Did he think it was "funny?" Was it meant be "edgy" ie: hateful in some way? Is that dude's thing just trying make people feel uncomfortable?
I just, I usually see some logic to weirdos like that in that. there's some kind of grift behind it, where they're making money somehow. But, flat earthers I just...
Hey, did anyone compile a list of the Youtubers Harry recs at the end of the Plagiarism vid? Looking to start 2025 with some well-crafted content,
Happy Monday, champs! How's things?
I know it seems silly amidst the all of this that's going on to be talking about YouTube videos, but art is important too. Art brings hope and distraction. Art gives color and perspective. Art instills empathy and community. Art is necessary.
So spread some community and strength please. What were your favorite videos these last two weeks?
Loose rules:
Last week's good themed videos can be found here and their descriptions here .
** Edited to add: apologies for the Gaiman jumpscare. It's the thumbnail for The Leftist Cooks' video on monstrous celebrities as recommended on last week's thread and separately in the sub. If it made you feel a certain way, I highly recommend watching the video. It speaks directly to that feeling.
Can someone please explain the honey glazed or pineapple slices joke from the roast featured in the plagiarism video? I’ve rewatched the video multiple times, but I’ve never understood that joke. Thanks in advance :)
Because one is a far bigger problem
Even if you are a xenophobic piece of shit that hates immigrants. Climate change is and will continue to pressure refugees to come. So even then you should worry about climate change first.
Why isn’t climate change the number one issue in all politics ever. Because it should be.why isn’t the ocean Atlantic collapse on the front page of every news source
The Leftist Cooks is an awesome creator of political content that i have recently discovered, all of their videos are great. some are even awesome! and have alot of great research and interesting things to say.
they have two videos that i personally think are awesome:
Housing Tv is Selling a Scam and Capitalism and The Body
the reason im pushing this into your leftie skulls is because this channel only has like 77K subscribers. and is fully patreon supported.
they make awesome videos. they are funny and charming. and their videos made me think about really important issues in a pretty understandable way. AND THEY CITE SOURCES!
theres even an hbomberguy reference in Even Leftists don't talk about animals which is think was pretty funny
i think that anyone who is interested in Hbombs more political content should go check them out. and if you aren't. do it anyway. they are queer creators. and i think they deserve your attention. plus. all of their content is long form video essays. all done by a very funny and very interestingly dressed Irishmen.
so check em out. because they are awesome. and their content deserves more attention. if you like them as well. i highly recommend pushing their channel to everyone you know. for funsies.
I never use YouTube on mobile so seeing sponsored stuff is strange.
Rewatching plagiarism and you(tube) in one part hbomberguy draws on top of John green as a demon why?
Hello, first time posting. I know Tommy is a well talked about guy for how he took credit for so many things he didn't do, so I wanted to do a little extra with that.
Over a period of time since the video, a high number of people, me included, have been looking into trying to find as much about the people who did work for Tommy, and I wanted to make what is likely going to be a fairly long post going over as many of the composers that are currently known.
There's also a W.I.P Google Sheets page made by me and others, which aims to give credit wherever we can to the people who did work on these titles.
If I've missed anyone at all, new finds come up or an inaccuracy is present, let me know and I'll fix it.
Todd Dennis
One of the more common names you'll find from Tommy Tallarico Studios, from about 1996 to around 2005 with Advent Rising, he was a fairly prolific composer for Tommy, doing a multitude of games, some examples being Black Dawn, Pac-Man World, MDK, Adrenix and Skeleton Warriors.
Joey Kuras
Obviously, A Tommy Tallarico list has to have the man himself, Joey Kuras. Being one of Tommy's most prolific hires, doing sound design for Tommy for many, many years.
Mark Steven Miller
More commonly shortened to just Mark Miller, a person who should be known well for doing work on GEMS. He did a bunch of music implementations (including Earthworm Jim for the SNES), as well as music for RoboCop versus The Terminator and I believe The Jungle Book.
Tony Bernetich
Someone who mostly got shoved to the sidelines with credit. He's the composer who did a majority of the tracks for Earthworm Jim 2, Andy Asteroids for Earthworm Jim 1, songs for Spot Goes To Hollywood and Madden NFL '96. Please give this man some love by visiting his Reverbnation page, he deserves the recognision he was screwed with.
Donald S. Griffin
His main known works for Tommy are with the Genesis versions of Aladdin and The Jungle Book for Virgin. He also did the opening tune to Monopoly Deluxe for MS-DOS, which would later be used in Cool Spot as the Parade Tune.
Michael "Bijan" Johnson
Originally going by the name "Bijan Shaheer", Michael has done a number of songs for Tommy, primarily ones featuring guitar. Some of which being "Future Shock" in the Sega CD version of The Terminator, Guitar in the PS1 Demo Disc & Lorenzens Soil for Earthworm Jim 2, as well as a number of tracks with Cybertone Music.
Gordon Madison
One of the heads of the music group "Cybertone Music", along with Michael "Bijan" Johnson. Together, they did a fair few game tracks for Tommy. Their games include Redline, Treasures of the Deep (Dive), VMX Racing (E.g. Over The Edge & Buzz), Adrenix and Burning Road (E.g. Mission X).
Mical Pedriana
A lot of his contributions are just broad game names, with him being stated to have done work for Earthworm Jim (E.g. Buttville & Falling) and Spot Goes To Hollywood, along with sound design for other titles.
Keith Arem
Some may know Keith from the game Toonstruck, he's done work for Earthworm Jim, Demolition Man (Sega CD and 3DO), The Jungle Book, Spot Goes To Hollywood and other titles.
Sascha Dikiciyan
Also known as Sonic Mayhem, he's only done two known games for Tommy. Those being Wild 9 (E.g. Tunnel Love & Craterscape) and 007: Tomorrow Never Dies.
Howard Ulyate
Also known under an alias, Bob Knarley, he's done tracks for games like Spider-Man 2000, 007: Tomorrow Never Dies and Maximo: Ghosts to Glory.
Steven S. Henifin
Mostly either credited for samples or sounds, he does have some mentions for music, such as Cool Spot with Wall Tune, Super Caesars Palace on the SNES and Cinematic Music for The Terminator on the Sega CD.
Charlie Malone
Owner of Supernova Sound, he's done work for Demolition Man (specifically the 3DO version) and Pac-Man World Rally.
Jack Wall
One of the composers for Evil Dead: Hail to the King, Unreal II: The Awakening and helped co-found VGL with Tommy.
Chris Rickwood
He's done work for Evil Dead: Hail to the King, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory (E.g. Crushed Spirits & Go With The Floe) and additional music for BloodRayne.
Eric Swanson
Owner of Sierra Pelona Music. He did music for Wild C.A.T.S on the SNES and Skeleton Warriors.
Mike Rubino
A semi-regular composer that Tommy brought on after Todd left. He's done songs for games like Pac-Man World Rally (E.g. Lunar Launch), Jaws Unleashed, Flip's Twisted World, Defendin' De Penguins and Snoopy vs. The Red Baron.
Rob Abernethy
He's done music for Pac-Man World Rally (Rolling Hills), Jaws Unleashed and Defendin' De Penguins.
Michael Richard Plowman
The main composer for Advent Rising. He also wrote some tracks for Maximo vs. Army of Zin.
Jean-Christophe Beck
He did one track for Earthworm Jim 2 (Anything But Tangerines) and some tracks for Skeleton Warriors.
Rob King
Owner of Green Street Studios. He's mentioned for doing music for the cancelled game Black 9 and Maximo vs. Army of Zin, along with additional audio design and VO for Advent Rising and The Bard's Tale.
There have been a lot of people mentioned over the games that Tommy Tallarico was a part of through the years, This additional list is here primarily so that they can get their name out there still.
Happy Theme Monday, fellow doomscrollers.
The world is heckin' scary right now, and while it's comforting to just ignore that feeling, it might be better if we faced it.
With that in mind, I'm calling this themed thread the "this is fine" edition.
So, tell me, what's wrong with the world? What makes you angry? What worries you? What do we need to pay more attention to?
This probably goes without saying, but please try to stay away from actual hate-watching; it's a recommendations thread after all.

Last week's regular very good videos can be found here, with the accompanying reasonings here.
Comment spotted 'in the wild' on YouTube on a Karl Jobst video about a Russian YouTuber who appears to be plagiarising other creator's content. Just thought I'd share as I stumbled across it while watching the video. (Not quite sure how it ended up with a line across it...)
Just doing my annual rewatch of The War On Christmas: A Measured Response. Round about the 37 minute mark, Harry takes a drink from his Coraline mug, which he theorizes has leeched paint chips into his nog. At that point, he says, "Thanks, Neil," all sarcastic. Given what's come out about Neil, it just struck me as extra ironic.
Thanks, Harry. (/gen)
animals (meat) do(es) scream when they are slaughtered :(
I like hbomberguy but never much liked this line in the OOF video.
Pathologic all over again but Ukrainian!
I used my sick day to watch old Harris video I never watched. I had a great time (and fever seems to improve the viewing experience).
But the cultural Marxism one made me uncomfortable. You really see that Harris is living in 2015, in a pre-Trump, pre-Brexit, pre-Bolsonaro etc...world where these morons can be laugh at as they seem inoffensive (or can, at best, be limited to gamergate-like movements).
In retrospect I really don't like these videos as they seem to not take seriously the threat of these guys (and the myriad of assholes they will give birth to). Almost 10 years later, they are winning (or at least are stronger than they were). Definitely think it was a bad strat to just laugh at them (fuelled the rethoric of these guys and downplay their threats to others) and I'm sure the videos would have been way different if made today.
Was my 2 cents! Ok, have to watch another masterpiece.
I can't find it on the hbomberguy channel lol, I swear he talks about the travel system and the silt striders and whatnot.
Ever since I was a wee lad I've enjoyed (maybe needed?) having some white noise to fall asleep to. It was night baseball games when I was young, sometimes it's been light music, for a few years it was Ricky Gervais' radio show/podcast, then it was Some More News (specifically the three-hour Jordan Peterson episode). And for the last six months, it's been Hbomberguy. I love that the plagiarism episode is four hours long, so I can start it in a random part and hear something that I've not heard fifty times already. I also enjoy the Ooof episode, and the Andrew Wakefield one. I think it's his voice. Friendly, mildly reassuring, slightly happy? Does anyone else like falling asleep to Harry talking in the background?
Happy Monday, pals, how are we holding up?
It's December, can you believe it? Tempus continues to fugit, it seems.
Well, only one thing for it, I guess. Let's close the curtains, snuggle up under the blankets, watch some videos and hide from reality. Who's with me? And what'll we watch?
