Last Sunday we embraced our inner boomer and saw Al Di Meola at Heights Theater. It was a great time seeing a legendary guitarist. He first played Houston at the age of 19 in 1973, a concert made memorable when Carlos Santana emerged from the audience to play with the band.

My band Low Desert is looking to start playing shows. We're an instrumental two-piece band combining shoegaze, math rock, trip hop, and post rock. We've spent the last year writing material and are ready to hit the stage, but not sure where to start exactly. It seems preferable to venues to have a full bill/lineup ready for a show, so I'd like to put ourselves out there. We're sitting on a 30 minute set and are happy to open or fill any slot needed.
