So. I've been rewatching GO with a Spanish speaking friend, and I am also rewatching it in Spanish (I am learning Spanish, so this is rather a good learning exercise for me). However, I generally watch TV with captions/subtitles because I'm hard of hearing and I don't always feel like wearing my hearing aids.
One thing I have noticed while watching (with Spanish subtitles and audio) is that the dialogue and subtitles don't seem to match one another half of the time. I have also switched between the audio and subtitles for both of the Spanish options and they don't seem to match for either one.
Am I just imagining things? Or has anyone else noticed that as well?
Based on a beloved merlotl fic that doesn’t contain most of those things 😂.
after crowley and aziraphale get hit by paintballs when visiting the hospital, and azi says "look at the state of this coat", crowley immediately proceeds to circle him and get a good look at his entire coat xD it's so cute, and then crowley replies with "you can miracle it away" with such care. idk i just love these little details aahhhh <3
Hello fellow good omens fans. I would love to hear ideas on how you cope with grief and disappointment of losing 5 hours of good omens content that we were supposed to get.
The worst part is - the sadness has suppressed my excitement for the whole topic of good omens. Whenever I try to feel excited about anything related to good omens, my brain says "yeah but you only have 90 minutes left of their whole relationship so who cares". Sigh.
I know it's irrational. I know I should be grateful we even get an ending. And I am SO grateful. I would be 1000 times more depressed if it was cancelled altogether. And yet. How to get my excitement back? Maybe once BTS pics will start coming out? Anyone else struggling with losing excitement?
And I can't stop thinking about the S3 scripts that were finished, how badly I want to know what was written. I know Neil sucks...but I still want to read them because they probably have amazing A+C relationship stuff in them 😭 TIA.
Hi there, i’m not a fan unfortunately but I have a close friend who is and I was wondering if anyone might have any recommendations on what gifts I can get them?
thanks!
I can hardly buy Aziraphale Fell as a real name. No sane parent with this last name should expose their child in such a way. But I have a soft spot for names like:
Aziraphale Eastgate
Ezra Fell
Gabriel Archer
Angela Michael
Ana Device
Luc (or Luke) Morningstar
And Crowley is always Anthony J. Crowley no matter what. But I'm torn between Anthony Jay Crowley and Anthony James Crowley, both look fine but depend on the timeframe (Jay is more modern).
In the show we have some of the "evil" things that Crowley did during the 6000 years of humanity, and I was thinking of other silly things that he may have created just to send a report to hell and make them leave him alone: like pants without pockets, or pencils that break the tip easily.
What other “evil idea” do you think he could have introduced into the lives of us poor humans?
My friend decided to buy me the good omens book (very happy about that) but then i just now found out my grandma bought the same book because i told her i wanted that amongs other things for christmas, and she bought the book too😭 so i did tell grandma that my friend bought the book for me for christmas and then she told me she did too. So she is gonna go exchange it for another book before christmas and i want to know if anyone has any book reccomendations (not anything with sh and ed please, or atleast warn me of them) :)

Good luck detectives 🕵🏻♂️
Im just throwing this out there. Rival biker gang fan fic, Az and Crowley apart of separate biker gangs and it turns into romance at a bar. Heres the scene im imagining, Az's gang is at a bar in neutral territory having a drink with the other members. Az is at the bar and the others of his group are at a table. Then, Crowleys gang walks in, Lucys Hell Raisers or smthn, and try to make trouble. While Crowleys gang is arguing and starting to fight with Az's gang, Crowley heads to the bar and sits by Aziraphale. Crowley starts the conversation about how he doesn't understand why the gangs have the need to fight all the time. (The fight in the background gets worse with Hastur yelling at Crowley to help knock someone out). Aziraphale says he just does what the group says because its all he knows, (just to be cool, we'll say that Az's family founded the gang and that he was born into it and basically raised by gang members, also being raised side by side with Gabriel making them practically brothers (2 yrs older than Az, for the sake of this fic)). Crowley says gang life isnt all he's ever known (I kinda just hung around them and got dragged in eventually) and that Aziraphale should get out more. Crowley's gang yells to him that their going back to homebase (someplace set up by the founder of the gang and kept by all other gang leaders including the current leader Lucifer nicknamed Lucy by "the guys"). With the rest of the gang leaving, Crowley has to go, so tells Az he'll see him around. And after all that they meet a couple more times and become friendlier while their rival gangs continue to beef with each other. On one particular crazy late night with their gangs, they leave the original location and go to a different bar and get totally wasted together. This ends with them exchanging numbers and becoming official friends. After that, there's a bunch of secret hangouts, the usual slow burn romance, forbidden love stuff, and a rocky point that is resolved with a happy ending. Also, lots of totally awesome leather outfits, cuz we love leather. This is just an idea. Sorry for the long post, that probably belongs in Ao3, feel free to take the idea and write with it or help me find something already written that kinda uses this prompt. You guys are awesome either way. ❤️
Rewatching S1 with family (as they saw me watching S2, and were curious,) and apparently, I'm now nursing a little crush on Beelzebub.
Please send help. And maybe a can of Raid.
...Damn you Anna Maxwell-Martin and your glorious talent. ❤️ (And your fabulous pinstripes!)

Respectfully, while falling out of my beanbag from laughing, I share with you this abomination. Which is what happens when you go crazy with WhatsApp stickers and the sticker-creation tool, that decided to just entirely crop out Michael's hair. Giving now all of us a glimpse on how he would look bald.
So people who are familiar with Arthurian legends will know that Merlin is the child of a nun and a demon, but I just found out that in Robert de Baron's Merlin (12th/13th century), Merlin's conception and birth is part of a demonic plot to bring about the coming of the Antichrist. So basically Merlin was supposed to be the Antichrist, but he's 'saved' by being baptised at birth, and he winds up rejecting the role of the Antichrist. Is this the inspiration for the plot of Good Omens??
Context: This was on an Instagram reel asking if you were the song "Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy" or "Killer Queen" 🙃
Do you think it is possible that Aziraphale rather forgoes Crowley, I mean a relationship with him, than to endanger him?
Do you think that he believes that this is up to him to pay this price as an angel who loves a demon and that he is not allowed to have him ? This is so sad.
Do you think that Aziraphale is so worried for Crowley's safety not only because of hell but also because he knew him as an angel and saw how bitter and hurt he was after he fell?
Hi there, I have a question. Speculatively speaking. In this one scene in which Nina asks Crowley about their relationship status, Crowley goes away and you can see him mouthing "Love?" looking confused.
I know that you can see this scene several ways, but just assuming for a moment that this was an eye opener for Crowley indeed what to call his emotions for Aziraphale.
Now my question...he as a demon might not have known what to label this feeling, but what about Aziraphale? We know he loves Crowley and has so for a long time. Of course he is in a different position than an angel who always has to put on a mask of perfection. But do you think he knew what it was and just did say anything?
I believe so and I think this is one reason why Crowley is so mad in the last scene when he says: " you idiot, we could have been us." He had just seen realisation in Aziraphale's eyes after jis nightinggales comment. Aziraphale knew the whole time? What do you think.
But like seriously, Azi, why did you say that???
also the first one is the most perfect description of S2 I have ever seen
My husband just asked me to stand by the door. He said Listen. What I don't hear anything. He said That's the point. (he bought a new quiet generator) He has never seen the show so didn't get when I said no nightingales.

"Ready?“ asked Crowley, taking his angel`s hand. Aziraphale`s nod prompted Crowley to turn the crank anti-clockwise. The ground beneath their feet started to shake, only to disappear completely. Stars were racing around them, followed by darkness, and then there was light, daylight to be precise. Crowley, former demon, former fallen angel and Aziraphale, former arch-angel, former tempted angel, were standing next to each other on solid ground, holding hands and touching wings. Some new feathers in a very light shade of grey seemed to have replaced their pitch-black predecessors in Aziraphale`s wings, nicely mirroring the dark grey new addition in Crowley`s plumage. “So”, said Crowley, grinning slyly towards Aziraphale,” turns out, we do get to try again until we get it right.” Aziraphale exhaled with relief:” It would appear so. And: Nightingales”, pointing towards a tree in front of them.
A nightingale sang in what one day could become Barkey Square or something entirely else. The luscious trees in front of them formed a garden, surrounded by a wall on which the two were standing. The garden looked almost exactly like the garden of Eden, except for a missing apple tree, that would much later be discovered to have been thriving on the moon of all places. Instead, in the centre of the garden of Eden there was now a hungry suggestion box painted in a pleasant shade of yellow waiting to be fed. And so, it begins as it just ended with a garden.
Just rewatched the scene with the nazi spies in the church and ask myself:
Am I the only person who thinks that Aziraphale saying to Crowley who keeps dancing on consecrated ground to save him: "I understand, these are your people" is extremely insulting or hurtful?
I mean he came here to save him after a 70 year break and a fight ...
So this has been on my mind for a few years now and I really want to hear what you all think .
I am talking about the 1999 famous movie "Dogma", which concidered by many to be Kevin Smiths greatest movie ever made (I agree BTW).
The story/plot goes as follows : Two "fallen" angels, named Baterlby and Loki, are outcast from heaven, to spend eternity on earth, after drunken shenanigens and showing God the middle finger and quitting. One day they discover they can get back to Heaven, by using a loop-hole in the Catholic belief, if they be "forgiven".
Meanwhile a wacky team of charecters, both human and etherial, are sent to stop them, as this might end all exsistence
Just before I`ll start, I will mention two things : The movie is currently availably on YT for watch, as there is a problem with legal distribution, because the rights belong to Harvey Weinstein! Whatever you chose to do about it.
The second thing is : I was not able to find any mention of any inspirational link between GO and the movie, or the original story, which Smith began to write around 1994!
Now, without going into to many spoilers, if you havent seen the movie, here are the points that are VERY "Good Omens" Coded, in my view:
OK I am not saying that two of the same ideas cannot exist at the same time, without one being an inspiration to the other. Right now there is a movie in the works about God and the Devil feuding and end of the world and there is a 2002 spanish movie about a demon and angel fighting over a human soul - So its a "Trophe" of a sords.
But my brainrott sees the similarities of the two creations and think that there is alot of connecting points.
p.s : Please excuse any grammar mistakes, English not first language and also Im a little sick.
What are his most favorites?😋
