The show is about a dog named Honey who runs group therapy sessions to help neighborhood animals manage the neuroses brought on by their owners and each other. Watch HouseBroken anytime on Hulu or FOXNOW.
Please keep your posts to once a week.
Housebroken is an upcoming brand new animated sitcom from FOX and Bento Box (the studio that animates Bob's Burgers).

IDK about y'all, but I think S2E18 was objectively the most obnoxious episode
I mean we had quite a bit of sexual obscenity, more than typical for the show, the whole huffing glue thing, and then... BUTT PILL
For me personally it was the characters and that we had something different that wasn't about families or focused on human characters, plus this show made me feel good.
Since housebroken was cancelled by universal basic guys I would like to know the opinion of this subreddit about this show. My thoughs about universal basic guys: Personally I didn't like it, it doesn't transmit me anything, it looks ugly and it doesn't make me laugh, the characters lack a lot of charisma too.
Now you can choose your favorite character as flair, you can select them on the right side of the subreddit.
If you have any questions or recommendations, don't forget to say so.
So, Honey is called a "standard poodle" in the show a bunch and by the descriptions of it online, but only 1 parent is actually a poodle, so she's not a pure poodle...
Not bashing on people who like her as a character, I just don't find the appeal of her. Been binging the show (Don't ask how many times) and I always notice that she tends to have an inferiority complex of sorts, especially when it comes to Honey(?). I personally think she tries to act subtly better over everyone else and tries to take over things, like Honey's group in some episodes. She also is a bit self absorbed like Tabitha. (Though, to be fair, the same could be said for Honey's character.) Its like if Elsa was a person, she'd be that one co-worker that acts tries to act like they're the boss of you and kisses the boss's ass. OR she'd be that one friend that subtly tries to one up you in everything. In that episode where Diablo get implants, Elsa straight up ditched Honey because Diablo showed more dominance (due to his implants). At the end of episode when Diablo loses his dominance and confidence, she comes back to Honey and kicks the Pomeranian away from Honey's side. Before people bash me, I ain't saying Honey is a bunch of roses either. Honey definitely has some sort of superiority problem and flaws, but I kinda like her character just a tiny bit more than Elsa. Thoughts?
One thing I've noticed is that you can't watch the new fox animated shows outside the US or at least not in streaming or in an accessible way. This also makes me think that they failed because of this, if the shows reached everyone like others I think they would have gained more popularity. I think fox executives have no idea what they are doing.
If Honey could call the PAW Patrol, her collar would have a pup tag.
PAW Patrol reference
I doubt that the PAW Patrol are in the Housebroken world. What do you think?
Here's my tier list for each and every episode of HouseBroken. Let me know your thoughts. Based on my criteria, anything above a C rank is an enjoyable episode. C rank are decent, inoffensive episodes. D rank is bad. Here's the ranking system I used:
25 total points, 5 points per criteria -Character Dynamics -Comedy -Irritability (5 = Nothing Annoying) -Storyline -Pacing
S+ Rank - 24+ points S Rank - 23 points A Rank - 21+ points B Rank - 20 points C Rank - 15+ points D Rank - 10+ points
So since the show is officially kaput, what epidose plots, story arcs, and character developments would you have liked to see happen?
I personally liked episodes with Jill and any scenes with her. I get the show centers around the animals, but scenes involving her were a nice break away from "just the animals" all the time. It reminds you of the human element and kept the show a bit grounded. She was good in smal doses, but I wish we had a little more of her.
Inspired by a recent post comparing episodes, here's my tier list of S1.
I will eventually create a full series tier list, but the templates already available online if anyone wants to make their own.
I have to rewatch each episode and assign it a score to make sure I wasn't going based purely on vibes.
What do you all think?
Which Boomsday episode was the best? “Who’s afraid of Boomsday?” or “Who’s afraid of Boomsday again?”?
I really like the second one. But Elsa was like a real hero in the first Boomsday episode.
What would happen if they started mating and having puppies of their own in season 3 How many pups would there be ???
Now that our favorite show has been canceled(and too soon). Where do we go from here?
I don't think the show will ever get picked up and revived on another network or stream service. Family Guy and Futurama are odd exceptions.
Do you think it could have a cult following? I think the best will can hope for is it rerunning on adult swim and becoming a small hit there. Sort of like Mission Hill.
I wish they would have brought out funko pop
Here’s a drawing I made for a storyboard artist I know who’s going through some tough times.
In the Housebroken episode “Who’s getting cold feet?”, Shel’s full name is revealed to be Sheldon, and in the Family Guy episode “Lois comes out of her shell”, there is another turtle named Sheldon. What if they were the same turtle? Or is it just a coincidence?
Everywhere i have checked has overwritten it with Boomsday
I don't know what fox expected about the show if they didn't give it adequate promotion and schedules, I think fox should give it a second chance and treat the show in a better way.
Plot: The County Fair is in town and Honey and Chief visit there, only to meet up with a cow in a petting zoo. Meanwhile Max is at the fair, reunited with a good friend (Ennis the pig from “Who’s A Winner?”). And Brett and Stellios are trapped atop a broken elevator, and Tabitha and Kit Kat must find a way to help.
(Storyline coming soon)
I have no experience in FL Studio to actually produce this but I had this idea and felt I had to share it.
Honey vs. Chief in a cover of the song Gamebreaker.
The cover title? Either "Housebreaker" or "Homewrecker". Either way, I'm very proud of these titles.
Sorry for the fluff post, but I couldn't resist posting these titles. Here's some art of Honey in FNF style to make up for it.
Brickleberry, similarly to HouseBroken, was an animated comedy owned by FOX that was cancelled due to a mixed to poor reception.
Due to FOX owning the rights to Brickleberry, the creators were not allowed to use any of the characters or continue the show without express permission from the network. So, the creators of Brickleberry waited until another network approached them to create a similar show. Thus, Paradise PD - a blatant, yet legally distinct, copy of Brickleberry was born.
Why am I talking about Brickleberry on the HouseBroken subreddit?
To propose the possibility of HouseBroken being reincarnated rather than revived.
What if instead of seeing HouseBroken come back with all the same characters, we get a remarkably similar show with different furry friends in a legally distinct scenario from HouseBroken - like instead of therapy, it's a meditation group or addiction rehab.
This not to say I don't want HouseBroken back. I do. I just think it's an important possibility to consider with how tight network grasps are on properties they cancel. Family Guy didn't come back until airing re-runs on adult swim. It was a similar scenario with Futurama as well. We were lucky to see those shows resurface, but HouseBroken may not ever amass a fanbase as big as those shows.
No matter what, I hope to see HouseBroken return. One way or another.
Thoughts?
I just want to say that I am so disappointed this show was canceled. I know it has a small demographic of people who enjoyed it. I don't understand that personally, I understand the first few minutes of the show seems bleak, but if people would have kept watching into three episodes, at least, perhaps they would have saw what I did. There was nothing but potential in this show. It was beautiful, funny, interesting plot lines, adorable. It stole my heart and I am so disappointed to hear of its cancelation.
I was hoping more eyes would see it but I think part of the problem was just that, I don't think it had much promo value and I don't think it had a lot of viewership to begin with. Not only that, the ones that wanted to be d!cks watched five minutes and gave it a sh!t rating.
My hope is that they will put it on another network. See how it does there, with some promo time and I know Prime has ads on many of its shows of other shows on the service. Perhaps with more promo and on another service it'd build some traction.
I hate that some shows don't get seen until years after they were canceled. It's a serious bummer. I'm quite selective with what I watch, when I found this show I was skeptical at first, but despite the skeptism I gave it some of my time because even I saw its potential from the start. I'm thrilled that I did.
But here's to hoping that another network will give it a shot. I'd love to see another season of this show. It is underrated, underestimated, & underappreciated.
ok so in "Who's Nocturnal?", Honey tells Diablo "as long as we stick together, nothing can harm us". just then, an owl grabs Diablo and Diablo says "but you just said" and Honey states she was wrong
but then the Owl returns Diablo unharmed to the friends, so Honey wasn't wrong
