Hey, y'all!
I just watched Gunbuster for the first time on Crunchyroll and really enjoyed it! Noriko's screams were really something else, but I have heard rumors that there was a redub of her screams at some point?
Besides having no idea why they would do such a thing, is there a video comparison between the two somewhere?
Just curious!
The vibe was completely different from gunbuster, however it was still fantastic
Also the ending hit so damn hard I really thought this was set tens of thousands of years after noriko and Kazumi make it back not before...
So anyone knew exactly what happened to the Eltreum? in ep 6 of diebuster the ruins of Eltreum was briefly shown but there were no other ships around.
Did the crew (especially Jung) safely got back home or were they just left there and forgotten?
How did it even get its front half basically incinerated when it was already warped away from the Black hole bomb?
For years I have been thinking by these lights to come out of Gunbuster? Are these their souls? I don't know it only comes to mind because they never explained it
I loved Diebuster so much as a sequel that my mind started to melt. Both Gurren LAGANN and Kill La Kill are in my Top 3 of favorite anime, and I think the gunbuster series just took 1st. It such a perfect ending that I couldn’t possibly ask for anything more.
I REALLY wish this show experienced more celebration and popularity, because I know that while it must be easy for people to write it off for its fanservice and for being maybe a little stupid, I found the show to be so much more enriching and unique than I could’ve ever imagined. It’s so over the top and ridiculous that I never once was bored. Both the original 80s Gunbuster and Diebuster were emotional rollercoasters that deserve so much love.
I know the number of fans for Gunbuster must be small, But know that the numbers have increased by 1. It might be my absolute favorite show now, and I will definitely share my love for it.
