Just finished collecting all of them. Volume 8 came out last week? Probably my favorite manga, though might change my mind about that at some point. Besides all the horror elements the story is relatable. About growing up, experiencing loss, and changes with your body? LOL
The panels i remember are from its first chapters so i remember the mc being a school girl and as she was crossing a road or highway? with her friend, some dude got slash so quick no one saw him? or the entity? (i might be wrong sorry) but mc was left unscratched the incident got on the news then the next thing i remember is mc is in a forest i think someone i remember them being many? was chasing her and the entity was with her and until the end she decided to trust it a little and go with it.
I'm looking for a specific ero guro manga where the heroine is a shrine maiden who fights a demon boy by slice own arm with a knife and in the ending she becomes a demon too.
Hi ya'll, trying to remember a manga where i think some people sacrifice themselves to get eaten by monsters and the stronger the monster is, the stronger they become. The MC is eaten by one of the strongest monsters and his companions were impressed as that was a rare occurrence.
They come back to life to fight demons appearing from hell on earth or something along those lines. Also there's a sword that appears coming out from some persons palm.
It came out around the early 2000s, had gore and went for a small run i believe.
Thanks so much.
im the most insensitive person and i don’t care if it even contains brutal gore or something like that
I will read all of Junji stories and I want more so anything similar is accepted
Solved! Its "Scary Book vol 2: Insects" by Kazuo Umezo. The Japanese title is Chou no Haka translated to "Butterfly Grave"!
The gist was the girl had a trauma around butterflies so bad because it was triggering her ptsd from repressed memories. I don't remember the thing that even GAVE her the ptsd but it was probably like a murder or something. I think it had to do with a butterfly tattoo? IIRC she also started seeing a black butterfly as a bad omen right before something bad would happen (I think one of those bad things was an earthquake?). I believe the same author did a horror story about mirrors in an anthology?
I read these manga in my public library like 15 or so years ago and they were pretty old even then. I believe they were published in the 80s or 90s?
The art style I recall is like a mix between old school shojo and Junji Ito. I think the main character had black curly hair.
I'm going to Japan next year, and I want to find some rare and strange manga. (Waita Uziga, Suehiro Maruo, Shintaro Kago etc)
Where can I find old/new slasher manga? (I'm going to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Nagoya)
Do you know any stores or places where I can find these manga?
I already own some weird manga like Mai Chan Daily Life, Modern Stories of the Bizarre etc. (feel free to send recommendations on authors and manga as well)
thanks for your help !
Trying to remember a manga I read like 20 years ago. The art is fairly shoujo. The second word in the title might be Star but I might be off. Basically it starts off w a teen girl on summer vacation at some relatives on an island or port town. She comes accross a weird cutesy bloopy alien and it seems wholesome but it gets gnarly. Other teens also have alien buddies.
SPOILERS The scene that sticks out to me the most is a bunch of young women bullying another girl where they're kicking her trying to break a light bulb inside her. The victim ends up getting brutal revenge with her alien guy impaling the lead bully.
Hope someone can help me so I can re-traumatize myself! Thanks in advance!
I am a new acc in reddit help me how to use .
Thi is sick!!! I love the art style.
I wish this story had more chapters.
I feel like 90% of discussions are either Ito, Kago or Umezz. I wish authors like Kanako Inuki, Watari Chie, Noroi MIchiru, Watanabe Masako, Akemi Matsuzaki and many others were talked about more. and also more people reading horror manga that aren't seinen (most horror manga through the 70s-early 2000s were shoujo or josei. Ito mostly pubolished shoujo too lol)
Hope y'all enjoy! 😊👻
I heard the mixed reviews of the anime but regardless…..recently, Abby Trott (English dub voice actress of Kirie from the latest anime adaptation) commissioned me to draw Kirie. I thought I’d share it here! I hope you like it!
I’m a huge fan of extreme horror, and extreme horror manga, and I know that one of the most infamous extreme manga ever written is Mai Chan’s Daily Life. Not only is it incredibly controversial, but it’s also pretty hard to find in print. I know there are plenty of Japanese versions floating around on eBay and Amazon, but does anyone know if it was ever printed/sold in English? And if it was, does anyone know if there would be some place for me to get my hands on a copy of it?
Hi guys, I love horror manga, especially junji ito ( I have Uzumaki, tomie, and manu other volumes) and kazuo umezz ( Amazing drifting classroom, but I also like his other works) and I appreciate even Kago . Now, I was searching for new horror manga for my collection and I am curios about ptsd radio. I am wondering if It Is made by very short stories ( like seeds of anxiety) or if It Is made by normal long stories ( like junji ito's for exaple). Also if u can tell me more horror mangaka I would really appriciate
