This is the first shesh gonna go back next month for color
My drummer and I are trying to get the most clanky, tingy sounding percussion to use with the band’s set. I know about babar, but if you guys have any info I’d like to know the other stuff that he uses, and where we could get it. Sorry if this is a commonly asked question.
I’ve seen babar, the cowbell thing with the springs on it, a dual cowbell thing, and a metal plate cut to the size of a splash. I think that’s it.
Please check out Fit For An Autopsy’s body of work. Their last 4-5 albums including their most recent release that just came out are very influenced by Gojira. They have even been referred to as GojiraCore. If you enjoy Gojira’s early heavier stuff I think you’ll really dig them. They are one of my favorites and my all time dream is to see Gojira headline with FFAA as an opener. That’s all. Have a lovely weekend!
No, not the most original of ideas, but it means everything to me. Done @ Stay Classy in The Netherlands.
Say you're listening to a song you otherwise like and then that ONE specific part shows up and you just want to turn the song off or skip it all together? For me it's New Found. Great intro, great main/verse riff, great drum groove, and a pretty badass ending reprieve, but everytime I reach the chorus and they're just chanting "NEW FOUND LAND ACROSS THE SKY" I get taken out of the whole song. I'm really not a fan of the big arena rock/anthemic style the songs on Fortitude took. So for me, New Found will always be the definition of "They had me in the first half not gonna lie".
On my sons reusable cloth diapers, the brand is "Lil'Helper". They have a variety of products that are meant to replace single use items.
They opened for Metallica in 2010, Vilnius, Lithuania and it was my “first” Gojira show, too bad, I was too young to care about openers, I was there for Metallica, after many years, they are in my top 3 bands, and meanwhile Metallica is not there anymore (still love them) saw them in 2022 and loved it, super stoked that they are basically playing at my doorstep. Rarely any great great metal bands come to Lithuania. Fun fact, they will play in very old prison yard, well it’s no longer a prison, it’s museum/venue, it will be a vibe, that’s for sure.
oğlum ağlattın lan beni
Do y’all think this track is a post-metal song? Cause it’s too “mellow” and calm for me to be considered a death/general metal song. And it’s too heavy and aggressive to be hard rock.
And i don’t wanna call this song just plain Atmospheric Metal, cause it’s way more than that.
And it’s sounds/feels similar to a lot of Agalloch’s stuff to me.
What are your thoughts?
Lots of posts about Gojira's best songs, but what about the ones that missed the mark for you?
I personally don't like Magma at all, that main riff is actually just grating bordering on a headache.
Saw Korn and Gojira over the weekend and haven’t gotten my VIP meet and greet photos in my email yet has anyone gotten theirs yet?
I’ve seen them 7 times, and on the last show I really noticed how much they’re using tracks for Joe’s vocals.
Definitely happening on The Cell chorus, Another World chorus, and another song was pretty obvious too but I can’t remember which one it was exactly.
You’ll also notice they bring the lights up and off of him when this occurs.
Thoughts?
Hey guys
I was kinda wondering: is there any song similar to The Chant by Gojira (by them or any other artist)?
What I mean is: the song is about the Tibetan Genocide. Because of that, I was wondering if there is any other song from Gojira songs (or songs from other artists) that talks about real events.
I thought I could do a playlist that talks about real life happenings. I already have some songs in there:
1 - Kool Aid by BMTH - about the Jonestown Massacre
2 - The Chant by Gojira - about the Tibetan Genocide
3 - 1984 by Slaughter to Prevail - about the Russian and Ukrainian war
4 - Amazonia by Gojira - about the fire in the Amazonia jungle
5 - Colony Collapse by Architects - about the nuclear disaster in Japan, 2011
So, yeah, the question is: is there any other Gojira song (or from other artists) that really talks about this subject like The Chant or Amazonia does? At the top of my mind, I can't think of anything else...
So im a relatively new fan i started listening around sometime last year, this is my first time hearing this album and Gift of guilt honestly is my favorite song right now
So far this is what I have. Gimme the good ones!
Has anyone that went to this received their email with photos yet? I believe I was told it would be the next day but I haven’t received anything yet. Curious if it’s just me or if everyone is still waiting.
I return once again with a new iteration in the gojira album pumpkin. This time from mars to Sirius had been pumpkined
Yesterday I got my fifth (longest and most painful) tattoo. Of course it's heavily inspired by From Mars to Sirius album cover, but my lovely artist helped by making it in a style more suiting for me.
Shout out to the guy getting tatooed at the same time who turned out to also be a huge fan and recognised it instantly.
I love this piece and I'm super proud of it!
The Portland show was amazing!!! The pit was intense!!!
Taken at the Denver show! So glad I got Mea Culpa with the sick ass outro. I’ve watched this back so many times lol. Sorry for the shaky quality! Merci beaucoup 🤘🏼
