/r/goodlongposts
Here at r/goodlongposts, our goal is to source well written, insightful and informative comments from all across reddit that meet a threshold of being both over 3000 characters in length and at least 30 upvotes or above.
This subreddit is primarily fed via a bot (/u/ModisDead). We maintain a curated list of subreddits that are considered pre-vetted and are auto approved for posting. This list is always in flux and is based on numerous factors, including; how comment-oriented a subreddit is, its broad appeal, its relevance to current events, how often a comment obtains the vote threshold, and many other (subjective) attributes. Everything that falls outside of this curated list is still eligible for this subreddit, but must be manually approved by the modteam.
Everyone is welcome to submit content as well, as the bot wont always find everything. The more good long posts, the better.
Be civil to each other
Posts submitted must follow the criteria of being both +30 and greater than 3000 characters. You can use a site like this to quickly do a character length check.
Linked comments that are mainly comprised or large chunks of quotes with little original content in between may be removed. In practice, it's best to look for comments that don't heavily use quotes.
Additional comment standards would be to not submit lists, low effort memes/copypasta, or topics that are so niche that no one outside of its respective subreddit would even understand what is being said.
No brigading
