My best friend’s Hyundai was stolen from his new apartment on the first night. License plate BL59293, 2013 black Hyundai Elantra. If you can give me info on where this car is, I will pay you. My friend only has liability coverage and JUST purchased this car. Please help me help him.
hello! we are looking at an apartment on bethel st but are a little put off by all of the posts saying clay arsenal is unsafe. the people we have been speaking to say it's usually pretty quiet though, with the cemetery etc. what is everyone's general opinion on that street/area?
If I lost my ticket for parking across from Union Station, would I just pay the $105 fee, or would it be $105 plus the amount I would have paid to park there? Do they still know your license plate to get the amount it would cost to park there with the ticket?
Hi all, flight crew here regularly doing Hartford overnights staying in the downtown area. I’ve a long layover coming up before Xmas and looking for some stuff to do to keep busy. Are there any group run meet ups or other active activities I could rock up to? Thanks!
I am on the hunt for any hair stylist that does shag haircuts or id even settle for someone who specializes in alt haircuts. Anywhere in Hartford county, I'm willing to travel, I'm tired of the same old same old
Hi! :) I will come to Trinity as an international student in 2025 and was just wondering if anyone has any tips for that? I have already heard students usually stay on campus. Does anyone study there and can tell me anything about the housing and which ones are to recommend?
I will be solo this year and I am looking for an amazing take out option in the Hartford area. My first choice is Indian buffet, lunch or dinner, but many have closed since COVID and obviously it is a big ask on Thanksgiving.
What is your go-to? Indian and / or buffet is a top choice, but I am open to all veg friendly suggestions within 30 ish mins of Hartford. Share some favorites!
Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving!
I don't celebrate the holiday and don't particularly want to be indoors all by my lonesome. What are some good bars/hookah lounges open during Thanksgiving?
I'm moving in from Cali for a job opportunity in Downtown, and am planning on renting a place either downtown or somewhere commutable by bus because I don't want to spend on a car. I have been looking into apartments along the Asylum Ave area and Wethersfield Ave area, because of frequent bus arrivals (which are a huge plus for me) and proximity. I was wondering if these are fine areas to live at and if there's specific places/specific apartments I should avoid. The apartments downtown are generally more expensive, but I am open to options and advice.
Along with this, it seems like the grocery stories are rather far away and I would have to make a trip via bus/uber to get groceries. How viable of an option is grocery delivery here?
Also, any advice/things to bring for me who's moving in this winter and as someone who hasn't experienced chilly winters, I guess other than winter clothes?
Thank you!
I go to supercuts normally for my hair and they do my basic fade just fine, but looking to get my beard done well. Any suggestions? Downtown would be ideal but I'm flexible.
I recently got a job offer for Travelers Insurance, they want me to relocate to Hartford. I'm originally from NYC so the move wont be too far but I wanted to know what's the vibe of Hartford? How is the nightlife, is it walk-able? I'm trying to get an apt close to work so I don't have to buy a car, but will still need to get groceries and all that. Also I'm planning to spend the weekends in NYC, it is safe to take the train from Hartford station at night?
Would appreciate any and all advice! Thanks in advance
I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a reliable way to get from Hartford to Boston in time for an early morning flight. I’d need to get to the airport by around 6AM, but all of the services I’ve called would be ~$300 one way.
My family is meeting in Hartford/around that area after Thanksgiving for an afternoon together. We're a group of 12, colleg aged and up. Does anyone have any suggestions of things to do? Thanks in advance
Just did a google search and saw that bid that accurate. If so? …wtf? That’s insane
I remember going to this restaurant years ago, and haven’t been back in a while…a huge fan of all the max restaurants and will be in Hartford for a show in December. Anyone have any recent experiences or opinions?
Hi, I’m visiting hartford for the UConn vs USC game next month and I was wondering if anybody has experienced sleeping in the airport? My flight is the night before but it won’t get in until around midnight with no delays and i’m a little tight on money right now so instead of paying for an extra night that I will barley get to experience I want to try to stay at the airport until check in time.
Just as the title says! I really want to Be able to take some beautiful pictures while we’re there. We’re from NJ so we are up for suggestions for cool things around!
Hey! I'm moving to Hartford and I'm stuck between 2 places: 99 Pratt and 55 elm. Both are studios and I haven't had a chance to tour 55 elm in person. If anyone has an experience with either place I'd love to hear your insight. TIA
Hey all I’m a 34 year old guy who moved here 5 months ago. My job is pretty demanding and my 8 year relationship kinda fell apart during the change. Been a little introverted since but really want to get out now and kinda restart. I live in downtown. I like staying fit either in the gym or outside, always down for bars and restraints, trivia, movies, gaming etc.
I missed the spark sport leagues which I think would have been a good option but I don’t wanna wait for that to come around again. Any suggestions helpful.
Moving to the area after I have a baby to be closer to family and need to know where the best dirty martini is. Thank you!!
I just recently bought ice skates to begin lessons in December. It has become apparent to me through social media and other forums that you can’t just get your skates sharpened anywhere.
Thank you all for taking the time to read! I look forward to reading your recommendations.
Feng Chophouse looks excellent and is at the top of the list for my next visit...
looking for recommendations for smaller, family-type places
thanks!
Something came up so I now have two tickets for sale for Josh Johnson’s 4pm show at the Funny Bone Comedy Club AT A HUGE DISCOUNT

Hi guys, I’m going to be visiting for work soon. Planning to catch an Uber one or 2 nights to check out the night life. Is Pratt St the place to go?
I’m also planning to rent a car one day to do a little more long distance exploring as well if you guys have any recs for photography. Never been to Connecticut so excited to try to see everything I can.
Taking the bus to NYC in the morning. How early do I need to get there? Already have ticket. Was thinking 15-20 min? TIA
We live by travelers and would like to walk there.
My friends and I used to frequent Little River Restoratives prior to COVID when we used to go out more. We're looking to visit again for nostalgia but read some conflicting online reviews that it is closed. Looking at their social media, it hasn't been updated in a while.
Anyone know if they're still operating?
