Get out of the cold and have some fun!
Does anyone know if there are Christmas themed bars or restaurants in HHI or bluffton? Like have Christmas-themed cocktails?
Are there any places open for take out for Thanksgiving that have vegan options?
Hello everyone,
I am looking some somebody that has some photography experience that can take our proposal photos.
I will be proposing at the 18th hole Harbor town Overlook on December 7th and going to catch her as a surprise. I will take her onto the course and want the photographer to be looking out as a stranger until I propose and start taking photos!
Will Compensate well, just wanting professional portrait style photos for this incredible moment!
Is there somewhere on the island that we can buy lanterns pre-made for the lantern festival next weekend? I know people make gorgeous lanterns for the festival, but that's just not going to happen for us this year. Any ideas? Thanks!
Do any fire departments on the island have volunteers ? Or are all the positions full time
Hello everyone! My husband and I, along with our 2 girls (3 and 2) are planning a trip in June. My husband and I have stayed in Coligny Beach in years past and with our oldest before the youngest was born. We were considering staying in Sea Pines this year but curious to see what are your favorite areas with kids? Do we stick with Coligny because of its central location? With Sea Pines, we were looking at staying in Harbour Town because of the playground. Any condos you’d recommend that way? Thanks so much!
Decided to pop down to the island this coming week. Any bars planning to show the Tyson fight Friday?
First timers in HHI
Hi we are heading to HH this weekend. Sunday is our anniversary and I'm looking for recommendations for a nice place to have dinner. Not super fancy but something upscale with good food and nice/romantic atmosphere. We are staying at the Westin. TIA!
Hi everyone, I'll be coming down to visit my parents for Thanksgiving in a few weeks, and we're making our way through the island one restaurant a time. Last time I was down was last Christmas - what's opened since then? Any can't-miss places to eat that have opened in 2024? Open to all cuisines and budgets.
Also, has anyone been to Kenny B's in their new location? I hope they're faring well.
Hi all! I'm visiting my sister next month, and I need some reasonable hotel recommendations. I stayed at the Spark by Hilton last time, but wondered if anyone had other options they've liked! Also, does anyone have recommendations for activities to do by themselves on the island! I'm trying to make some good memories on the island this time around. :)
We come every March Break and LOVE our week there. But we've realized we've sort of just done the same things year in, year out and, now that our kids are getting older (12 and 10), they've grown out of a lot of our 'normal' activities. Any suggestions for things we may have missed? We always stay in Palmetto Dunes (love it there) and have done: dolphin cruise, Savannah, Coastal Discovery Museum, pirate ship park, Salty Dog, Crazy Crab, etc etc.
Fine with taking day trips, we'll have our car. Anything we may be missing?
I'm coming in for vacation January 5th, will most of the Christmas decorations around the island still be up? Specifically Shelter Cove area as that is where we're staying. Thanks!
Hi all. My husband and I are contemplating a quick getaway to Hilton Head and I am trying to decide where to stay. I think I have narrowed it down to the Omni, the Westin or the Beach House (the new tiki and location sparked my interest in this one). Any strong opinions on which we should choose? TIA!
How bored will I be?
To preface: my girlfriend's family wants a family vacation there. I'm 42 and hate sitting around, especially on vacation. From what I can tell, it's all golf courses (can't even attempt anymore due to a back injury). So, as an older Canadian guy who likes to explore and likes some adventure and culture on vacations, how will this go for me?
Going on vacation in January and would love to know what I should get!
I'm planning a 4-day golf trip, Ryder Cup Style, with the guys (mid 30s) in March/April timeframe and wondering if there are specific golf courses I should book for the "Championship Round" where things will certainly get a bit rowdy after the round is complete. Current itinerary is: Day1 Travel in+ Old South Golf Links; Day2 Atlantic Dunes + Heron Point; Day3 (Championship Round) Golden Bear Golf Club.
Is Golden Bear Golf Club good for our final round, or should I look at a different course on island? We should have 8 to 12 of us. The thought for the final round is once complete, we head into the club house and celebrate with beer, liquor, and food.
Recommendations for places to stay w 2 toddlers. Looking for a 3 bedroom on ocean with a kids pool (& a restaurant ) does that exist ?
We usually go to Kiawah Island and love it there. The places we usually stay are already booked month of April, so looking to HHI..
Just found out that Nectar closed and we are super bummed. Is there any similar breakfast or brunch spots?
Hey!
I have recently moved on the island long-term and I work at a restaurant. where are some places i can check out to meet people my age and start making some friends?
Will be goin to HHI in November for work for a few days. Will be traveling with wife and baby. Where is the best place to stay? Wife and baby will spend day at hotel/beach/pool and hopefully walkable to some kind of stores and restaurants. Was looking at Westin and Omni, but doesn’t seem like there is much else around those. Will have a car as well. Thanks!
Anyone have any recommendations for either spots or charters?
Hi all! My kids' Fall Break falls over Halloween so we are heading that way for a mini-vacation. I don't want my kids to entirely miss out on trick or treating, so does anyone know of any Trunk or Treat events or have suggestions for where we can trick or treat on Halloween?
Will be in town for my wife’s conference next week. Playing Hilton Head National on Thursday, but torn on where to play Friday.
I’m a 17+ handicap and would like a course that won’t mind a high handicap golfer, will allow me to use my new driver, and is in good shape. Not terribly concerned with price, given the opportunity to be in town for free. Ideally want to find something around $150 or less, but if there’s a must-try course, I’ll pay up.
Currently eyeing Oyster Reef and would prefer to try a course on the island. Looked into Golden Bear and it seems it might be pretty narrow/not driver friendly. Correct me if I’m wrong though.
Thanks in advance!
hi! i'm visiting next month with my family and wanted to plan a surprise cheesy family portraits session like people have been doing at JC Penneys.. I don't see one on the island so started looking at other photography prices and they're pretty expensive so just wondering if anyone knows of a place similar to JC Penneys on the island that does cheaper indoor portraits? not looking to do the whole beach pictures thing.. just something lowkey and not even that many pics 🤷🏼♀️
