Anyone else hear loud booms about 5 minutes ago? Our whole neighborhood did by Wilson road golf course
Anyone know where I could find a cement goose?
I’ve seen this guy 3-4x now around Hilliard and he tailgates people hard, has an absurdly bright rectangular light bar in the front of his truck, weaves in and out of traffic, and is just generally an asshole driver. Anyone else encountered this guy? I believe it’s an all black custom Dodge Ram.
Curious as to the inconsistencies in raised crosswalks/speedbumps across the city. I’m of the opinion that the new speedbumps near the new rec center are too high/raised. You have roundabouts near the YMCA on Cosgray that were just built that are barely raised. The roundabout with crosswalks at Scioto Darby and Main and Cemetery and Main are actually in school zones, and are barely raised. The crosswalks in the roundabouts on Britton Parkway are barely raised as well.
Looking at the area to move and have a toddler currently. What are the stereotypes and such for each of the high schools? Is one significantly better in any areas than another? Thanks
Looking for recommendations on local shops to get holiday gifts from! I figure it would be a good way to support local businesses as well as get something more thoughtful for my family than something from Amazon. I'm shopping for my brother, sister in law, their toddler, and baby girl. They also live in Hilliard so maybe somewhere with Hilliard specific representation would be cool!
Does anyone know why there are thousands of white bollards all of a sudden citywide along the major streets?
Finally tried this place after hearing a decent amount of good reviews. I tried the Classis w/ Bacon on an Everything.
While I will say it was pretty delicious, holy hell was it SALTY.
Is it just me, or is that consensus? I don't salt my food and always buy low sodium options, so maybe I'm sensitive?
All I could taste was salt, like they over-salted each ingredient individually.
Hi neighbors. We are new to Hilliard and need two reliable service recommendations for our home: 1. a locksmith, and 2. someone who can clean a long under-floor dryer vent tube.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Why has the power gone out again? This is not a big storm. Has been happening with more frequency. Never occurred in the 12 years I have been here until Amazon moved in and ripped everything up.

Don’t forget all those school levy signs as well. Doing my part for my community.
I love Hilliard. My wife and I moved here a few months ago and enjoy the quiet, peaceful nature of it. We go to the park on Cosgray and also to a few others. We are in our 30s and 40s, married, no kids.
We live in Hoffman Farms--but one thing we noticed is the neighbors don't really interact--is that a thing? We don't have block parties or community events like I thought. It's not bad, was just curious. I have a neighbor on either side of me but I rarely see them.
Such a nice town though; I don't mind the roundabouts and am glad the one by Alton-Darby and Cosgray is open.
With 73 of 76 precincts within Hilliard School District reporting, there are 25,631 votes in favor of the issue and 22,266 against.
I've seen a few flyers against Crystal Lett (running for state representative) put out by the Ohio House Republican Alliance (OHRA). I don't know a whole lot about Lett's views and policies, but it seems like the so-called strikes against her are pretty far-fetched, sleazy, and lazy.
I just wanted to bring some counter-research to the points in the flyer in case anyone is taking it at face value.
I'm trying to have an overhead light/fan installed in a bedroom, but want to work with a reliable electrician. Does anyone have suggestions or recommendations for ones they've worked with?
Some of the Baby Boom generation who have benefited from from the massively lower cost of schools, college, housing, healthcare, and pretty much everything else during the 1970’s, 80s, and 90s are now trying to convince everyone that we need to have a major layoff of teachers, increase in class sizes, and slipping of educational standards so our kids and families suffer the consequences of the absurdly short sighted economic policies of the baby boomer generation. Just because they’ve sucked the value out of every public good they themselves benefitted from and directed all the tax money to huge prescription drug benefits for old people and tax cuts for themselves doesn’t mean we need to tell our kids they’re SOL. Everyone is going to have to cough up a little bit more for the next 10 to 15 years to keep educational and other standard up while we try to overcome the rapacious imbalance between the benefits they have given themselves and the costs they have left on our ledger. An increase in property based taxes inherently claws some of that money back to use for our kids since they are the ones who own much of the land and property at absurdly low interest and tax rates. We are voting for the levy and anything else that statistically takes money from wealthy older citizens on a sliding scale and uses that money for the public benefit of the generation below us in very specific and defined way like school investment. We are Gen X and we are doing fine. I want to see some (and it doesn’t have to be a lot), but some value transferred from grandpa and grandma to grandson and granddaughter. Our grandparents did it for us on a massive scale. Time for the boomers to step up and do the right thing. Good schools are the definition of community. That’s where everything starts. We can and should afford this.
Does anyone remember what the Caresource building in hilliard (Mill Run) used to be called or leased to around the 2000's. I worked there and was telling someone about that building but it's lost on me the name and for the life of me can't remember. And its driving me crazy lol.
