I’m in my 30s now and started watching in middle school and I love how I can relate/or empathize with the characters differently with age and life experience. A testament to brilliant writing - well you know for the first decade with a few standouts until 14.
it KILLS me when arizona says this during the musical episode bc BRO NO IT DIDNT, you weren’t paying attention to the road!!! 😭😭😭
So I’m rewatching the series for the first time since I first binged it during covid lockdowns. I just watched 06x06 “I Saw What I Saw” and I have to say it’s one of the most clever episodes I’ve seen thus far. I love how it’s edited. Some scenes feel like it was one take but we keeps cutting back and forth to different POVs. It’s also such a tense episode. LOVED IT
I’m rewatching Grey’s, and I’ve reached the plane episode again...My heart aches even more during the episode considering everything going on in the world. Also Lexie&Mark forever<3 There’s an ache that’s always there for them.
Like the guy has been there for super long and must be I don't know how old now.
I find it so hard to hear George saying 'she's insecure' about Callie to Izzie while of course Callie is insecure, she doesn't have a traditional beauty type compared to Izzie and George's attitude is clearly bad; if she had been with another man Callie might not have been insecure! and then George and Izzie laugh about it. I don't like that at all--this kind of plot where it's empahized that because you don't have a traditional beauty it's a threat. George laughing is really an ass move, I hate him god!
Of course Callie was insecure. It was just so assholy of George to behave like that. For what it's worth I think Callie was x1000 in higher league than George. I think this comment says all we need to know about him.
Hey there, so I watch Grey's Anatomy, I am a very big fan of it, I am currently on season 18, episode 5, and Miller from station 19, died in this episode. I am very very attached to Grey's Anatomy, and I love it, even though it gets bad sometimes, and a lot of people left, but I still love it, and I was thinking of watching station 19 sometime after Grey's Anatomy, since Deluca gets shot there and I never felt like I saw a complete exit of the character, Carina has her girlfriend and I want to explore that, and specially because I LOVE Ben Warren, I love him so much I can watch him in anything. But now I realize since there are many crossovers that I really know a lot about it, I know that Vic's fiancee dies, I know that Miller dies, I know that Ben gets cancer, I know that Vic and Jackson date, so is it worth it? Is it a good show? Is it a bad show? Is it better or worse than Grey’s Anatomy (specifically the early/ best seasons)? If anyone had watched it, give me your opinion please, thank you!
His personality was gross. Like, he had to tell Denny that he and Izzie were a thing, all while knowing Denny had a heart condition, and then later in the episode Denny starts having complications. I'm not saying it's Alex's fault, per se, but he was so slimy and intimidated by Denny that he put aside any thought of his heart problems, and decided to drop a bomb.
Doing a rewatch from the start and made it to season 13 and omg… i don’t remember hating everything about this season. Everything with Minnick is awful and Kepner acting like she earned chief of general surgery when she’s not even a general surgeon? I don’t remember being so annoyed by EVERYTHING this season.
Now, Meredith be on that bullshit, but this scene was the most proud I've ever been of Meredith. I would've taken those sheers and... 😂
They let Perfect Pretty Penny be a doc again?
GSW Vic gonna be ded.
I’m on my umpteenth rewatch and I’m in the middle of season 10 and I’m sad to say but watching as an adult, Im losing more and more respect for Christina. She is so obsessed with Owen, its ruining her character for me. The fact that she stayed with him at all after he screamed “you killed our baby” at a childs birthday party is asinine. And then she thinks SHE did something wrong by having the abortion and basically grovels for his forgiveness. For a female surgeon whose supposed to be as “badass” as Christina usually is, to have a fucking pro life DOCTOR bf is so embarrassing. THEN HE CHEATS ON HIS WIFE WEEKS BEFORE THE MOST IMPORTANT EXAM OF HER ENTIRE LIFE AND SHE STAYS WITH HIM!!!! I understand the plane crash makes things 100x more complicated and makes cheating seem like no big deal in the grand scheme of life but idk man. When she locked herself in the bathroom and was like “i should be studying for my boards but instead im stuck in the bathroom crying because of a boy”, your like, okay she gets it phew, but then for her to just completely forget about it is a little outrageous to me. But i can give her a little grace cause of all the trama yada yada BUT THEN. They finally get divorced for good, Owen moves on with that Emma lady… AND CRISTINA SLEEPS WITH HIM WHILE HE HAS A GF!!!! GIRL WHAT!!!!!!! And then she has the AUDACITY to be surprised and ask “what why?” when Mer tells her that Hunt and Emma broke up?? maybe its just cause im watching this while america descends into fascism bc of ppl like Owen so I’m extra ticked off by the mere sight of him but watching someone so intelligent and strong become so blindsided and foolish by that thing is incredibly disappointing. okay rant over sorry plz dont crucify me too much idk what the vibes are on this sub for criticizing fan favorites 💀
The most amicable & caring breakup I've seen on this show. The end. Are there anymore amicable & caring breakups you can think of?
this might be an unpopular opinion but, I think izzie and Lexie would have been amazing in psych. the way they talked and acted towards patients, the way Lexie handled the schizophrenic and the way izzie knew that the lady didnt want to take the bar exam and was hurting herself on purpose just shows how attentive they are and I think they would have thrived in psych. I also think if izzie went into psych she wouldn't have left. and if Lexie went into psych she wouldn't have gotten on the plane and she would still be alive and so would mark because he didnt die of heartbreak and they would be married with kids.
Hello! So, I'm having a Grey's themed birthday party, and I'm having trouble brainstorming possible food ideas. I'd like them to be Grey's/Medicine related. Any ideas would be appreciated, Thanks!!
Owen is being so ridiculously obvious when he delivers the fake positive news to Teddy… I have no idea why he goes in there in the first place (clearly without a plan), given the surgery ended tragically early and would’ve taken longer if successful. When Teddy asks him to tell Henry that med school takes a long time, he simply doesn’t answer, looks at her mournfully for altogether too long, slowly turns, and leaves. She knows him better than anyone and would immediately realize what he’s hiding from her in that moment.
Subsequently, he tries to argue with Richard that “she deserves to know” because “he’s her husband” (??) - absolutely ludicrous moral grandstanding as if waiting an hour or two for her to finish her incredibly complex heart surgery that only she can handle is some affront to the sanctity of marriage, or some bullshit like that. Then he waltzes back in there with a suddenly fake smile for an unnecessary additional update when he should let her focus at that point (I can’t stress enough how long he lingers during both interruptions - he just keeps staring at her incredibly obviously when he has so many opportunities to leave for the good of the patient).
Yet another point in the column for “Owen is a short-sighted fool with a deeply screwed up set of moral principles,” I guess. And this is the guy trusted to he chief of surgery!
I loved all the OG's parents (other than Derek's mother and Thatcher- don't love them).
Some were really interesting like Ellis.
Some were funny like Mama Burke and Cristina's mother.
I found Izzie and Alex's mothers sad but I liked them and George's mother was so genuinely sweet.
They were the best parent characters imo and I would have liked to see any of them on the show more.
i’m on my first watch of seasons 20/21 and i can’t. i hate her. SO MUCH. and richard being with her through it is sooo out of his character, i think their relationship brought his character to shit.
while being an amelia lover myself I can (to some extent) understand the many frustrations with her, however I have done a deep dive into caterina scorsone and I think she may be my favorite actor to ever exist. I encourage everyone to listen to any of the podcasts she’s been featured in - what an incredible and sage human being. that’s all <3
Crawled into the sub with one eye closed trying very hard not to spoil anything for myself. First time I am watching the show. I’m about halfway through season 9. Something I can’t get past- several seasons ago, I could swear that Meredith had a blood test for Alzheimer’s. Since that episode I don’t recall anything further abut her test.
Did I blink and miss something? I see that the show is quirky, so did she get her results and the audience was left out? Do we ever find out what the results were or am I just remembering this all wrong? Thanks.
In all of their sex scenes, they’re just cheesin’ and laughing and it’s absolutely the best kind of love. I just adore how goofy they are with each other, in and out of the bedroom. They truly were the most iconic and natural relationship of the show.
I was not prepared for this episode to be the musical episode. I’m trying stress over Callie but I’m laughing at everyone singing.
Pls no spoilers I’m literally in the first 10 mins of the episode
GUYS MY GIRLFRIEND ADDISON IS HERE (while my other girlfriend is kinda dying)
I'M near the end of season 2 with my first time watch through OMFG I do not know if this is a hot take or what but Izzy begging Dennys to do this for her is so incredibly selfish of her, then cutting Dennys LVAD to make him worse and make sure he got the donor heart even more so.
Season 14, E13, around half way through. Vikram Roy is disrespectful about April to which Jackson punishes Vikram and says to Arizona, “She’s the mother of my children-“
Note, Children, not child. Samuel is still very much present to him, I’ve experienced very little loss personally, I cannot begin to imagine that kind of lasting pain.
This is all to credit the writers really such small additions really add to the characters feeling human
Comment your favorite and least favorite Grey's character. I'm curious which combo in particular gets the most upvotes!!
