Curious what ppl think about our angel Henry! He is 5 years old- could stand to lose some weight- we are working on it! 

He is 100% sweet as pie- so gentle and so patient with his neurotic big bro. Loves everyone including cats and kids. Adores sleeping and relaxing on all soft surfaces!

We got him when he was a little under a year and had severe bilateral hip dysplasia and an umbilical hernia. Hips were taken care of with two FHO surgeries (paid for by the shelter HALLELUJAHHHH!) and has been much more mobile ever since. 

Have always assumed some type of coonhound mix, maybe some foxhound and beagle in there? 
Just curious what y’all think, plus want to show off sweet Henry-heart.

Is that a phantom tongue or a hound…

When we found her, Honey was skin and bones and heartworm positive. Covered in scabs and sores. She had also been abused to the point where she would run if she could, or duck and cower. She was scared of only 2 things: anything that moved and anything that didn't move. 

Now she passively demands pets and scratches and you better not stop until she decides she has had enough. Other was you get the paw on your hand and the big eyes. Yay!

Bagel by name, bagel by nature. 

He hates it he shakes when we're outside and it's raining not because the thunder but because he might get wet. If we're walking and a sprinkler turns on he will actively try to avoid that house. He doesn't get baths he gets showers because it's easier for me to be in the tub with him than trying to hold him down while scrubbing.

I thought he was just hydrophobic but our neighbour has a hound a she said she won't go anywhere near water. Is this just a breed thing or do we both just have hydrophobes?

Tucker has been living the suburban hound life with my mom’s poodle ever since we got displaced by hurricane Helene. He missed treeing bears at home so much that we got him a toy, and of course Iona had to have one too!

This is my babyyyy. 7 years old and less chunky than when this picture was taken. Dumb Friends League told me she’s a foxhound-mix. One day I’ll run a DNA test and see what else she’s got in there!

Is there any hound in my dog?

Nugget aka Chicken Nugget - is a coon hound mix of some type. She is the sweetest girl with a mostly good temperament. She struggles a bit with sharing toys, balls or sticks. It’s like a switch in her head. Any ideas?

Now for a question about my girl. What breed do you think she may have been. I'm pretty sure there is some foxhound in her, but maybe some beagle too. I'm no master of hounds, and she had been through so many other homes prior that the previous owners didn't know a lot about her either. Any help would be appreciated.

By all accounts this is a very rare breed of dog. I have been looking after her for 5 days, and we have had some really great walks. 

She loves to follow a scent and got her reward this morning after successfully hunting down a field mouse.

She’s a great character, aloof and adorable!

I got this hound mix from the shelter, they didn’t know what he was, but a lot of people say he looks like a treeing walker hound. He’s very smart, very stubborn, playful, and has a high prey drive it that helps any bit. Here’s some photos to give light on him.
