December 2017 Pasta Challenge - Holiday

The first challenge of r/impastabuildings will be holiday themed! We want you all to be as creative as you please, or as technically focused as you please, or as lazy as you please. Basically, have fun with this challenge and create something that represents you. If you are not very creative but could design something a civil engineer would awe at, do that!

##Submission Process

To submit:

  • Create a text post on the subreddit flaired with “Submission”
  • Include a minimum of three pictures showcasing your submission (top, bottom, side)
  • The amount of pasta used (# of boxes ^and ^the ^box ^weight ).
  • Anything impressive
  • If it can hold up 15 lbs of weight, tell us! If you handmade the pasta, tell us that too!

Final Day to Submit: January 2

##Rules

Since this is our first subreddit challenge, we are keeping it pretty simple in terms of moderating how you guys choose to contribute. By next month we will have developed official rules that will be found on the wiki but for now, follow these basic rules:

  1. Your submission must be made primarily of hard pasta and be freestanding.
  2. Your submission must be yours. Plagiarism will result in a permanent ban.
  3. Your submission must be flaired and have some sort of proof that it is yours in the picture (e.g. your username on a piece of paper).
  4. Submit only once.*

##The Winner and Next Challenge

January 5:

  • Winner is announced
  • Their post is gilded and showcased in the sidebar
  • Next month's challenge theme is announced

This is your chance to make suggestions for next month's challenge! Myself and the mods will be constantly going through the comments and picking out popular themes you suggest and will make a poll one week before the next challenge. If you have any questions, ask them below (you're probably not the only one wondering).

We encourage all users to participate in this competition! Despite there being a winner, we want to emphasize that winning is not the goal of this challenge, rather it is to showcase the community’s creativity and talent. We encourage you to post your project in the sub while working on it to ask for help, criticism, or just to show it off. We will be adding flairs to accommodate each of those categories.

^*Feel ^free ^to ^submit ^progress ^pictures ^or ^help ^requests ^along ^the ^way. ^We ^only ^ask ^that ^you ^only ^make ^a ^single ^“Submission” ^flaired ^post. ^Feel ^free ^to ^make ^as ^many ^others ^as ^you ^wish.

This post will be periodically updated throughout the month as we add rules or standardize the process.

_

TL;DR: Make something out of hard pasta that is holiday themed and then post it to the sub. ^Pls ^^pls ^^^pls ^read ^whole ^post
