The ups and downs of ArenaNet's Guild Wars 2 economy.

Why are Apothecary items worth more on the market than most other things. I would think something like berserkers would be worth more, but it barely makes profit from the raw items. Is this market manipulation? Meme builds? Something I don't understand?
This is in silver pieces and the cost is the price to buy all the raw ingredients on the market
I know that ectos can be obtained by salvaging rare items but I don't get that much rare items and buying them from tp will take away all the money I have... I am working on onsidian armor so I need 600 ectos per piece but I don't know how to get that much I have essence and all just need ecto. Is there any way I can farm them or rare item fast or efficiently...or.. Like which meta or WB Can drop them and what amount can be expected?
Is there a site that helps you figure out the best use converting certain materials into gold? Fast farming isn't comprehensive, and I'm looking for something closer to the old gw2spidey, which is down. Any ideas?
I am not a raider, but I would like a Djinn Teleportation Device for my guild hall.
How much would be a fair "head hunter" price for someone to sell me one of these? Obviously more than 20g, but how much is each Magnetite Shard worth?
Green and Blue Unids are the most purchased items on the Trading Post.I have the copper fed, runecrafter and silver fed salvage kits.
I have tried buying unids (over 50 stacks) from the TP and salvaging them with the kits and sell the materials. Copper fed for blue, runecrafter for green and silver fed for yellow.
But the gold earned for the time taken doesn't seem worth it. And I ended up losing gold some of the times.
So why is it still the most purchased item? Am I missing something?
I’ve been hoarding some unidentified gear but my friend says to salvage it instead?
So I’ve been playing on Pc for about 3-4 weeks and guild wars has been the only game I’ve played, I won’t lie I skipped the story and went straight into leveling after playing for a while I think I’ve finally found the class I’d like to main and even went as far as getting a build started for said class (lvl.80 holo engineer), naturally I’m lost in the sauce now and I’m not sure what direction to go, I’m heavy on pve but I don’t mind trying new things recently I’ve been going back and playing through the story but the game is so vast I’d like to take another step deeper.
I have accumulated a couple thousand legendary shards. Seems a shame to just destroy them, but I have no interest in legendaries and they don't seem to be useful for anything else. As it is, they're just eating up vault space.
Basically the title, i have ~3k planks and am wondering what you guys use them for. I don't need them for legendaries.
Im a Master Chef but for some reason I cannot craft Peppercorn-Crusted Sous-Vide Steak and probably other Ascended foods But I can craft a few? Why is there a limitation on what I can "discover?" I have all of the ingredients-I checked on Wiki
Returning player here. I've been working on a new site for a few months now (https://www.gw2fortune.com) and hope that I might draw some interest from some players roaming this subreddit. Also open to all feedback.
Let me know what you think and what I can do to better serve the community.
Thank you so much for any advice you might be willing to share <3
Hi guys, haven't seen someone sell guild decorations for months in gw2 exchange. Do people still buy these and what are current prices?
Also if someone is interested, you can DM me. (SARUMAAAAAN.5794)
When trading high demand high volume items, how long are you normally waiting before you reorder items? I am waiting around 2 hours, but I am quickly getting overbid.
Similarly, how long do you wait before you relist items you had for sale? I am usually waiting around 12 hour here, because I am hoping to not lose too much.
Some input would be cool from people trading high demand items! Have a good day :-)
Items I search for is similar to this profile: https://www.gw2profits.com/spread.php?order=buy_combo1&price_choice=current&search_name=&min_coin=0&min_coin_day=0&min_percent=10&min_percent_day=0&velocity_min=1500
Hi, does anybody have a indication for the current value of a 250-Slot Guild Bank?
Hey I've been saving up the one per day ascended materials and now I'm wanting to make things for coin, what should I make for the best money?
You should sell at 8PM on a weekend, who would've thought /s
UTC+3 Timezone
Another point is how long on average you get a sell or a buy order filled, for me most of my buys and sells are flipping items so counting all my buys and sells on average it takes about 12 days for an item to be sold, and 18 hours for a buy order to be fulfilled
I feel like there is such a huge supply of any item pre-EOD that they all got dirt cheap. Anet didn't even try to fix this in EOD by rebalancing demand or supply, they just added new materiels that are needed to craft legendaries and stuff. (ambergis, jade chunk, ASS, memory or aurene etc.)
Is it too late to balance the price of the old materiels, or anet will just keep adding new stuff to keep the new lege prices higher?
i am new at flipping in gw2 and i saw the pinned post but some cuestions pop up in my head (i am not a native english speaker so sorry for my but writing), i want to understand these: sold, bids, offer, etc...
I'm honestly bummed that the cheap food and utility items are no longer included in trick or treat bags. It was always a good way to stock up, and it made gambling for the better drops feel a little better. Anet apparently did this because of the abysmal research notes system.
I think this is going to cause the price of the bags and gifts to drop long term as they'll be less desirable, but it may cause candy corn and snowflakes to increase as people will eventually stop opening as many bags.
Thoughts?
So I never played the tp, I just don't feel like it's fun, if I want to do that, I do it irl. But now I wanna get all of the gen3 legs and their variants + some other stuff, so need some more gold, are there any low risk tp plays that don't require me doing tp for hours? Just buy, list and wait it out?
I have about 30k pure gold, maybe 40k liquid across my accounts.
I am a relatively new player (Spring this year). This will be my first Halloween event. Both Dragon Bash and Festival of the Four Winds were my main sources of substantial gold so far. What are the best ways to capitalize on the Halloween event for maximum gold income during the event and in the months following? I have four 80s, one of them a Mirage/Chrono I could use for tagging. Also have the tomes and tokens so I could kit out a shortbow thief, as I read that might be better.
Supply has droped from 61k to 600
Hey there,
So a short backstory for context on my "economy" experience.
For the 5 years my main income was precursor gambling. I've managed to craft whole light legendary armor set, 5 Gen 1 weapons and the Fractal Backpack. I was sitting on 600-800g all the time, getting anxious whenever I've dropped in the 300s.
I'm playing very casually and now I'm sitting at 560g with ~400g in skins that I'm waiting to sell till they raise in price. I also have gathered enough materials to craft Aurene's Leggy with a cost of around 300g. I have never sold a legendary, but I'm thinking about changing it now. My plan is to craft Aurene's Claw (I have the free precursor), sell it and craft it again cuz I want the dagger and I like the skins. I have no idea however how well legendaries sell, especially Aurene's ones. I assume Gen 1 sell quite easy, but Aurene's are expensive, not many of them on the TP and I'm afraid it will take ages to sell.
The rough math would leave me at a comfy 1000+ g after crafting > selling > crafting again.
Any advice from people that sell leggies regularly?
I have 9 alt accounts so I have nearly 500 laurels a month to convert into mats to sell.
If I use the overflow trading discord I can keep an extra 5% over the trading post and have a guaranteed sale, but at the same time I also have sell in quantities of 250 sets as well as watch that posting like a hawk to find a buyer.
So, fellow Ferengi of GW2, how many laurels or stacks of resources do you think is worth all that hassle for an extra 5% and lot sum?
