设备” | 官方支持 | ASUS 中国
Looks the solution for similar problem on NUC11PA is update BIOS, but my NUC13VYK is using the latest 0029 BIOS.
I've dusted off the cobwebs of my trusted NUC 8 Home (NUC8i3CYSM).
And while the device aged acceptable well, the same can't be said about the online support resources for it. It seems that neither Intel nor ASUS is offering any kind of BIOS update downloads for that particular model.
After some further research I figured out that the most recent BIOS version is 0054 from mid of 2022. But no matter what I tried (Google, Internet Archive, you name it), I could not find any working download.
Does anybody has one of the following files to share?
Thanks in advance for any valuable hints.
Hey all,
Looking to move the components from the NUC12 Extreme I have to a new case. I saw the Cooler Master NC100 case which looks promising, but I'm wondering if anything else is out there. I've done some looking around and haven't found anything. It doesn't need to be SFF, just needs the board for the element and be able to fit a full-length GPU. I have a 3060 in my unit right now but would love the option to upgrade, and I'm slightly in need of something with more VRAM. Main reasons for the move are heat and GPU size limitations.
If the NC100 is the only viable option, does anyone have recommendations for a beefier card that fits the case? I've seen some say that a 3080/4070 could potentially fit and found some of those options online. Just curious what others have tried.
Background: This unit was gifted to me and it runs great for basically everything I do (gaming, photoshop, UE5). I see some lag and performance drops which seem to be due to the 3060 and the other components cooking a bit. Adjusted fan settings to bring heat down but this obviously makes it sound like a jet taking off, so it would be nice to get something with more airflow and the ability to have better fans.
Thanks!
Hi all- new to PC building and I’m taking a stab at building one with my son. I am buying a NUC11BTMi9 / extreme kit and am having trouble ascertaining which components are compatible- does anyone have suggestions? Thank you for any insight.
Hello! I work at a computer store and helping one of our business customers with migrating over to NUC units for the machines and having trouble sourcing some parts.
Using the ASUS/Intel NUC 13 pro
1)an external power button- The MSI Cubi has one and unsure if theres anything remotely similar for the NUC
-we have attempted to add our own wires and run them as a "jumper" but the actual connection on the wires is too tall and the case will not fully close down on the NUC pro mdoel NUC13ANK
3)Does modifying the case (cutting some of the air vent fins to route a wire void warranty?
so i have a nuc5cpyh which i currently use to run debian . i installed debian desktop environment but mostly use it as a server. not sure if theres a way to deactivate the desktop environment temporarily while im using it as a server to save resources
i wanna turn this into something like a mini nas where it has more hdd. is there anything i should buy? and how dangerous would it be to do those lol.
right now im thinking of hosting my documents( havent decided which app to use) and maybe jellyfin and my development environment (nodes and python)
if i were to upgrade in terms of speed but want to also maybe if possible retain a low power consumption what nuc would be ideal one to buy.
So I'm looking at small pics to do light to medium gaming. I saw people can use these to micropcs to game on. I just wanted to know how good the arena canyon is
Hi all
I've got a boxnuc7i7bnkq, NUC i7, running a proxmox server with only Home Assistant on it for now.
I'm wondering if anyone has the same issue with the fans as I do:
The fan blows a lot. It's almost silent, then every 20 seconds, it starts and runs for maybe 6-10 seconds, then silent for 10-15 secs, then runs again etc... It's constant. I hear it all the time, to a point it's annoying because all I can hear in my living room is the thing :) I had Home Assistant running on a Pi and the fan was never on.
I've checked the load and all and it's ridiculous: 2 to 3% max for the CPU. There's no reason that I see for the fan to run that often.
The NUC is not hot.
I tried to fiddle with the Bios settings to put something custom but I had the CPU T° rise super fast to like 95°C, so I went back to balanced.
I also opened it but there's no acces to the fans so I don't know if the air I blew in it did anything.
Is this a known issue ?
What should I look next to understand ? Should I put the BIOS setting for the fans on quiet ?
Thanks !
I recently bought a used 3060 Ti mini For my NUC 9. I've been trying to figure out how to open up the GPU so I can check the thermal paste, pads and fans to see if I need to replace them.
I've check Google and everything, I still haven't found any information or videos on it.
Without major hassle? What do I need to know?
Thanks. (Yes, I do need Mate)
Hej all
today I wanted to install virtual box on my mint (running on an Intel NUC10i7FNH over nearly three years now) with secure boot enabled.
But everytime I reboot my PC after installing virtual box via deb file I am unable to interact with the MOK management, because it seems like it does not receive any input from my keyboard. I tried out two different keyboards on every USB slot I've got but without any success.
I've read an accepted answer to a likewise problem on stackoverflow stating that it works when I access BIOS/UEFI prior to the MOK management during boot.
That answer lead me straight down a rabbit hole. It seems like not receiving any inputs from my keyboards is not only true for the MOK management. My NUC seems to ignore any inputs during boot (with one exception). I realized this by trying to enter UEFI normally after a restart to have a look on my UEFI configuration to check whether my USB ports are disabled or if there is some kind of fast boot (or likewise) enabled (which is not the case, there isnt even a configuration for this).
I can reboot into UEFI via sudo systemctl reboot --firmware-setup
. Inside UEFI my keyboards and mice are working perfectly fine.
I, then, enabled the loading of 3rd party drivers during UEFI boot. But that didn't bring any success unfortunately.
When I exit UEFI (which obviously triggers a reboot) I may (re-)enter UEFI via F2 key. But this is the only exception where my NUC seems to assess my inputs.
However when I restart my NUC after a shutdown or reboot through Linux Mint I am again not able to enter UEFI via F2 key.
I also discovered that my keyboard does not work when my NUC boots into the advanced startup menu (after an ungraceful shutdown for example).
Does someone had a similar problem in the past and knows one approach to solve this? It's a unsettling for me to know that my keyboard doesn't work during boot since this is (of course) the only input I may have during "real emergencies".
Any help, hints or suggestions are appreciated. Thank you! :)
Is it normal that I cant run games like Overwatch or fallout 4 on my pc? I got it as a gift and he said it was good for gaming but it Is very laggy and pixelated
Hi
Got another unit nuc8i7beh which has a 240Gb SSD drive installed on the sata port. Trying to install windows and it says ony 20GB total space. Get the same if i boot a linux install. Tried fdisk etc and there are no other partitions on the dive. Is this some strange bug or a dead drive?
Thanks
Hi everyone,
A few days ago I was casually using my intel nuc, when all of a sudden, it turned off as if the power went out. When I try turning it back on, nothing happens. I don't think there was any change in power supply since my monitor which was plugged in to the same extension cord stayed on.
I have since tried plugging the power cable into different sockets, but it didn't help.
Then I opened up the nuc and tried turning it on after reseating the RAM and disconnecting the CMOS battery for 5 minutes, as it was suggested on the intel website. This didn't work.
I've noticed a few things which I don't exactly know how to interpret:
I also don't see any burnt or damaged parts on the board.
I'll attach photos of the board with the parts that get warm circled in red. Maybe that area getting warm means something. I hope you have an idea as to what has happened and what I can do to revive the PC.
Thanks for reading!
The part circled in blue is what shocks me when I touch it (I think it's the left cuboid)
^I mentioned this in the comments
Hi. I have what could be a stupid question. I bought the Nuc 11 because it said it had 2 x PCle 4.0 SSD (up to 2TB) . Am I missing something as there is only one port inside?
Thanks for helping me clear this up and for probably proving I cant read properly
Hi all
Ive got this nuc from a friend whos asked for it to be updated etc. its running fedora which might be an issue but not sure. Its running bios 0058 so tried to update to 0076 but says i need to goto 0071 first.
Heres the first issue. from the terminal if i try and install it i get segmentation fault. So how do i get around this? tried redownloading the file to a usb stick, to my mac first same issue.
Other issue if once the OS boots if i do nothing with it on the login screen i a few mins the screen goes off which i thought was just screen off after x but also the network stops, the keyboard lights ie caps lock if on go off. pressing any key nothing. The power light is still on solid while. only option is pull power and restart. If ive logged in and leave it long enough i get the same.
I was ssh onto it from my mac and the screen when off and the session died. Im really not sure what this is which is one reason for trying to update the bios. ive turned off all power management i think.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Hello,
I have a NUC 12 Extreme and I liked looking at the compatibility page for suggestions. I wished I had saved a copy of it when I lasted looked at it.
I tried using the internet archive page and I could not get a result from my bookmark. Does anyone know where I can find a copy of that list?
Thank you!!
Hi,
I have 3 Intel NUC at home : NUC 11 i7, NUC 12 i5 and NUC 13 i3.
They are all running proxmox + some VM.
Their load is not so high, rarely does it reach 50% CPU.
However they are all in the 85-95C range it seems constantly.
Is that too high ? Could there be a problem somewhere ? Thanks for any help
Hello,
I have the NUC8I5BEH and I'm wondering to upgrade to NUC11PAHI7.
It's worth ?
Hello everyone,
I recently purchased the NUC 11 i3 (NUC11PAHi30Z) for use as a home server. It offers 1x M.2 and 1x 2.5" SATA slots for storage. My plan is to create a 2TB primary storage setup with an additional 2TB for backup. Currently, I've installed an NVME SSD in the M.2 slot.
For the 2.5" SATA slot, I initially considered a 2TB hard disk drive. However, these drives are not widely available at the moment, and when they are, their prices are comparable to NVME SSDs. Additionally, most 2TB 2.5" drives utilize SMR technology, come with only a two-year warranty, and are less reliable due to their compact size.
Furthermore, 2.5" SATA SSDs are also priced similarly to NVME drives. Therefore, I'm exploring the option of using an M.2 to SATA converter.
My questions is: Are M.2 to SATA converters readily available in the market, and are they reliable? This solution would allow me to use NVME SSD in the SATA port, and if necessary in the future, repurpose it for other uses.
I never thought I'd be one to beg the internet for answers but here I am
My NUC12DCi7 became unresponsive after leaving it on sleep for a couple hours while I ran errands. Fancy LEDs on, fans spinning and warm air from the CPU blower - but no display out. After powering off by holding the power button, and attempting to power it back on it would power on, and then without any display out turn back off after a second or two - and continues to do this.
What Ive tried: Reseating all cables (CPU, GPU, fans, LEDs, front USB, 20pin common IO) Disconnected front USB cables Removing both SODIMMs and replacing with known good stick in either slot Removed GPU Removed storage + swapped slots Tested voltage on CPU power cable (all 12v between live and ground) Let CMOS battery sit disconnected for half an hour Checked the board for water damage/burns (nothing noticeable) Used button on undercarriage to turn off LEDs when there is power
The only change I've noticed is when I powered it on with the CPU card removed and it just had the LEDs on and stayed powered on
And yeah it's out of warranty. I'm guessing that I may just need to salvage what I installed + the CPU and just build a new PC.
Thanks
I'm reaching out for some insights into an issue I'm facing with my NUC10. Recently, after a power outage, my NUC10 refuses to power on. This system has been running 24/7 since March 2021 without any major issues. About a month ago, I replaced the fan due to multiple shutdowns caused by overheating.
Here are the details:
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced similar issues or could suggest potential causes for this behavior. Could it be related to the power supply, motherboard, or something else?
Any advice or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
Recently I got a dragon canyon and I was told that with the 12 gen intel CPU can benefit with a CPU frame buckle to replace the current thing holding it in place.
I have the dragon canyon with the i9 12900.
Has anyone done this and see improvements? Or is this a waste of time?
I have a nuc7ibnh that is shutting itself off after an hour or so use. Power light is off and I have to waiting 10 or so minutes before it comes back on and I can restart.
Sure sounds like a fan/old thermal paste. But strange thing is that when I run a standalone memtest, the temp never reaches 80c. Generally in 70’s or even lower.
I did replace the thermal pads (.5mm and used new Arctic thermal paste. ) tested fan and it is good too.
Took out one memory (was 16gb x 2). And tried each individually. The only thing that I saw was that the turnoff point was longer with one mem stick vs 2. Also swap power supplies bricks.
I have seen 7805’s power regulators turn off when their temps got too high. So my working theory is that I have a marginal power regulator that is overheating.
Agree? Disagree? Other paths?
Mark
Can the compact NUC accommodate two 2280 SSD? I really think it can by cutting off one port or two. Is that possible?
