Read Blood on the Tracks after stumbling across this sub and a post asking for recommendations

I have to talk about it because it really affected me (if this post isn’t allowed, my bad, please delete it).

I was confused for a lot of the earlier chapters up until maybe halfway through >!especially when Sei starts believing that he was the one that made his mom push Shige!<. But I think it really has something to do with how >!fucked up Seiichi became and!< how trauma really messes with your memory.

I have kids, two of which are very young; so when I saw >!the part where Seiko throws him off the cliff!< and the photo album of all his baby pictures…I can’t imagine losing your mind so much that you would hurt someone like that.

I definitely enjoyed the read (153 chapters took me about two days) and would like some recommendations; maybe something similar (I could call it horror, but it’s…definitely sad lol)

Looking for the rest of the manga YiRen

Technically it's a manhua, but this seemed like the best place to ask. I found the first chapter, but so far it's the only one online. I can't even find the raws. MangaDex indicates that it's completed already. I can't find anything else for it and figured reddit might help me.

It just occurred to me that I should say what it's about lol.

These entities suddenly started appearing in the world, but the humans brokered peace with them. These entities shed their skin, and the skin has different properties. There's one entity whose skin heals people. I wanna see how it goes from there because the chapter ended with a rat suddenly eating another rat alive after having the healing skin grafted onto it by a jealous entity.

Can’t remember the name of this manga..

It was about a woman killing men in extremely graphic ways, she was some sort of serial killer. She also was a lesbian and had some sort of girlfriend that ended up joining her in killing men. I think she might’ve cannibalised them after. The way characters were drawn was very unique and well done. The art was incredible.

Can't remember name of manga

Does anyone know of a manga where the main character is stuck in their friends house or apartment while a copycat monster outside is trying to lure them out? For some reason the monster can't enter the building but it slowly waiting out the person on the inside for when they run out of supplies.

If anyone knows i would be super grateful. Thanks!

Give me super disturbing horror or psychological manga that will make me actually scared or disturbed.

No Junji Ito recommendations because I already have an entire collection, as well as PTSD Radio and Goodnight Pun Pun. Give me something else. Something weird, disturbing, and something that will stick with me.

(Edit) Please stop with the Blood on the Tracks recommendations... OH MY GOSH!!!! It really doesn't look interesting to me even though psychological horror is my type, but please, if you see something recommended more than five times, DON'T RECOMMEND IT ANYMORE!!! I'm not trying to be rude, but gosh!!

When does Drifting Classroom start to get good?

I’m only on chapter 2 and is good, but I’m wondering when there’s going to be more action or when is starts to get really interesting.

Homunculus - Nakoshi and Yukari scene explanation

Reading homunculus and up to the final omnibus but the scene where Nakoshi rapes Yukari from omnibus 2 is still sticking with me and not in a good way. I don’t understand why Nakoshi doing such a horrific thing to her seems to appear to help her accept herself and improve her mental state? I understand that Nakoshi is not a good dude and I’m not trying to rationalise why he did it, rather why this seemed to positively affect Yukari? Did the rape actually happen, or was it a delusion? I’d just like some explanation. Find it hard to believe that the author is actually conveying that rape should be in any way portrayed to have a positive outcome.

Lychee Light Club by Usamaru Furuya

Just finished this Manga and loved it, Zera is an amazing villain 🙌.

I know the live action production from what Ive read is played more for laughs and given a more comedic tone.

Has anyone seen? What did they think compared to the book?

Help Me Find This Horror Manga

Im almost certain its by Junji Ito as i remember it being a short story but i looked through his whole collection and i cant find it.

The Plot follows a single character who is a manga artist or a writer of some kind and he moves into a new apartment but all of the residents are dead people, like corpses just walking around. I remember he went to a meeting with all the tenants and thats when he realized they were all dead.

About Gannibal's (horror manga) translation

I am willing to translate it up to chapter 120, the final chapter. The time window will be rather normal, don't expect a bunch of chapters in a couple days, I tried that with Idaten and then lost all interest cause I was burnout so this time I'll do it right. I promise to go through with this for the horror manga fans that we rarely get something good and mostly get over the top edgy stuff (no diss to pumpkin night) unless we talking kim carnby or rare instances like noah of the blood sea and DRCL midnight children.

I want to make clear that I will not be dropping this or using alt accounts. The only reasons for me to drop this project would be 1. I no longer enjoy the series (still reading it) or 2. legal issues such as requests by rightful owners or previous scanlation team (in the second example I will ignore such request if they don't plan to continue it and just wanna sh*t on me although I'd be an a-hole to assume that cause they gave us 12 chapters and gave me 12 chaps less to work on so they'll probably be cool with it).

I did not see a faq or wiki in the side when I entered this sub(maybe didnt look hard enough) and I'm not going to annoy the mods for a single post but If I am doing something wrong I'm okay with them editing this post or whatever as they see fit.

I heard about a kickstarter for an english release, I remember reading it'd be available by oct this year, ofc I wouldnt wanna mess with that in any way so I'm okay to pull out right now if that's the case plus even if it'll be available to a select few it will in one way or another end up online but, if the project is stagnant I'll go through with this without the intention of replacing an english version funded by the readers that'd be stupid af, I just wanna provide a version you can more or less understand cause most people don't start a series like that without an actual ending they can get to since suspense and resolve is such a huge part of horror.

Now, the file format will be jpgs or pngs in rar files so that people with cbr viewers can read 'em and people in their phones can place the image files in a folder and read 'em offline, I will avoid posting 'em on any aggregator website and if anyone does don't credit me, cause reasons. I will keep you updated.

Started with junji ito and now I’m here…

I feel the need to say thank you to this community to open up my mind in terms of horror manga. It all started with junji ito, then kazuo umezz, then hideshi honk, gou tanabe, suehiro maruo, kanako inuki and now I’m exploring shintaro kago.

Thank you guys and keep the suggestions coming 🫶🏼

Recommendation based on what I liked?

What are some must reads based on what I've liked recently? I've already read works by Junji Ito, but for now I'm looking into psychological horror manga/manhua recommendations. I also really loved Ghost Teller, Bastard and Sweet Home on webtoon that I read many years back. I've also already read/seen a few popular titles related to death/survival games that I enjoyed. So focus is psychological scary not visual scary if that makes sense.

Searching for: story involving perfectly circular holes in people (not guro, more like surreal/abstract)

I know this is a very long shot, but this sub is basically my last-ditch effort; Google searching has yielded nothing.

A very long time ago (90s? early 2000s?), I was browsing in a bookstore and saw an anthology collection of “new wave” or “cutting edge” weird manga, the size of an American graphic novel / comic collection (i.e. not the standard smaller “manga size”).

Looking through it, I was struck (a little freaked out, if I’m being honest) by a story where one person was asking someone else (a lover, maybe?) to let them make holes in them, “to keep them safe”. This was shown in the illustrations, which had no gore, just sort of what it would look like if someone bored dozens of holes of varying sizes all the way through a statue of a person.

I remember one of the lines was something like “if you dropped a knife on your foot, it would hurt terribly - but if a hole was in your foot, it would pass through harmlessly”, along with an illustration of a knife falling through a large bloodless perfectly circular hole in someone’s foot.

To be perfectly honest, there’s even a small chance I’m remembering wrong and it was a collection of European new wave comics or something, but I really think I remember it as being a collection of Japanese work.

Any ideas? If not, thanks for reading anyway! This one may just be lost forever!
