This is a place to have your tires checked visually for reliability and safe usage. This sub does not guarantee actual usage of any tire as only a repair facility or repair staff member can make that type of determination in person. Alignment issues can also be sought here.

Tire wear issues, punctures, rubber breaks, and inflation questions can all be asked.

Just bought this car and hit something on the high way this is the little dent to the rim. Do I have to replace or can it be bent straight? Or does it need anything?

Tire replacement sizing

I just have a question about tire fitment and I hope this is the best place to ask.

I’m looking at replacing the tires on my truck and currently have 275/65R18’s on all 4 of my wheels. My wheels are 8” wide. Im considering buying a set of 275/70R18’s. All the research I’ve done says the tires should fit without issue, but the sites that check fit on a vehicle keep saying they won’t fit? Am I stupid, or is it the size checker who’s wrong?

Struts or bad rotors? Something else?

I'm wondering if I have bad struts in the front of my car or possibly bad rotors? It normally will shakes if I really get on the brakes at 70-75 mph on the interstate. Most of my driving is done locally under 45-50mph. The car has around 110k miles on it

Ride or die? More photos in the post body.

Hey guys,

Came across this community after noticing my tires looking a little funky. My wife and I are having a debate on whether or not to buy new ones. How do you guys think the outer wear on the tire is looking?

Got new brakes done about a month ago and the garage wizards didn't mention anything.

Dry rot on 3 year old tires...how?

Hi everyone,

Just replaced these dry rotted tires I bought less than 2 years ago. They were properly inflated and pressure monitored biweekly. No aggressive driving other than some quick stints on the backroads. Thread depth is at 80% life with perfectly even wear, and no abnormal dry rot on the inner sidewalll at all.

Anyone have any idea how they could have gotten so bad so quickly?

Thanks!
