I let this entire thing install throughout the night and it's saying I need to update THE SAME THING again does anyone know why

Just wondering at this point.

My guess is that the M2 will be a GR86 with pure added power, or something close to it. In other words, it is RWD, has small aero parts, semi-automatic, easy electronic assist, and 365 hp.

When that is added to a rookie, the position of the GR86 series becomes quite ambiguous.

Wouldn't new users stay away from a series that feels similar to drive but is slower and requires pay tracks?

If the positions were reversed, wouldn't it work as a logical path, not add more dead series, but coexist and increase track sales?

I think moving the GR86 to the Rookie and adding the M2 to the D is reasonable.

I myself am not passionate about the GR86 and the M235iR was my beloved car in AC, so the addition of the M2 itself is very welcome. I just don't feel comfortable with more dead series.

What do you all think? I would like you all to correct my wrong guess.

Hey, I recently tried to pass class C in all catégories. But I face a Little problem for dirt road licence : even 2x inc on the whole race makes me lose a Little SR. Anyone else have this problem ? It’s gonna be way too difficult to upgrade in these conditions !

I've been jumping from Oval into road racing and it got me thinking.

Rookie races should require drivers to complete qualification within some sort of target time. Can't make the target time , tough. Can't put together a clean lap out of two chances, tough.

The number of idiots starting from the pits who either can't keep any sort of pace or keep their car in control land on track is absolutely astounding. Rookies is the time for learning basic car control and race craft and starting from the pits and driving with out pace teaches nothing.

Why does my monitor switch continuously on Iracing?

Guys, I’m having a hard time with Iracing. My setup is currently 2 screens for just regular use of my pc/gaming and then one 49” ultrawide for my sim. All screens are always connected, but when I just game on my normal screens I turn off the 49”. Then when I want to start racing, I turn it on, boot up Iracing and every time all my graphic settings are gone and it usually boots up the first time on the incorrect monitor. Then I need to re run the graphics config, rejoin, to find out all my settings are gone (again). The only way it doesn’t do this is when I leave the 49” on on together with the other screens. But since it’s an oled, and I think it’s bs to keep it on while not in use I always turn it off. Can someone relate / help me with this issue? It’s getting bloody annoying.

MX-5 race with zero incident points!! And i got podium position.

The driver height is set too high. Even after recentralizing the HMD, it remains too high, as if the game has a default setting where I’m a head taller than I should be. I can “trick” the game by sliding down in the seat and then recentralizing, so that when I sit normally, the driver height is in the right position. But I wondered if I might be missing something and if there’s a more professional way to fix this. Is there a way where I can adjust the default height for the HMD recenter?

So the SOF wasn’t very high still top split but qualified p3 dude that qualified p1 was just missing from the grid so that was a freebie then got along side the new p1 and held it through t1, t2 & t3 no contact completely clean side by side battle on the opening lap. Then late braked him into t4 took the lead and held it for 20 min. I’ve been trying to win at this track for a year now finally got my first imola win yay. My wife could give a fuck less so figured I’d come here to say it lmaooo.

Looking at dirt road... jesus christ. Most of the series barely get the minimum amount of participants to start official race. Some of them have NOT A SINGLE RACE RESULT and it's Saturday. Imagine playing the same price for track/car just to drive by yourself in unofficial races...

When i got the repairs done, THIS WAS THE FIRST THING THAT HAPPENED.
Sometimes i wonder why those pieces of shit even buy F4 and how they got out of rookies. These are the people who should get permabanned. Why even buy iracing in the first place if you're just gonna pull this bullshit on random people?

I’m really struggling to find motivation to go race lately, a lot has to do with the way other competitors are driving. 7/10 races usually end up with malicious contact as people seem to not like getting passed or rubbed against during a pass, even when I’m not the one passing I see a lot of incidents of people taking each other out, (people with over 12years in Iracing)I always try my hardest to make sure I race as clean as possible and don’t ruin other people’s experiences, just doesn’t feel the same anymore

I am interested to see which series the Ferrari 499p ends up in for 2025 S1.

I have seen a copy/pasted text of the original development update post where it mentioned that the car would join the “IMSA Endurance Series”, but the post has since been updated to just say “Endurance Series”.

Maybe I’m looking too far into it, but why would they deliberately remove IMSA from the post.

This makes me fear that the Ferrari 499p will only be added to the Global Endurance Tour series, because while it follows IMSA rules/cars/schedule, it isn’t explicitly branded as an IMSA series.

In theory, I’m wondering if there’s a licensing issue with the Ferrari joining “IMSA” branded series.

This is only a theory, but I think it would be unfortunate if we don’t get the Ferrari in the IMSA series.

What do you think?

I've been getting into Ovals a bit, and am out of Rookies, and not sure where to go next or route to take. I know nothing about oval racing outside of iRacing, so I'm not sure what series to do, or cars to buy. I see MENARDS and Draftmaster are pretty popular, but I'm not sure what the difference is, what I should pick, and where each go. Would love some input on whats fun.

I'm working on learning new tracks tonight (Friday night). I like to set up a "test drive" session so I can learn the new track without ruining anyone else's time. Once I'm comfortable with the new track, I switch to the actual practice server. However! I'm having a problem with the weather thing. It just sits there spinning. I guess it's trying to compile the weather data, but it's not working. Anyone else having a similar problem? Advice?

I'm trying to reduce the road noise. Particularly noticeable when driving on a straight. You can hear the rolling road beneath you. Is this setting to do with the tire sound levels or is there another sound level I can change?

I'm driving the MX-5 if that makes any difference.

I have been trying to improve to be smooth, get better at trail braking, and many other techniques for last 6 months in iracing and well over a year for sim racing in general and just not improving. Battling the same struggles. I have watched Youtube, tried AI software, had plenty of seat time and still struggling. I do enjoy it, but I also can now say for sure I dont have the skill set and unable to get there through so much practice. My whole rig, excluding pc is around £2000, I just dont feel like i deserve thiis. I just feel stuck, as on one hand i cant improve no matter how long i try or what i do. I made a mistake buying this level of equitment for my low skill level, but on the other hand i do find it fun (at times and depending on the sim I use.) Would you sell up and call it a day or maybe focus on more arcade driving games?

I have been improving my pace by doing Time Trail and Test sessions, but I always have a terrible qualifying and I ended up at the back of the pack. So I wanna work on my qualifying but I don't see a way to practice this for fixed races. I know I can do Test sessions but I am assuming those runs are done with a full tank, so is there a way to know what fuel level is being used in qualy and change it on a Test session? Thanks in advance.
