Wanna get out of the house before the shenanigans of Thanksgiving start? Come on down to Third Coast Games and let the metal carnage commence!
I'll be hosting the AS350 Format games. For those unaware of what this is, it's a universal framework that can be used for both casual and tournament-style games. Players create a list of 350 PV worth of units. From this list, you’ll need to create a 250 PV army best suited for 1 of 8 random scenarios. You can find the rules for building your lists here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/142ctRJNPyeZ14mnQwzaa6VfeEJw6rEIe/view?usp=drivesdk
We'll be playing in the ilClan era.
Orbital sensors had indicated an unknown vessel entering the atmosphere of Marwa: a frigid mining planet within Canopian space. The First Fusiliers were sent to investigate. Contact was made within a dense boreal forest. An unknown clan force was attempting to push their way towards a rich ore facility. A pitched battle ensued. The clanners had brought to bear overwhelming heat-inducing weaponry. While many of the Fusilier units were forced to shut down, the cavalry of the Canopians rushed in to destabilize their line. In the end, the clanners were forced to retreat or risk the rest of the planet's forces to rush towards their undefended dropship.
Another great night of Battletech Alpha Strike here at Third Coast Games. I want to thank our growing community of players for being so awesome!
Hi everyone. Looking for a face to face group of 4 people to try out the quick start rules with the built in adventure.
I have some big news! I'm going to be working with PeliCon to host an Alpha Strike tournament during their convention next year. If you're interested, I'd love to hear from you all via this interest survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScyU-Ta24MCU4wVIYhbQ_735qYr0W1NLQ4VxCdbLhLlZgOE3w/viewform?usp=sf_link
Hey all! I’m still looking for players in my Tuesday D&D 5e games, we start at 6:30PM. This is run at a little shop in Stafford called Golem's Gate, They've got a meetup and it's got the address/location there as well
The game is set in the Kobold Press setting of Midgard, a fantasy European-style world with inspiration from Norse, Greek, Celtic and Egyptian mythologies. There isn’t a pre-made story for the group, they’re going on their own adventures as they like, taking jobs from an Adventurer’s Guild. The two current players have some long-term goals but beyond that are looking to have more adventurers join them for a long-term adventure.
The group is currently level 3 and using the 2014 ruleset, so still pretty new to the adventuring life. I let my players roll for their ability scores, rolling 4d6 and re-rolling any dice that show 2 or less. They get max HP at every level. They are also using a Gestalt system which allows you to have 2 classes at once, rather than multi-classing.

I’ll be doing a little catch-up Session 0 session next Tuesday 11/05/24 for any new players who want to join to get them set up and introduced to the current group.

On the desolate world of Heraklion, where the machinations of the Word of Blake awoke from their slumber, desperate MechWarriors found themselves forging uneasy alliances. Their only means of escape was to repair a pair of battered dropships. It was not an easy task. As they scoured the wasteland for much-needed supplies, waves of the AI-controlled machines swarmed their encampment. Many lost their lives so the others could escape.
As you regroup following the rescue of the auxiliary techs from the “Touch And Go”, there’s a lot of nervous conversations in the back of the APC. It’s been quiet since you broke contact with the zombie horde, and everyone is on edge, knowing the quiet can’t last.
“All right commander, we’ve got good news and bad news.” The friendly voice from your on-orbit escort carrier cuts through the delirium.
“Good news - your techs were right, it looks like there’s an ancient Leopard only 30 klicks from your position, and it’s mostly intact.” “Copy, and the bad news?” “Bad news - there’s a lot of zombie activity we’re seeing from orbit, and it looks like they realized that’s your only way off this rock.” “Affirmed. Appreciate the intel, groundpounders over and out.”
"Y'all heard the call, mount up!" you shout, clambering back into your cockpit, as you hear the whirring of reactors and engines. You might just survive this night yet.
Your long trudge in the dark is punctuated by flashes of weapons fire as Blakist machines along your path harry your journey. The strobing of the pulse lasers especially casts an eerie sense of motion across the landscape.
So far resistance has been minimal, less than you hit before the swarm rescuing the auxiliary techs. You hear occasional chatter that things are “too quiet”. On a hunch you check in with your on-orbit escort.
“We’ll be up over the horizon in… 15 seconds, I’ll let you know what we’ve got.”, she pauses, the sound of monitor switches coming softly through the open mic. “Concur commander, your hunch is right. They seem to be mostly pulled back from your route.”
“I’ve got a bad feeling about this.” You muse, “I bet whatever’s driving that horde wants off this rock as bad as we do.”
“That’s a good point. Want me to glass your position just to be safe?” she says in a joking tone
“Ha. Ha. Very funny.” you say, but you worry that if things go wrong, that’s exactly what you’ll have to do. As a last resort, you tell yourself.
It's always darkest before the dawn. But you've got a glimmer of hope. This fight will be tough, and you'll need to plan for a number of possible objectives:
Collecting spare parts for the dropship
Protecting the dropship from enemy forces
Handling possible infiltration of the dropship by enemy infantry
Like last week, we'll be splitting 300 PV between all the players at the table, so choose carefully. Everyone is welcome to attend, even if you weren’t there for the first session. Perhaps your forces are stragglers who got separated during the chaos. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to message me.
I've been working hard to create a poster to help advertise our group's Battletech Alpha Strike game nights. Check it out, and if you can, share it around! We're always happy to see new faces: veterans and green recruits alike.
Figured with the new RPG kick-starting this would be the place to ask.

Looking at having one or two additional players added to our dnd campaign. Game is hosted in Baytown weekly on Sundays. If interested send a DM for more details.
Hello!
We are looking for 1-2 players for an in-person d&d campaign in East Houston - around Pasadena. We play on Sundays, from 17:00 to 21:00 and will be playing every other week to start, with the possibility of shifting to every week in May of 2025.
We do not accept bigotry of any kind at the table. So, if you're even tolerant of islamphobia, homophobia, racism, transphobia, etc this is not the table for you.
With that said, I'm just finishing up a large, home-brewed campaign setting. We'll be starting a globe-trotting, open-world campaign in 2-3 months.
I have dozens of pages of backstory, a dozen maps, a globe, a calendar, timelines, competing accounts of the creation of the universe, and all of that that I'd like to share here. And maybe I will tack some of that on at the end. But, the basics are this:
The world runs in 10,000 year cycles, with 1,000 year interregnums between them, in which the gods decide what the next age will be. The second to last age saw the creation of a supercontinent and maintenance of a world-spanning empire (inspired by Rome, the Ottomans and a little Ethiopia). The last age saw the land and empire break apart, followed by 10,000 years of calamities, disasters, Kaiju attacks, plagues, famine, and literal meteor impacts.
The campaign will begin 200 years in to the following interregnum. Your parents and grandparents have scratched and clawed out of a dark age. Yours is the first generation in 10,000 years with a chance to make something better.
So, the intention is to discuss characters and a starting direction for the campaign at session 0. From there, my approach to a campaign is to present a world with something going on everywhere and run with whatever the players get interested in. I'm counting on players to get into the world and the group to take initiative in deciding where the campaign will go.

Looking for a few more people to round out a Starfinder / Pathfinder 2e campaign. Table location is south east Houston, in Pasadena. Game day / time isn’t set in stone, but Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. is the plan right now.
Currently, we're playing a homebrew campaign while trying out the Starfinder 2e playtest, which is very similar to Pathfinder 2nd edition.
Any player experience is alright, from a veteran to someone who wants to play for the first time. Just be open with what you know and be able to learn as we go.
Shoot me a message if you’re interested or want to know more information and we’ll talk. Thanks for reading, and look forward to hearing from you.
Heya folks! I make electronic music dance/edm/pop music and I'm looking for a female vocalist as a long term partner for the project. Crazy costumes are optional.
Dua Lipa or Kenya Grace "Strangers" would be a decent reference but I'm extremely eclectic. I have a home studio and have toured nationally. I am hoping for a dynamic akin to the Eurythmics or Billy Eilish and her brother. Songwriting and playing any instruments would be fantastic as well. I'm located on the southeast side of town... not far from Clear Lake. If you contact me privately I can send music and video. I am interested in hearing any singing samples you have. Thanks!
