Expansion Keepers?

So obviously Clark, AB, Lexie, and Kels (core or 1 yr max whichever). I don't think Nalyssa is a good fit, but id rather trade her to get value. I used to think Temi, but now I'm leaning toward Grace.

Grace was solid in college, looks great in Turkey, and would be a good backup at the 1 and 2.

What do you all think?

Victaria Saxton

Came across this article which was from the training camp at start of season. It seems like Saxton was being used as a 'bunny' to try and improve Nalyssa Smith. From the report it sounds like she's a strong defensive player we could use (but just havent)

Thoughts on whether she stays or goes? I would like to see her stay based on the small glimpses she has shown and her appetite for the contest.

Anyone listened to Gabbie, Kate, and CC podcast yet?

I think I've seen it on YouTube but have no time to watch. Was it good?

Stephanie White's 2023 comments about Caitlin Clark

While commentating the 2023 Big-10 tournament championship game between Iowa and Ohio State, White said, "We’ve never seen a women’s basketball player like Caitlin Clark. She Scores like Taurasi and has vision & delivery like Sue Bird.” Iowa obliterated a very good Ohio State team 105-72. Caitlin had a triple-double: 33 pts, 17 assists, and 10 rebounds.

White apparently said she has been watching CC since she was in 8th grade. She also saw the incredible job Lisa Bluder did with Caitlin, which was, to a large extent, handing over the keys to her. While that's not practical in the W to that extent, look for Coach White to allow Caitlin to be herself - letting her rule the court and asking the crowd to participate as if they were part of the team.

Give Some Love to the Rest of the Fever Team As Well

Im thrilled that Stephanie White is coming to the Fever!! Definitely the best choice.

I’d like to see the media and White at least mention the rest of the team as important to the strategy.

I’m not a participation trophy person, but Boston, Mitchell, and Hull at the very least. And Erica Wheeler too for the matter.

Yes, CC, was the focus. But her assist numbers alone prove the team had an integral role.

And the hard part this coming year is that it’s gonna be the same intensity focused on CC because of White coming on board.

Look, all I’m saying…to White and the media…be mindful.

Since Aliyah Boston got announced, let's talk about her accolades and why she's a great player for Unrivaled.

I made this post talking about her here earlier. And since she's part of the Indiana Fever, might as well talk about her here since she's the next member. I'm not necessarily talking about the fact that she was announced, but rather about what she did to deserve it.

What About Grace?

I'm not a basketball expert so I welcome input.

I've been looking at Grace's college highlights and I see nothing but good stuff.

I do not understand why she got so little playing time the past few seasons - I'm not looking to bash Christie Sides - that ship has sailed - but still - why?

Instead of looking at other teams to draft another PG why not play Grace? What is wrong with her - she's not flashy? Aggressive?

Here is her high school evals. Not Caitlin or Paige but very solid.

Why no new coach announcement? 🤔🤔

What is taking the fever so long to announce their coach, it seemed like a lock for Steph White to roll into the job. But it just seems less 'locked in' with each passing day.. nothing but crickets and not even a video about the new GM Amber Cox.

Any one got any ideas on what the hold up is?

I get that Stephanie White had some family issues she had to tend to. But would the fever sign her up so quickly after things were so tricky in her personal life?

Accolades about new Unrivaled member: Lexie Hull

To preface this, I am aware that there is a post announcing that Lexie Hull was a new member of Unrivaled; however, I am only here to talk about interested accolades of hers. I had asked the moderators in this subreddit if I was allowed to do so, so long as it is just for the intent of talking about stats and I was told "Yeah no problem at all, go ahead :)". I intended on posting this hours ago when one of the mods allowed me to, but I forgot. I just like talking about stats and I think people should know why she is worthy of being in Unrivaled. Sometimes, people don't know a lot about their favorite players, me included.

This is the post, but I might as well just talk about her stats accolades below after this sentence.

  • NCAA champion (2021) Stanford
  • Senior CLASS Award (2022) Stanford
  • 3× All-Pac-12 Team (2020–2022) Stanford
  • 2× Pac-12 All-Defensive Team (2020, 2022) Stanford
  • Pac-12 Champion (2022) Stanford
  • Elite 90 Award (2022) Stanford
  • 4A Title during freshman year at Central Valley High School. (Spokane Valley, Washington)
  • Washington Gatorade Player of the year (2017, 2018) Central Valley High School. (Spokane Valley, Washington)
  • AP Washington All-Classification Player of the Year (2019) Central Valley High School (Spokane Valley, Washington)
  • All-time leading scorer for Central Valley High School (Spokane Valley, Washington)

All in all, I am glad a member of the Indiana Fever got to be in Unrivaled, which means at least one member of each team got in.
